Ramakrishnan Murthy can be proud of this rendering for the rest of his young life. May he repeat this beauty in future concerts. I have in my collection renderings of this song by KVN and MDR. That's how I fell in love with this song that celebrates 'padavi' -- the status and accolade in that you come to possess in life -- that padavi comes to realization, Thyagarajaswamikal attributed to true devotion to Lord Sriram, his man. Padavi through sadbhakti! True devotion Thyagarajaswamikal sang about. Here this young Ramakrishnan Murthy brought true 'devotion' to the presentation of alapana followed by meticulous singing of "Padavini sadbhaktiyo galgute". May he continue to entertain us for years and years. From the lakeside village of River Islands, Central Valley Calif narayanakurup kanthikumar, a septuagenarian oldest Ramakrishnan Murthy and Amritha Murali fan in ALL of North America, namaskar and pranams to all brilliant pakkom.
Wow, what a concert 👏Vidwan Sri RKM, true to his calibre of being a senior vidwan now, have given us a veritable treat 👍 What to state about the way in which he handled the ragas, neravals etc? To start with, his selection of kritis is just superlative. ( a mixture of all vaggyekaras) The way he presented some quickies and some in a measured manner shows his ingenuity. His Todi, Purvikalyani needs special mention. And sAlagabhairavi!! Oh what a sweet!! Vidhushi Charumati Raghuraman's bowing support was just superb. Her embellishments of swaras etc were too good. The percussion support by Vidwan Delhi Sairam & Vidwan Guruprasad was outstanding. Those short Tanis are too good 👍Thanks to Shanmukha channel, mumbai for giving us a treat 🙏

Shri Ramakrishnan Murthy is one of the leading Carnatic musicians now and he is blessed with a superb voice by Maata Saraswati Devi. His love for Carnatic music has brought him all the way from California, USA, to Chennai and he is delighting all rasikas with his wonderful carnatic music programs regularly.
To say he is a senior vidwan, mahavidwan, etc. is restricting RKM to specific boundaries..he is an avatar born to serve the cause of music and dispense the nectar to each and every connoisseur to choke him speechless, but greedy to drown in it with wanton abandon !

The sabha is holding very good Carnatic concerts kudos to Shanmukhananda sabha. As a rasika of Carnatic music and being an artiste myself would like to suggest two things one the sabha could have more thematic concerts for instance the artiste could sing only kritis set in Melakartha ragams. My second suggestion would be that the sabha is located in Mumbai the sabha could hold concerts performed by local artistes from Mumbai.
Remember the competition he had on his way: abhishek raghuram, and many other upcoming stars, and sticking to it and feeling he can make a living off CM, quite an incredible probability.

An absolutely amazing cutchery by the vidwan, superbly chaste and pure in rendition as well as the choice of ragas. Sri RKM has been expanding his repertoire over the years and the increasing fan base is evidence of his dedication and sincerity to his art and carnatic music. Of course the whole concert was studded by the talented accompanying artistes on violin as well as percussionists. Overall a very satisfying and rich musical evening for 3 hours. An absolutely amazing cutchery by the vidwan, superbly chaste and pure in rendition as well as the choice of ragas. Sri RKM has been expanding his repertoire over the years and the increasing fan base is evidence of his dedication and sincerity to his art and carnatic music. Of course the whole concert was studded by the talented accompanying artistes on violin as well as percussionists. Overall a very satisfying and rich musical evening for 3 hours. Many thanks to Shanmukhananda Sabha from a life member for organising these virtual concerts from such wonderful musicians. Pranams to all.🙏🙏
