I think at this point the real question is, Why by a new console or even upgraded gaming PC when 80% of the games releasing are barely 50% working. At this stage, as a consumer, I would, and have, stopped purchasing new hardware until they can show me they can actually release working, functional games. I'm just playing games that i already have or on older consoles that reviews/lets plays have shown me are actually playable and completed. Not "released" games where the last 2/3 of the game have a TBD date of release.
This is true, which is one of the reasons I always prefer playing Nintendo first. There are some (not a ton, but more than the others) that are version 1.0 on the cartridge, no updates, and work perfect. Kirby and the Fofgotten Land is one of my favorites, with a post-game that feels like paid DLC but is just there. Pikmin 4, 1+2, are good to go. Super Mario Wonder. I don't get Xbox or PlayStation until way later into the generation, to play those games cheaper and complete too
True. I bought into the hype. Tbf PlayStation 1st party delivered with Ray tracing, 120fps, VRR, High quality graphical fidelity, SSD but 3rd party is disappointing
I’m contemplating being a LATE gamer, esp on non-nintendo platforms. Why is it that day 1 gamers get shit on day 1 vs a year later you get a completely patched game with DLC included in a cheaper price Vs Nintendo You get gold points for purchasing within the 1st year which you can redeem for future purchases
This why I’m transitioning to the indie market AND why I have become a backlog gamer. I only bought one game on release day and that was Spider man 2. Other than that, I can wait on everything else.
They would have to make a psp/vita that can compete with the ally and steam deck.. the device would have to cost like 800$, i just dont see sony investing in a handheld platform that costs that much. I would certainly consider it, but like the vita the cost would likely drive people away because the logic might end up being “why spend 2x the cost of a ps5 for the handheld when i can just get a ps5..” And im a massive vita supporter, i have a collection of like 200+ vita games, its my favorite handheld of all time. But after its failure i just dont see sony trying again.. tho i hope im wrong on that.

Delays are good *IF* the general public and media outlets shut up about it. Look at what happened to Cyberpunk 2077. Clearly it wasn't close to being finished but everyone was impatient and demanded an unfinished game to be released...and got pissed when it was unfinished.
Went to a talk with a bunch of game companies not too long ago. It was this insane Q&A thing where people just got to ask questions. For smaller indie companies, a lot of delays boil down to funding and the fact they are small companies. For larger companies... Well they tend to say something can be done by a certain time, but they forget to actually ask people working on it if they can do it in that timeframe. Then you end up getting a programmer living under his desk for 50+ hours sleeping on a pizza box with their desk stinking of red bull. Yes, that actually happened once. It's far less common today, but developers are still constantly in crunch in a lot of places due to poor, half thought plans.
IMO, games consoles, like many areas of tech, have peaked. There just isn't enough room left to innovate anymore. It will have to be a whole new concept to regain huge interest.
While I do think VR gaming is the place where innovation is happening, I disagree. Game consoles are a mature category but they can still have big generational leaps unlike smartphones.
I love my PS5 DualSense, UI, Haptics, Triggers, SSD , 3D Audio. The only thing missing is 3rd party AAA fcking up. All i want is a PS5 with 3rd party doing 2160p upscaling 60fps and im goood!! Ofcourse i wouldve said support DualSense more but tbh lot of major 3rd party games like hogwarts legacy, COD, Dead Space, RE4 remake etc use DualSense extremely well
If the ps5 pro does 4k 120fps, what exactly would the ps6 be? The percent of the console audience that has a 4k tv/monitor that can run 120fps is already pretty slim and I doubt that's going to be a massive shift in 3-4 years when the ps6 would release where you see mass amounts of the population have 4k 240fps or 8k tvs/monitors that can do 120fps
I agree. I think they should focus more on releasing ps5 and vr games rather than another unnecessary console. They maybe should focus on some cool ps5 accessories that can innovate game play.
