    I'm visiting Feb 8-23 and so excited, Haneda airport. I'm actually in the process of figuring out how I can get employment in Japan and support myself (I make a six figure income here in America). I know people would say I'm crazy to leave this position but I want to live in a country where you don't need eyes in the back of your head.

      Thank you so much for sharing your exciting plans to visit Japan! It's always inspiring to hear about individuals exploring new opportunities and following their dreams.
      Your decision to consider employment in Japan is truly commendable, and it reflects a courageous spirit. It's not every day that someone takes the leap to explore life in a different country, especially when they have a successful career elsewhere.
      The idea of living in a country where you feel a sense of security and tranquility is undoubtedly appealing. Japan, with its rich culture and unique way of life, can offer a refreshing change of pace.
      It's clear that you've put a lot of thought into this decision, weighing the pros and cons. It's not crazy at all to seek a different lifestyle and prioritize a sense of safety and peace. The pursuit of happiness often involves making bold choices, and it seems like you're ready for this exciting adventure.
      While leaving a six-figure income position may seem daunting to some, it's evident that your heart is set on creating a fulfilling life in Japan. We applaud your courage and wish you the very best as you navigate this new chapter.
      Keep us updated on your journey, and we hope your time in Japan.
      Safe travels and best wishes on this incredible adventure!
      Warm regards,

    Kinda curious. Can you say which is easier to navigate for arrival and departure: Haneda or Narita?

    • @kojacksvlog7557
      @kojacksvlog7557  Рік тому +2

      Proximity to the city center: Haneda Airport is located closer to central Tokyo compared to Narita Airport, which is located further away in Chiba Prefecture. The shorter distance can make Haneda more convenient and time-saving for travelers.
      Transportation options: Both airports offer various transportation options, including trains, buses, and taxis. However, Haneda Airport is better connected to Tokyo's extensive train and subway network, making it easier to reach the city center and other parts of Tokyo. Narita Airport requires a longer train or bus ride to reach central Tokyo.

  • @abdixaliim
    @abdixaliim 9 місяців тому +1

    Next week, I’ll need to transfer from Haneda to Narita airport. I’ll arrive at 13:30 and my flight departs from Narita at 17:30. Is 4 hours enough time to transfer between the two airports? Is the bus ride time one hour? Is there a security check after arriving at Haneda? Are the lines at Narita long?

    • @kojacksvlog7557
      @kojacksvlog7557  9 місяців тому

      Hi, Transferring from Haneda to Narita airports can be manageable, but there are a few factors to consider. With a 4-hour layover and a 17:30 departure from Narita, you should have enough time, but there are some points to note.
      Bus Ride: The bus ride between Haneda and Narita airports can take around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic conditions. It's crucial to factor this into your schedule. Check here > tokyo-haneda.com/en/access/narita/index.html
      Security Check: Typically, there isn't a security check when transferring between Haneda and Narita, as both are domestic airports within Japan. However, there could be customs and immigration checks. Make sure to follow the guidance provided at Haneda Airport for international transfers.
      Lines at Narita: The lines at Narita Airport can vary depending on the time of day and how busy the airport is. It's advisable to arrive at Narita with some extra time to spare in case of any unexpected delays. Check here >> www.haneda-tokyo-access.com/en/haneda-airport/haneda-narita.html
      Given these factors, 4 hours should provide a reasonable buffer for your transfer, but it's always wise to arrive at Narita with some time to spare, especially for international flights. Consider taking an earlier bus to account for potential traffic.
      Safe travels, and I hope your transfer goes smoothly!

    The smart gates are for Japanese passports only? or foreigners too?

    Hi there. Thanks for this. We arrive from UK in Sept 23 ...if we need the visitor stamp in passport for JR Pass, are we not able to use the e-gates ? Would we need to see a human being !? Thanks

    • @kojacksvlog7557
      @kojacksvlog7557  Рік тому +1

      If you need a visitor stamp in your passport for the JR Pass, it is recommended to go through the immigration counters where you can have your passport stamped by a human immigration officer. The e-gates may not provide the option to obtain the necessary stamp. It's best to consult the immigration officials at the airport for the most accurate information regarding the process. Enjoy your trip to Japan!

      Hello! When arriving at Tokyo Haneda Airport as a tourist, the process for passport stamping may vary depending on your nationality and specific circumstances. In many cases, tourists do receive a passport stamp upon entry as a record of their arrival. I am a Japanese resident, so I went through the e-gates without a stamp.
      However, some travelers from certain countries may be eligible for automated entry processes, such as e-gates or electronic immigration kiosks, which can streamline the immigration process. These automated systems can be used by travelers without checked baggage, like yourself.
      To ensure a smooth arrival, I recommend checking with the Japanese immigration authorities or the airline you're flying with for the most up-to-date information on the entry procedures and whether you'll need to visit a manned immigration counter or if you can use the automated gates.
      Safe travels and enjoy your visit to Tokyo!"
