Ive probably watched half of youtubes trigger controll videos... and only now after Michael explained it with the pen I really finally understood. What a legend!
ua-cam.com/video/QzlpN75UaSo/v-deo.html thank you Sir, the best advice i've ever gotten and has changed my shooting immensely , won my first trophy and little bit of cash. R.I.P.
This makes a lot of sense to me. I was taught to first shoot Slow-Fire - and hit - 90 + -- then I shot Timed and finally Rapid-Fire. It was under the Winchester Logo. In 4 years I spent 5 to 10K rounds myself.- each year! I shot Silhouette - out to !00 yds. [[After 3 years I bought and shot a slow-fire target - with a Ruger 44 Mag and max loads. -- It was April when I shot it. August was when I was back at the range. -- The owner of the range was so appreciative of my leaving the target pasted on the Range Wall. Everyone walking into the range wanted to try to best my target. I still have it somewhere here. ]} I shot rifle - completed the same Winchester Logo program. What I realized was I could make a slightly-bad shot and salvage it as a 9 or 8. Because I shot 10K or close - over 4 years - my brain saw the image where I proved I could make good shots - with bad sight alignments. I was a kid then. At 22 - I had a decision - would I shoot as a profession and go Mil or Prov or Fed Police. I chose to enjoy the sport and pick another way to make my living. I hope you enjoy! Cheers
What about folks that work 40+ hours a week, and can only practice when time and money allows it? Let alone compete. It's nice that you have a home full of trophies and sponsors names all over your shirt. Right on for you. Most gun owners, and what I mean is nearly all gun owners cannot do what you do, even if they wanted to.
He's talking about the the second joint from your fingertip. Compare the motion at 3:40. See what stays motionless. The part that points forward, the metacarpal of your index finger shouldn't move. You could also say that the knuckle of your index finger shouldn't move, maybe that's why he called it a knuckle. Watch your index finger from above and change the position on the trigger so it won't happen. The distance from the backstrap to the trigger combined with your hands either make it easier or harder to achieve that.

Brilliant man! So knowledgeable about his profession and what a teacher. He's truly missed. Feel fortunate to have known him. Pure class!
Love everything about this video. Clear concise instruction that leaves nothing unexplained. Great stuff!
I love instructors like this. Very laid back and no regurgitation, silly rules, or catch phrases.

Awesome demonstration and breakdown.
Very nice video and explanation.
i know i can't be the only one who watched this and looked at their knuckle during the vid...
That thing he did with the pen resting on his shooting hand to demonstrate using the correct knuckle was genius.

Seriously. Which knuckle?