Huh? Did u just say 4K 240fps 😂 Dude thats completely unnecessary. In the same way 8K tvs are. Theres literally no 8k content for a reason. Over 100fps you cant really the diff between 100 and 240fps, u r not super human. They cant even get 4K native 60fps w/o DLSS even on a 4090 on latest AAA All i want is 2160p upscaled 60fps locked, get that right first and make it STANDARD for ALL AAA games, then we’ll think about 240fps and other bulsshit. They been dragging us through the mud for 2 generations without making 60fps standard
@@Teja dude we’re in agreement, my comment was asking what would be the point of a ps6 in 3-4 years if a supposed ps5 pro at 4K 120fps would already peak 99% of user’s tv/monitor.
Like a Dragon : Infinite Wealth, P3 Reload, Granblue Fantasy Relink, and Palworld have been great so far. This month we're getting some heavy hitters like FF7 Rebirth and Dragon's Dogma 2 or even Stellar Blade. I'm not sure it's fair to judge the year 2 months in, and I'm gonna have to strongly disagree with this video.
Speaking on the switch 2 topic, what IF it has backwards compatibility, so say this Nintendo DOES announce it and showcase it in September 2024 along with any Switch 1 holiday bundles to build a game collection for the Switch 2.... but then similar to the PS5 it'll have exclusive games that come out later but still can play previous gen games. Again similar concept to how PS5 can play PS4 games
For PlayStation fans. I don't know why the whole world thinks PlayStation is the only way to game. Buddy Xbox has over 10 1st party games coming out this year.
?? Xbox released more ‘1st party’ games on PlayStation than on xbox 4 on PlayStation vs 0 on xbox The reason mayhaps people think the PlayStation console is the only way is cos of facst. Theres only 4 current gen console exclusives on xbox - Redfall, Starfield, Microsoft flight simulator, and Forza Motorsport Vs PlayStation has released MORE exclusives this month alone, FF7, Helldivers 2, Ultos, Pacific drive And this isnt even including PS5 CURRENT GEN ONLY 1st PARTY console exclusives (NO remasters) - Astro’s Playroom, Demon’s Souls, Sackboy, Destruction All-Stars, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, Returnal, Spiderman 2, Helldivers 2, Rise of Ronin, Stellar Blade
I am in the same boat as Austin at the 8:00 mark, where I just don't care about an upgrade right now to the PS5. Sure, more FPS, but right now I don't feel like any of my games really need that boost right now. If anything, I haven't felt like there have been enough games on PS5
Translated by Google: I am not a collector who wants to buy and play the starting games. I am more of a car enthusiast and with the racing games I play I am more than happy and calm.
ya i thought it was a good idea to buy a laptop and there's not much of an upgrade path for it but it plays every game i throw at it. its a strix so at least i bought a decent one@@Fondoofus5542
Im glad nintendo is delaying the release rather than rushing it and giving us a mediocre system for the next 5-7 years. Though the mistake they made was not improving the internals when they had released the mid-gen oled switch. But now its too late for that.
Nintendo is a joke. They are just milking the switch. Plenty of other companies have better handle heads. There’s no excuse with what tech has evolved into
@@Alien_isolationist Switch is now competing with handhelds like the steam deck, which costs atleast $400 (unfortunately). I think people will still be buying it. Also, im pretty sure nintendo will release a light version that will be cheaper.
I maybe in the minority but I still don’t have a ps5. And in all honesty I don’t see a point to drop $500 on a system that literally has zero games to justify upgrading to when I can still play them on ps4 pro. Not when more important things need money like bills and such. Just my opinion, and the mere thought of them already wanting to start a 6 is crazy to me. What can you do to it make it 12K 🤣🤣
My first PS5 was a scalped console I spent $700 of my tax return on, my second was bought through Rent-A-Center, my third was the Spider-Man 2 edition… I may have a problem 😅😅
2:50 what they meant was that the PS5 has reached the EXACT same point in its lifecycle as the PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4 did at the same point in their lives. It is almost 1/2 of the way through the 7 year lifecycle that every console before it lasted for.
