About the festival:
The famous Sri Seetha Ramachandra Swamy Shrine at Bhadrachalam and Bhaktha Ramadasu are inseparable in minds of all Born as Kancharla Gopanna in the 17th century. Bhaktha Ramadasu was instrumental in construction of the temple complex with gopuram and mandapam. His devotion to Lord Rama resulted in an outpouring of musical and compositional genius in the form of Dasaradhi Satakam of 103 padyams, dandakam,churnika and over 100 keerthans in Telugu and Sanskrit
Ramadasu's Keerthanas are rich in bhakthi bhava. Saint Thayagaraja himself praised Ramadasa in Prahlada Bhakthi Vijayam, placing him amongst great saints like Narada, Parasara, Thumburu and Prahlada. Keerthanas of Ramadasa are sung event today with fervent devotion in tunes passed on to us through Bhajana Sampradaya.
A (Annamacharya) R (Ramadasu) T (Tyagaraju) were three musical geniuses who enriched the literature of Carnatic Music world by choosing Telugu as their medium of expression. It is Sri Nedunuri's wish to celebrate Bhadrachala Ramadasu Uthsavam at Bhadrachala (ART FESTIVAL) in lines with Tiruvaiyur Thyagaraja Uthsavam. Every Year, on the occasion of Sri Ramadasa Jayanthi, in Pushya Masam Poorva Bhadra Nakshatram, people from all over the country and abroad gather at Bhadrachala to praticipate in Goshti Ganam of Navaratna Keerthanas of Ramadasa set to tune by Sangeetha Kalanidhi Dr. Sri Nednuri Krishna Murthy Garu.

Watched the concert in total tranquility. A very unique feature is the subdued and sublime accomp support by the distinguished trio . Normally in carnatic concerts when Kanjeera is deployed , it gets a step motherly treatment. Yesterday concert was so different and BSP was given due importance by RKM and Anantha . It was a very inclusive and collaborative concert each complimenting the others. Music to see and not just listen to only. Congrats to Team RKM

The more I watch MadRasana videos, the more I like them. They show views from the top, left side and right side. They zoom in on the main artists and each of the accompanying artists. I don't know if they use one camera and move around or use several cameras. The movie is very professionally done. The MadRasana team deserves as much praise as the artists themselves. Ramakrishnan Murthy, Charumathi Raghuraman and Anantha R Krishnan are all my favourite artists.
Yet another pioneer singer of the list class of the Greats.

One comment which might seem out of context.....but let me make it nevertheless. In this concert especially, Ramakrishnan reminded me of T M Krishna. Let's pray artists remain in musical world for their lifetime, without getting entangled in unnecessary distractions.

An outstanding performance by the maestro 👍 Vidwan RKM acquits himself admirably by presenting a bouquet of kritis, well executed in his own inimitable manner. The raga delienations, kalpana swarams, kriti presentation with bhava - all shows he is a class apart. Starting with a mohanam (mohana rAma by the saint where he praises perumAL) he followed up with asAvEri , a pet rAgA of vidwan (lEkhana ninnu by the saint) mAhuri (mAmava raghuveera by dikshitar on navapashanam temple, Devipattnam, supposed to be installed by perumAL Himself) a glorious gAngEyabhushani (evvarE rAmayya where the saint states that none is equal to perumAL) a slokam "neelAbjabrinda" in hamirkalyani, kAnadA, khamAs & SB) nAttakurinji (yEdannunAdO by bhadrAchala rAmadas, in which he asks about the whereabouts of perumAL) & concluding with surutti (geetArthamu by the saint, where he praises anjanEya)
Wonderful ✨ The violin support by vidushi charumathi raghuraman was excellent. Her graceful bowing technique & rAga delienations embellished the concert.The percussion support by vidwan anantha krishnan (mridangam) & vidwan BSP (ganjira) was brilliant.👍 Thanks to MadRasana for bringing the event live 🙏

Absolute dedication to tradition, Padhaanthram & sincerity mark this concert - this is aathmArtham - nowhere you can hear an uncalled theatrical display - he is a class apart - hearing for about 7 years - we need some torch bearers of what the composers wishes to bring out is mouthed through him - kudos to accompanists for their excellent support

This is the first time mridangam artiste yielding to ganjira man! How graciously generous of Anantha R Krishan, the grandson of the one of the greatest mridangam players on the planet. Good for him. Anantha could one day get as great a fame as his grandfather[his accompanying his buddy and Victoria College, Palghat, Kerala] MDR is out of this world.

This madness of Ganjira leading mridangam is really annoying. I respect every instrument and artist but in the name of change and mordenity trying this frequently could be avoided. I know there are some mridangam artist who love to listen the concert instead of playing but that should be an exception. I have enjoyed this experiments on the stage but when I listen it as Rasika it's not really sounding good.
Mridanga Nadham is a very special why to curtail it? I beleive the learnerd artist would consider this request.
Thanks for your feedback. Turns out a lot of rasikas have appreciated this and so we are sure it was not annoying. But we understand that each ones taste is different and instead of giving what you normally get, we are glad we were able to present something different.
Through this we understand not all may approve or appreciate the format and we are perfectly cool with it.
