"Everyone builds a Yamato or a Missouri" Wow, those days are sooooooo in the Past with all of the Amazing Kits available now ( like this one ) Astonishing the level of detail the new molding techniques and machinery provide...
@@christopherslaughter2263I’m building the 1/350 New York and it is my first attempt at PE and not a joyful one. You gain more experience as you go but it’s slow starting.
Great first impression video. I missed this one somehow. Maybe I hadn't start following you, that's probably how I missed it. Thanks Jason, as always very informative. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Great review, the way you rated it in comparison to tamiya and trumpeter makes me feel good about my selections for my HMS Hood, and Bismark kits. Thank you Jason, looking forward to following your build. When you do build it.
Many thanks for looking in and your comments, if you have the Trumpeter Hood check out the Hood association website they have a full rview and a list of tweaks, the kit was developed with their help. Which Bismarck do you have?
@@ModelkitStuff Thanks Jason, I'm planning to build it straight out of the box. I've never undertaken a model like this one. I'm a little nervous about dealing with alot of pe parts so I thought I'd start with the Bismark. The Hood actually has a little photo etch so, I thought I would try to ease into it. I plan on building the Prinz Eugen and the HMS Prince of Wales. So, basically I'm going to ease into adding more detail as I progress from one model to the next.
I know when I get to the P.o.W I'll have to do some serious modifications. I know she is configured after her refit following the battle with the Bismark and the Prinz Eugen.
Hi mate. What an amazing looking kit. The instructions for the PE there look so difficult. The Eduard stuff I am using at the moment look so much easier to follow. I am actually loving using the stuff. See you soon mate.
The hump/deck extension at the left rear is only accurate for Yamashiro. They used the same hull moulds for the Fuso, and the difference is pretty large, so the Fuso kit is a bit of a crock. Fujimi kits are superb and generally accurate in the underwater department, which is not the case of the fictional Hasegawa Nagato hull, and I am not talking of that kit's ridiculous grid lines! The big Fujimi hull parts are often warped and a bear to align however... There is a nice feel to these kits, with great extras like 4 view posters. I leaned towards 1/200, but kits there were so poor in accuracy it is Fujimi quality that brought me to 1/350 all on its own, which is saying something...
Fantastic review as always. I think this would be an amazing build, The Japanese built unique looking ships that also as models really stand out on the display shelf. Would you sell this to me? Seriously ! 🙏 👍
hi Peter, I have one or two kits I would sell but this is absolutely not one of them, took me a long time to get this kit sorry. glad you enjoyed the review, I have some IJN Tamiya kits for review soon I think toy will like

I built a 1:350 scale USS Texas by trumpeter. Details are crazy plus four sheets of photo etch

Hi Jason, really nice review. That looks like quite a kit. I'll be watching for the build. Thanks for sharing.
Looking forward to this one so wont be to long down the pipeline
I have the Fuso kit & love it!
That really looks like a very good kit and it's unique!
took me a long time to get one ate a price I was prepared to pay, almost don't want to build it because then I don't have the kit if you get me
@@ModelkitStuff I understand that for sure!! Lol

@@stevenwheaton874 you will need plenty of after market for the Tamiya Bismarck its an old kit with little detail but dimensions are all good.

Thought about getting this ship soon myself! They are not cheap! Hope you build it soon.
I am hoping to get to this before end of the year 👍🏻

Yep Eduard instructions are the the best
It's Chrysanthemum not rising sun
Ha ha your quite right and I realised what I had said when editing the video but could not cut it out. Your the first to notice 👍🏻
Absolute turret farm.

there are some shoking 1/200 kits and ussualy the hull is the worst feature
The glossy nameplate sticker “戰艦” means “Battleship” and “山城” means “Yamashiro”. So it’s saying “battleship Yamashiro”
Thank you appreciate that 👍🏻

“I paid about £200 for this” shiat, my man. Ouch. Nice looking kit tho. Cheers from the US
The picture on the box is a Kongo class. The yamishiro is a fuso class... oops fujimi!😂