4:17 Aron usually takes a step back with the memes and edits in these talking head opinion videos vs. the product or game videos, but I'm glad he put that part in
For maybe the first year, year and a half, the PS5 was basically understocked, possibly artificially so even accounting for pandemic-related supply chain limitations. There's been little incentive for people to invest in PS5-specific gaming when worthwhile exclusives were few and far between, the PS4 was still going decently strong and more easily obtainable, multi-platform multiplayer games weren't guaranteed cross-platform online play on the PS5 version because of Sony-specific restrictions early on (I don't recall if they eased up on that policy or not later on), and XBox Game Pass has proven for years to be a far better gaming value than PlayStation Plus. This isn't even counting Nintendo, which didn't even have a brand-new console in that generation, simply releasing minor updates to the existing Switch line over time and _still_ far exceeding both Sony _and_ Microsoft of that console generation _combined,_ now about to cross the threshold as the highest selling video game console in history if it hasn't already by the end of February 2024. A device that's basically a Nintendo-branded NVidia Shield with specialty inputs. And I've barely begun to scratch the surface of the actual game offerings.
The game development aspect is the main problem with modern gaming. The development process has become bloated and too expensive and the games directly reflect this. Unfinished and broken games are the result of nervousness on the part of investors. $ vs return just like in the movie industry leads to weak products and consumer apathy. The hardware is secondary to the future of a thriving gaming industry. The resurgence of retro gaming proves this.
You can't blame Sony for that chip shortages and scalpers was why that was the case they easily available now it's no longer an issue it's just global economics
I've had my PlayStation since day one and I don't know, this generation seems different. Less exciting. I have 104 games installed on my PlayStation and only 31 of those are ps5 titles and many of them are remakes and remasters. Instead of worrying about pro and six, How about some games for the system that we have.
I will say this, I spend less time gaming in the past 4 years than a whole year when I was a kid. I don't think hardware is the problem, it's the free-to-play stuff that has taken over making everything worse is the problem in my opinion.
2024 sucks for *console* gaming. This is the year PC takes over. I'm having a blast with my Steam Deck and Steam in general is blowing up in spite of Sony/Microsoft issues. I just emulate Nintendo for better performance lol
I agree that perhaps not in the next few years, but eventually over time discreet GPUs will disappear for gaming in favour of being Integrated. It really feels like both AMD and Intel are attempting to turn their CPUs almost into SoCs, or potentially trying to free up that PCIE slot for a "GPU-style" card meant purely to run AI machines.
@AnoteFrom2 lmao its not illegal to emulate games you own. Also a paperclip is what defeated the switch originally not a emulator. Also learn what copyright infringement is Nintendo themselves admitted yuzu doesn't infringe on any copyrights
There. Is genocide in Asia and Africa, wars in MENA as well Europe the Americas are struggling; no bro…..no, this is so far from the worst thing to happen.
Why make a new Playstation if there are no games for the PS5. Playstation pretty much was like "Well, I don't know what to do with you PS5 besides release a slim.........uh time to start thinking about a PS6." Why don't you focus on making more games for PS5. There are alot of people who still don't have a PS5 and still play PS4 for that reason. Make it worth it.
(2024, the year of 720p games all over again) FF7 Rebirth example = Texture Pop in is so bad. Also why does the foilage not move?.... Last time i seen that was RE4 remake for PS4. Performance mode for Part 1. Graphics mode for Part 2. It's like we are going backwards in Performance mode lately on new games and getting pixelated/aliased graphics all over again like its 2007. 720p upscaled is not acceptable in 2024. At this rate the PS4 Pro gameplay looks better. O.o It's obvious they need to go back to using 4k Checkerboard Rendering like the PS4 Pro did. It was far superior to this DLSS crap that's ruining games.
PS5 hardware is budget level at this point. You can't have insane graphics AND insane performance as easily (especially in open world games ) anymore. PS4 pro wouldn't be able to run rebirth. Or at the very least would look and/or run absolutely terrible
We are in a terrible time for gaming and I see no reason whatsoever to get into current gaming. Everything is a remaster, reboot, re-rerelease and the first party games are far and few between. Everything is pay to play, season passes, micro transactions and patches patches patches. You’re lucky if you can get a functional game within the first week of release. And now we’re expected to pay $70+ for a base game. I’ve gone retro and upscaled games to unimaginable levels of cleanup. Gamers are just too complacent with bullshit nowadays and there’s no resistance put up. Explain how madden has gotten away with robbery every year? Gamers put their money on a table and unlock the doors. When gamers demand more quality and fun instead of ray tracing and FPS then maybe the healing can begin. It’s hitting Hollywood where it hurts now and they’re starting to shift gears.
