Dave, I think you'd like to hear this. I followed your steps for the past 5 years. Got rid of the debt 2 years ago. Two days ago, I decided between 2 different airplanes to buy. One I could pay cash for. The other would require financing. I really wanted the nicer one that requires financing. I thought about calling you for advice, and then I told myself I know what Dave will say. So, I slapped myself back to reality and bought the one with cash. It's not as shiny and beautiful as the other one, but it is paid for, and Dave approved.
I don't see that he lets other co-hosts talk that much, but it is true that he can run the numbers better than anyone else on this team, and he can also explain things better.

Thanks Dave I've saved 1500 pounds in 4 months listening to you. I have no debt and haven't had a credit card for 30 years. You make sense. I'm working on budgeting to put away for yearly bills like car service, trips, birthdays and Christmas. UK based so can't get the apps. Just learning from listening. Wish I'd found you sooner.
2023 was a crazy year and next year doesn't look any better. But it's sad that whenever something big goes wrong, many people panic and hold on to money that should be working for them. After watching my portfolio perform in the six-figure range over the last two quarters, I've learned why the market will remain a money pit for those who know where to look. Get help
The markets were ruined because the Fed printed unlimited money. Every time the market crashes, the Fed throws cash into the downtrend. Honestly I need a good investment plan right now, I have a lump sum of over $300,000 in a savings account that is earning next to nothing.
Cool, but I'd like to start moderately and maybe move on to aggressive. Do you just give her your money or copy it manually? I have a full-time job. And what does JILL charge for her services?

The one thing my mom told me don't do loans. I had to find out for myself. Payday loans are vicious. I'm still paying them off. So now that I found Ramsey 🎉 I'm at the beginning of the baby steps and I've paid one debt off so far. 🎉 On my way to my second debt yay🎉 So from a borrowing person not student loans but payday loans I say don't do loans. Save money and if you can't afford it don't buy it 🎉😊 Thank you Ramsey
I have $750 left on my mortgage ( two payments) 40 K in debt on other loans and a credit card, I need to build a new house . The house I’m living in has maybe three years of life in it. Going to build small and handicap friendly / energy efficient. I have the lumber to build owning a sawmill and 140 acres of land. I need to call and get so direction.
If the young lady won't let her husband have some extra fun after baby step three, life can pass her by. You only have one opportunity to make memories with your kids and husband. If she insists, she may find herself alone. I thought Dave's answer to her was great and much more balanced than what she wanted to do. Time to be intentional, not as intense.
Out of all the memories with my kids, the ones that cost the least (even free) have been the most memorable that we still reminisce about to this day. All the paid ones like theme parks NEVER get brought up. You don't need a camper, you don't need a boat, you don't need a truck to haul either one. Get some used camping gear for a couple hundred and you're set.
Agreed about enjoying the simpler times in life - it's always surprising what kids remember, and it usually has to do with the emotional timber of the moment or outing. However, a couple and a family also need to have some fun times and vacations to build memories and childhood passes by so quickly. If she wants a totally paid off house, then get a smaller house and live a little if all your other debts are paid and you have a decent income. Marriage is also a compromise. There is always a tension between security and liberty. @@sam805236
