I find this is the closest competitor (not in price) to the a7 IV that came out just after the S5 MK1, and since we won't get another a7 for another maybe couple years, I expect people will think hard about which to buy. I had an S5 MK1, until my whole bag got stolen... three primes and the basic zoom it came with... then I just went back to Sony and got the a7 IV as I wanted phase detect and a few more MP for my photo work. But I really... really loved the IBIS in the S5! Holy moly the a7IV has horrendous IBIS in comparison.
I'm coming to the realization that watching vlogs is literally watching people talk to themselves. He could have carried this conversation without the camera. I'm also realizing that if you are someone who does talk to themselves, you should probably talk to a camera. People won't think much of it 😅
I think part of the problem with achieving higher frame rates (beyond readout speed) is that the sensor has to have an amazing signal-to-noise ratios. As you increase fps, you're exposing for a smaller and smaller amount of time, and if you don't have enough light, it becomes harder and harder to capture a meaningful image. I think that's part of the reason why phantom cameras end up being so expensive.
My perfect camera would have - Catalyst browse + Ibis in camera Electronic vnd of fx6 Tilt flip screen of a7R5 Blackmagic color science and b raw 6k raw upto 60fps All the cinema features(false colors, Vectroscope etc.) in camera Great 🔋 life That's it.

The super high speed burst needs it's own button so when you hit it everything you were set up for is put on hold for the duration. Otherwise you miss the shoot faffing around.

Everyone knows the perfect camera is a drone swarm of 360 degree cameras that create and render a perfect scale model of the 3d space they encompass and then you just put together your shots in post in software that lets you place a camera in 3d space that will simulate any camera and lens ever built and render the footage perfectly. Or if you want even more control, you just pop on your VR goggles and walk through the scene like the holodeck on star trek with your computer generated camera and you can film the scene in "manual mode"
Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs) already do just that. Can rebuild the space and render photos and videos from a moment long gone. While it works with them it doesn't need drones or 360 cameras, ironically iphone pros using lidar are one of the easiest quality methods of capturing with that tech right now. Quality when done right is as photorealistic as a real photo but its just gonna keep getting easier and easier for people to make with even less captured data required.

With a 16x9 sensor in mind, I thought it was weird when Sony announced the FX-3/FX-30 Because they are not so much "Hybrid" cameras like the A7s/A6xxx since they are "Cinema" But they borrow too much from the photography line which holds back the video aspects

Not all cameras have a 4:3/3:2 aspect ratio sensor then crops into 16:9. For e.g., the GH5S has a multi-aspect ratio sensor that extends past the image circle so it retains the same diagonal angle of view, maximizing the usage of the image circle. That said, more cameras should be like this, especially in m43 since a native 4:3 sensor utilizes less of its sensor in movie mode compared to a FF/APS-C camera with a native 3:2 sensor in movie mode.
Given that ND filters can fit in some adapters, why can’t someone make lens adapters or lenses with a built in VND which can be electronically controlled from the camera and integrated into the exposure triangle (or square as it then would be)?

I note that since posting this comment Samyang has released a set of lenses with electronic connection points at the end of the lens paving the way for automated ND filters on the front of the lenses. I'm curious if you put a 1.5: or 2:1 anamorphic lens on the LUMIX S5II if that would get you the wide screen your after while using the sensor without a crop it would be interesting to see what focal length would be clutch for vlogging and nature walks.
I will stop complaining when we have 8K 120fps, internally compressed RAW, AI autofocus. Lens IS + IBIS + gyro stabilizatio, without artifacts and zero rolling shutter.