This is what happens when everyone starts talking about something that doesn't exist. Expectations are there but when it doesn't materialize, everyone gets mad because that thing that was never announced is a tangible thing. Stop trying to make Switch 2 happen. It's not going to happen.
Yes, things have bin slow and it will not speed up. Its not a special year in any way possible. All the console are withering in their wheelchair waiting for their succesors. Its not a good sign, all three main consoles have no big plans. The only with a hint of a plan is ms and even they are dodgy about release dates. This is and will be a very bad year. This year can be saved be a huge shadowdrop like hi fi rush.
@@mikethepokemaster2012 i know…. Still they are already talking about pro versions or skipping a pro version for a new gen (xbox wise). Its already said the dont want console gen cycles of 7 years anymore. And everything is coming to the pc already. This gen is clearly running out of steam fast, and the main target is the switch ofc.
As a jRPG fan, one of the best years in a while. I’ll be playing ff7 rebirth tonight on my PS5. Also granblue Relink, visions of mana, stellar blade (not a JRPG I know), and Ys X. I know bad year for the industry and the layoffs suck. But as a gamer, probably one of my best years.
I want an Xbox version of a stream deck with modular egpu built in docks and modular internal device boards for future updates and treat it as a true console/computer hybrid.
There is 0 reason to put out new systems now (except Nintendo, they need it BAD) comparing the ps5 and the series x to a 4090, sure there is a performance gap but its absolutely NOT a large enough gap to justify new systems. Games haven't hit the ceiling of performance yet either. Devs are the big drivers of new systems. They tell Microsoft and Sony "we want to make this game but we dont have the horsepower to do it" that hasn't happened yet
What if console makers just diss all the circuit makes and make custom silicon, a la Apple? They’ve already done remarkably well with their computer stats but IF Apple really begins supporting for gaming I think that’ll open up the option for the console makers. I’m not saying Apple will be a contender in next gen gaming but their strides made internally may be enticing.
For gaming, I think APU's are the future. This is not by any means at all, the be all and end all of GPU's though. AI for example, is still an ever evolving field, and depending on what you want to focus on, GPU's can be many times faster than a CPU for this. GPU's can also be much better at running simulations for scientific research etc. One of the main problems I can see in the future, is heat. GPU's are typically better at heat dissipation given the large surface area, shrouds, and fans right on top of the heatsink. Bigger surface area, easier heat dissipation. You don't have this luxury when designing something that MUST fit in a slot that's a certain size.
With all the talk about APU's and portable gaming how about arm based chips for handhelds that run Linux and Windows and have consoles use Arm based chips too. The possibility of better battery life and lower power draw.
I personally don't care for ARM on a windows device. I want to have that compatibility with old games. The fact that the steam deck uses a regular 64-bit APU is proof you need that for compatibility for a wide range of games and developers just don't care at all about porting to ARM. Sure we got select mainstream games running on android phones and tablets but doesn't mean we are going to have serious gaming handhelds with ARM. In fact, with the existence of the steam deck, gaming on Linux will get a massive bump in game support as Devs will want that steam deck support.
The ONLY reason i own an XBSX is because i got it used for $300 AUD not $600 Aud. For the price of a new console, you can get a really decent used gaming PC. Im an arcade racer and ive been neglected for the last couple of gen consoles. Im sick of Forza becaue its exactly the same every game. Bring back Midtown Madness, Project Gotham, Burnout etc.
My opinion: I don't think the PS6 will see the same explosive sales as previous generations. There's a lot of satisfaction with the PS5, and since it still functions perfectly, there's less incentive to upgrade right away. I know I'll be sticking with my PS5 for now. Did they forget about the whole PS5 shortage fiasco?
