Ben Woods passed away from cancer a few months ago. He inspired me to learn flamenco, and I love the shout-out to him. Got to trade a few emails with him, and he always had time for his fans. ❤️
Cordoba probably employed a focus group, and the results showed people who are mostly interested in the aesthetics and prestige of an item perhaps think rosewood is somehow more precious. It makes the item desirable in itself, not the purposes of a musical instrument. I remember my grandmother having a real thing for rosewood in general. (I have her rosewood coffee table to this day!) In short, they think it will sell more.
Really appreciated this. First time watcher of this channel and I really liked the discussion and educational content along with the review. Always wondered about fretboard radius and the construction talk.
I began playing a classical guitar as a child. It was smaller and easier to play at the time but as I got older, the muted sound of classical guitars became less appealing. The wider nut also became more of an issue as arthritis developed. But a fusion style body maybe a good addition to my collection. Thank you for another excellent video.
Just played on one of these today and it was fantastic. It definitely has a mellower sound compared to a maple one which I played right after it but I enjoyed the mellowness of it. It was very easy to play.
Very unique sounding wow. never thought the complete opposite of a like normal nylon, would sound like that. Warm but somehow still have enough brightness?
I bought this guitar a 6 months ago, really love the mellow sound. Wanted a nylonstring for a long time, but could not find one that has low action witch is easier to play as a real Flamenco or classical guitar, the radius on this Cordoba does that for me. I play Stratocaster American elite and Gibson Les Paul. Compared to these guitars I have to say this Cordoba has a fast neck witch makes it very pleasant to play. Its a real good guitar for fingerpicking, also playing Flamenco en Classical is possible. Find the pickup not to be the best one, I am going to replace it with a pickup from goacousticaudio. These guys make the best pickup for nylon stringed guitars.
I have a C12 (standard all solid not a plywoody like this one) ,,, I absolutely love it with the factory recommended Savarez strings it is the BEST SOUNDING classical guitar I have ever heard. It's not for flamenco guitar, but for true classical it is amazing. * I did have to do a little setup to get the action where I wanted it.
I couldn't really tell from the video if the mellowness of the rosewood was a criticism. I like these fusion guitar, but not sure if I should get the cedar version instead. Which would you prefer to own?
My hands are old and tired at this point and lately doing some barre chords on my steel strings are causing pain. On a guitar like this would the strings be easier to push down? Thanks.
The radius of a circle is half the diameter. Wouldn’t a 16” fretboard radius be taken off a circle with a 32” diameter? Chris’s explanation confused me. *** Also, I’d be curious to know if the UST in this guitar is the co-axial Sonitone or the flat Matrix style film UST.
You probably caught it…but when you say a section of a 9 inch diameter circle is a 9 inch radius…that s wrong. A 16 inch radius is from a 32 inch diameter circle.
What a play! Peaceful and beautiful❤
Beautiful Guitar sounds great or the person that did the demo song made it sound totally great, he is a very good guitarist. thank you.

Cooper, you are a very good player and your demo on this Cordoba nylon guitar is very good. The guitar sounds nice.

Very interesting, Of course Cooper is a wonderful play that makes guitars show their best!
Beautiful playing, Cooper. Informative chat from Chris.

Sublime mellow tone
Very smooth sounding guitar. I like it.

Awesome Playing
Sounds great
Stunning.
Thank you :)
Is this a specific piece you played or just some improvisation? Sounds incredible and inspires me to pick up my fusion CE!
Beautiful sound and looks. For me, 48mm nut is the perfect width for steel string and nylon string, and I like 12-fret guitars.
It is. Exacly equals 52 ( classical nut width) + 44 (acoustic nut width) /2
Very unique sounding wow. never thought the complete opposite of a like normal nylon, would sound like that. Warm but somehow still have enough brightness?
Very mellow. Subdued.
Could you test the ovation, nylon string it feels, and sounds great

Is the neck comfortable to use left-hand thumb?

I went to the site to look for the price on this cordoba as I have been looking at cordobas and it was not there
How would this guitar be with an open tuning? The “standard” open D, G and C.
My hands are old and tired at this point and lately doing some barre chords on my steel strings are causing pain. On a guitar like this would the strings be easier to push down? Thanks.
I have the Cordoba Fusion 12 Maple. This guitar is so nice sound. but too little High tone sound.
I hope I will be get the Rosewood this Guitar!!
Interesting.

I can't find this Fusion 12 on your webpage.
If you're still looking, you can find it at Thomann
Serious thumbnail.
One nit pick correction. Raduis is based on radius not diameter. High school geometry. :)
It sounds a lot like the redgum classical I play.

Personally I prefer classical tone with steel guitar looks
I have been unsubbed so many times from your channel.