I actually don't have a PS5. Don't see why I need anything more than a PC and Switch, and honestly if Nintendo ever grows their workforce enough to start putting games on PC, I'll just wait on those games and not buy the Nintendo console either.
I have a PS5, PC and Switch. Honestly once I bought a Steam Deck I hardly touch my PS5 now. I get almost everything on PC and switch. The only thing I use my PS5 for is Bloodborne and God of War Ragnarok now. This is probably the last time I buy a Sony console unless they really step up exclusives which I don’t see happening now that the majority of their games come to PC within at least 2 years.
@@AWDTH1111 I bet you God of War Ragnarok will come to pc later this year and idk if they will do anything with Bloodborne again but I wouldn't be surprised to see Demon's Souls come to pc soon either. One day you won't need that ps5 haha.
I still have my PS4 because I still don't see a reason why to buy a PS5 in 2024. There's like no difference between a PS4 and a PS5 except for that it's more expensive. There is no game that has come out in the past 5 or 6 years for the PS5. That makes me want to buy a PS5 because I can still play that game on a PS4.
Like A Dragon 8, Persona 3 Reload, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Dragons Dogma 2, Stellar Blade, Paper Mario 2 Remake, SMT5, Metaphor Refantazio. Seems like a very good year for game to me And those are only the games I personally am interested in. There are ofc much more I didn't name
Would it be to much to say there isn't much groundbreaking stuff in gaming today? It's just another sell out for anything better that's on the way that's meant to dwarf the old tech. But games aren't actually getting better, false promises, unfinished games on release that'll freak out like it's a done product. I'm not surprised about the digital age of games either is on the rise with the same false promises as before. Like I'm the only one disappointed in the gaming market as it is. I'm not saying anything people already know. But the gaming market overselling their hype that we don't buy hasn't gone unnoticed.
my last ps was the 3th. yep... didn't want anything after that. on the other hand, I had an xbox 360, but never the X or one. In 2015 I went PC master race, never came back! also never owned the switch, jumped to the steam deck. My last nintendo was the wii.
I think Nintendo can announce the Switch 2 in some end of year presentation, late November or early December and launch it end of March 2025 and not do any damage to their holiday season because people will want to buy something around then as presents and they'll just buy whatever is there, hopefully Metroid Prime 4...
I don't believe we will ever get Metroid Prime 4 for the Switch. It is the perfect title to be released on a new console, especially at the start of the generation to not only sell some more consoles but push Metroid in the center of everyones attention. The impact it could have right now on the Switch (a "dying" platform) feels a lot smaller then on a new platform.
What I find interesting about the whole Playstation topic is the fact that the margins appear to be extremely slim and that Sony just let go off around 900 people (8% of their playstation workforce). What the f is happening over there?
Acquring Bungie for $4 billion tanked their operating margins. Its not like xbox who microsoft literally bought abk + bethesda etc for $100 billion and wrote it off like its nothign. Sony still is amortising bungie acqusifion with their operating income. 2. Bungie has become a HUGE liability cos every year they stkll have to pay employee salaries and game development costs while bungie is STRUGGLING , their last dlc did really bad, so theres no ROI as of now for Sony. 3. Tatoki had harsh words for Bungie in terms of operating costs, but he said similar for other 1st party studios in that, they dont focus on the costs and timeline to deliver tbe product. Which is unfeasible for AAA sustainibility TL;DR AAA is heading towards a crash, unless a new breakthrough comes from Sony like they did in the PS3 era with these cinenatic blockbuster games, itz going to be horroble forbEVERYONE in the industry
Skill issue. I'm having the time of my life. Just bought a ps5 slim a month ago. So far I've played Ragnarok, FW, Plague Tale both games, Senua's Sacrifice in preparation for sequel, and currently replaying gow 2018, which looks absolutely beautiful in 4k60. DS and RE2 are both on sale and I'll be playing those next. Stellar Blade and hellblade 2 are both releasing this year, which I'm more excited about than I've been for any game in years. Get good
We need an upgrade to the software not the hardware in this generation of gaming my character's Cape should not be messing through my character their body should be a layer and their clothes should each be a layer just like a real person putting on clothes this is where the software needs to be before the hardware take the leap to the Next Generation

The PS5 cannot actually run many games at 4k 120. Realistically step one for a pro or ps6 should be getting AAA titles to actually perform at that level.
the steam deck saved me a lot of money from buying a PS5 since up to now I'm still not convinced that I should get one. In any case I like playing older games like in the PS2 era there.
Theyre taking about the PS6 but theyre already developing the PS7, which you can buy a detachable PS8 if you decide you want it. It;s crazy. Also the PS9 was actually developed in the 1600s but you need the optional teleport drive for the ps10 to go back and buy it. cause SONY.
But Persona 3 Reload came out. It can't be bad! Though Sega's awful trend of Day 1 DLC packs for every game is starting to SERIOUSLY piss me off & should be called out way more 😅
the youtubers that were saying xbox is not gonna be making consoles anymore should just quit youtube they are not even good youtubers that don't deserve to have any subscribers.
I want my next gen console to be a home server that piggy backs on the cloud where I can access all of my media from anywhere. ..and also 120fps path traced blah blah blah..
I disagree with you guys. Sony and Microsoft need to real costs in. You’re going to exclude a huge portion of the market that currently buy consoles pushing $600 plus US. I feel sorry for Australians.

I thought he was full memeing so i googled it out of curiosity and thats how i found out the ps4 pro exists
@@R.B.90 What Is This 2004.
Huh? Did u just say 4K 240fps 😂
Dude thats completely unnecessary. In the same way 8K tvs are. Theres literally no 8k content for a reason.
Over 100fps you cant really the diff between 100 and 240fps, u r not super human.
They cant even get 4K native 60fps w/o DLSS even on a 4090 on latest AAA
All i want is 2160p upscaled 60fps locked, get that right first and make it STANDARD for ALL AAA games, then we’ll think about 240fps and other bulsshit.
Palworld, Heldivers 2. I've been having a good year so far.
Dragons Dogma in a few weeks.
True these 2 dudes are pc and xbox turds so they just like to complain
I'm sorry but helldivers 2 is trash. I'm pissed off I bought it, looks like shit and plays like shit.
Sounds like your rig is trash git gud scrub
I think prices going through the roof but the technology is not keeping up buying new but the games are the same just different names
Again similar concept to how PS5 can play PS4 games
no one cares, switch needs to be switched off. junk.
just get a Steam deck .Its a Switch 10.
For PlayStation fans. I don't know why the whole world thinks PlayStation is the only way to game. Buddy Xbox has over 10 1st party games coming out this year.
?? Xbox released more ‘1st party’ games on PlayStation than on xbox
4 on PlayStation vs 0 on xbox
The reason mayhaps people think the PlayStation console is the only way is cos of facst.
Theres only 4 current gen console exclusives on xbox - Redfall, Starfield, Microsoft flight simulator, and Forza Motorsport
Vs PlayStation has released MORE exclusives this month alone, FF7, Helldivers 2, Ultos, Pacific drive
And this isnt even including PS5 CURRENT GEN ONLY 1st PARTY console exclusives (NO remasters) - Astro’s Playroom, Demon’s Souls, Sackboy, Destruction All-Stars, Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, Returnal, Spiderman 2, Helldivers 2, Rise of Ronin, Stellar Blade
I am in the same boat as Austin at the 8:00 mark, where I just don't care about an upgrade right now to the PS5. Sure, more FPS, but right now I don't feel like any of my games really need that boost right now. If anything, I haven't felt like there have been enough games on PS5
Translated by Google:
I am not a collector who wants to buy and play the starting games. I am more of a car enthusiast and with the racing games I play I am more than happy and calm.

Im glad nintendo is delaying the release rather than rushing it and giving us a mediocre system for the next 5-7 years.
Though the mistake they made was not improving the internals when they had released the mid-gen oled switch. But now its too late for that.
I mean the OLED was just a screen upgrade because of the 2020-2021 chip shortage I feel like everyone forgets that happened
Nintendo is a joke. They are just milking the switch. Plenty of other companies have better handle heads. There’s no excuse with what tech has evolved into
Switch 2 is no different then switch Pro. Casuals don't need a $400 switch. It'll flop watch
@@Alien_isolationist Switch Pro? Thats not a thing, what? We are talking about a new gen not a pro version lol.

I tried to get a PS5 for TWO FUCKING YEARS, I don’t even care if they sent me one for free at this point I don’t want it anymore
You can't blame Sony for that chip shortages and scalpers was why that was the case they easily available now it's no longer an issue it's just global economics
@@weplayvrgames I can and I will, fuck sony
I've had my PlayStation since day one and I don't know, this generation seems different. Less exciting. I have 104 games installed on my PlayStation and only 31 of those are ps5 titles and many of them are remakes and remasters. Instead of worrying about pro and six, How about some games for the system that we have.
I will say this, I spend less time gaming in the past 4 years than a whole year when I was a kid. I don't think hardware is the problem, it's the free-to-play stuff that has taken over making everything worse is the problem in my opinion.
Creative soundcards are better than onboard realtek hardware. As a musician and broadcaster I would never use onboard sound. Tell me I'm wrong 😂
Why don't you make the podcast like for podcasts app? I really would like that. Keep going with that nice content!
Nintendo suing yuzu is probably the worse thing to happen. Its so pathetic and sad and easily the most anti consumer company there is.
yes sir!
But Nintendo isn’t firing half the workforce to make a stupid investor happy so they win by default.
Good for Nintendo. Copy right infringement is real
@AnoteFrom2 lmao its not illegal to emulate games you own. Also a paperclip is what defeated the switch originally not a emulator.
Also learn what copyright infringement is Nintendo themselves admitted yuzu doesn't infringe on any copyrights
There. Is genocide in Asia and Africa, wars in MENA as well Europe the Americas are struggling; no bro…..no, this is so far from the worst thing to happen.
gaming sucks in 2024, unless you play PCVR. only the pcvr modding scene feels like how gaming felt in tne 2000's
What Half Life 2 Back in 2004 About 20 Years Ago We Don't Go to Ravenholm Level.
(2024, the year of 720p games all over again)
FF7 Rebirth example = Texture Pop in is so bad.
It's obvious they need to go back to using 4k Checkerboard Rendering like the PS4 Pro did.
I'm waiting for Nintendo to make a phone. Like that's the next step for a handheld naturally.
If anyone can make the best gaming phone ever, it's Nintendo. Does anyone remember that Sony Ericsson PlayStation phone? No? I rest my case.
dumbest comment ever lmao
Can we start calling Matt "Matt Beastly Butt Odor Ansini"? or perhaps "Beastly Butt Odor Matt"?

I am pretty sure sonys fiscal year ends in march so they are actually at the end of their year right now

DRINK YOUR BOSS DRINK
The PS6 should be able to play any game while dispensing Sony Soda and Snacks.
I want an Xbox version of a stream deck with modular egpu built in docks and modular internal device boards for future updates and treat it as a true console/computer hybrid.
This console generation as a whole has been very underwhelming.
You can get exited for new console releases but if the quality of games isn’t there then yes 2024 will suck for gaming
I don't have a PS5 or XBX. I'm putting my money into my PC.
I don't mind the delays. There's so many great game released in the last 2 months alone, I need time to catch up 😅
With all the talk about APU's and portable gaming how about arm based chips for handhelds that run Linux and Windows and have consoles use Arm based chips too.
In fact, with the existence of the steam deck, gaming on Linux will get a massive bump in game support as Devs will want that steam deck support.
also at some point they are gonna need to take a break from making newer consoles so they can actually build a good game catalog
Terrible year for playstation games... not for xbox gamers....
in australia a ps5 cost 800 dollars
The ONLY reason i own an XBSX is because i got it used for $300 AUD not $600 Aud. For the price of a new console, you can get a really decent used gaming PC. Im an arcade racer and ive been neglected for the last couple of gen consoles. Im sick of Forza becaue its exactly the same every game. Bring back Midtown Madness, Project Gotham, Burnout etc.
IDK what they did with the lighting but Matts eyes are POPPIN !!!!!!
Nintendo 64, The power of a $20,000 Sillicone graphics pc for $199, i'll but a ps5 when they are $299
My opinion: I don't think the PS6 will see the same explosive sales as previous generations. There's a lot of satisfaction with the PS5, and since it still functions perfectly, there's less incentive to upgrade right away. I know I'll be sticking with my PS5 for now. Did they forget about the whole PS5 shortage fiasco?
Is it just me......or have console gaming have plateaued?!?!? I think that cellphones have done the same
They need to focus on making games instead of the power of the console , the power doesn't matter with no games
I feel like the editor set the speed to 1.15x and thought we wouldn't notice 🤣🤣
I still have my PS4 because I still don't see a reason why to buy a PS5 in 2024. There's like no difference between a PS4 and a PS5 except for that it's more expensive. There is no game that has come out in the past 5 or 6 years for the PS5. That makes me want to buy a PS5 because I can still play that game on a PS4.
Like A Dragon 8, Persona 3 Reload, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Dragons Dogma 2, Stellar Blade, Paper Mario 2 Remake, SMT5, Metaphor Refantazio. Seems like a very good year for game to me
And those are only the games I personally am interested in. There are ofc much more I didn't name
Elden Ring DLC, Dragons Dogma 2, Horizon on PC and S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2.... great year for gaming.
The fighting game community has Tekken 8 this year, I say it's a good year for us.
4:03 if people will buy a 4080 for $1600 MSRP they'll buy a god damn PS5 Pro for $800. Dont even think that they wont. People are stupid.
Why 2024.
Games have been shit for a few years now.
Especially with the growing population of shills.
Tbh there was enough good new games in 2023 that I’m good not buying any more this year.
Which is unfeasible for AAA sustainibility
TL;DR AAA is heading towards a crash, unless a new breakthrough comes from Sony like they did in the PS3 era with these cinenatic blockbuster games, itz going to be horroble forbEVERYONE in the industry
The switch 2 will release on the spring otherwise it’ll get shelved by GTA 6
Yes… exactly matt.. people paid 700, its been done… they know we will. They have no reason to reduce it……
The same will fuel now after 22 fuel crisis… they seen us pay double, they know we gonna do it.. they know we can and did.. dont see it falling ever
So we’re NOT gonna talk about the layoffs?
The PS5 cannot actually run many games at 4k 120. Realistically step one for a pro or ps6 should be getting AAA titles to actually perform at that level.
Wait I thought they discontinued only the intel variant, other gpu manufacturers still continue to make intel gpus.
the steam deck saved me a lot of money from buying a PS5 since up to now I'm still not convinced that I should get one. In any case I like playing older games like in the PS2 era there.
I feel like nobody cares, including Microsoft and Sony, about current gen consoles, the way the games have been the whole generation
Next gen will have AMD competing with XBOX against NVIDIA's Switch 2.
Theyre taking about the PS6 but theyre already developing the PS7, which you can buy a detachable PS8 if you decide you want it. It;s crazy. Also the PS9 was actually developed in the 1600s but you need the optional teleport drive for the ps10 to go back and buy it. cause SONY.
Elden Ring expansion in June what are you talking about? Everything is as it should be.
I want my next gen console to be a home server that piggy backs on the cloud where I can access all of my media from anywhere.
..and also 120fps path traced blah blah blah..
i'd go for a modular xbox
It most definitely does no decent games coming out and changing hardware doesn't make it easy to be a gamer no more🎮💯🤔
I disagree with you guys. Sony and Microsoft need to real costs in. You’re going to exclude a huge portion of the market that currently buy consoles pushing $600 plus US. I feel sorry for Australians.
Personally I think that Sony and Microsoft shouldn't come out with another console for the next decade until we get a decent game library. I mean it was hard as hell to get a PS5 because of scalpers.
What people dont seem to get is that SONY was the scalper themselves
