It's because of your video that I went and got one of these, and bloody hell, it's night and day, I love this thing and would highly recommend this for anyone seeking to significantly minimize the lag, I recommend the sports setting turned up to 10 for the best plant your foot to go somewhere. Thanks again for posting this, the install was simple, but trying to find a spot where to put the controller was a bit trial and error, but I mounted mine under the steering column on the flat plastic bit.
Awesome mate,so glad it helped,I turn mine off now and then just to see how much of a difference it makes,Have you used 4x4 mode? Not sure what that is for though. Thanks for watching mate👍
I have seen lots of videos speak about been stationary at an intersection and the delay when you want to pull out inbetween the traffic gap and not one (not that i have seen yet) follow up on another video or within that video saying to get one of these throttle controllers. I don't care about going 0 - 100kph of how quicker it may get to 100kph, all i care about is getting my car moving from 0, without the "lag", 1.5-2seconds, to pull out safely. it may not seem long but with traffic it is significantly important. Seeing this video and others about how it feels (the response when at a stop to going), its improved, if it really does make a difference, why don't the manufacturers do this in the programming of the ECU? so on that note, thank you for this video and I will just have to buy one today. :)
Thanks. for watching and for your comments,How did you find the HikeIt? Was it a good investment for you? Would be interesting to hear your thoughts. Enjoy.
@@AussieKawiman hi. Sadly it did not make a difference for my MG at a stop to moving forward issue. During motion it was sensitive but without it and I select Super Sport mode it's still good without it.
@@Hobby1976 if you have a MG HS you need to get it onto AMT mode. There are videos on youtube and simply done in 2 minutes via the settings menu on the touch screen. The difference is amazing.
Define toy improves it, Gives it a real burst of the mark depending on the setting, Sometimes sport mode it too aggressive. Thanks for watching mate, Will do some more vids on the GWM..Enjoy.
I got it from a mate off his Hilux,I ended up taking it off as it made the tray not useful to load dirt bikes as it took up 400mm in the front,Looked cool though.Try a alloy tray maker as they take em off and have around the yards. Thanks for watching mate👍
I just bought a gwm only done 700klm , the issue I'm having is the gears are not changing quickly enough between 2 to 4 , it seems to rev to 3000rpm and just sits there for a while before it decided to change gears, another issue going down hills it just revs ,I have to manually change gears. Will this fix that?.
No i don’t think this will fix those issues,It may change the gear change issue but the reving down hill is called” Down hill decent control” But adding the HikIt will change the car for the better. Thanks for watching mate👍🇦🇺
It’s off a Hilux Rogue, Most dual cab utes are the same size and can interchange the canopies/covers. I dont have more photos but you will need to wire up the electrics to make it open and close..Good Luck
Apparently it does not, but i disconnect it when i put it in for a service just to be safe. Others say it does not but am not going to risk it.Orange light is I think it is the brake hold light. For when you put the brake on at the lights it will go green and then you can take you foot off the brake and it will hold until you press the accelerator. Thanks for watching mate..
Hi, I've just tried to install Hike It XS but the male connection from the throttle, just won't click into the female connector on the XS throttle control. Did you have any issue when installing, as I've described?
Dropped straight on,Although i did drill a couple of holes to put brackets on and for drainage pipes but no probs at all.I did take it off though as i couldn’t use it as a ute anymore as it took up too much room. Thanks for watching mate👍🇦🇺
All these do is amplify the signal, the standard map for the pedal travel is ideal, I have one of these in my cannon and it is on normal mode, it is possibly useful off road to reduce the sensitivity and maybe towing might feel better on a more sensitive setting. Otherwise, spend the money on beer, its more fun. Also, turbo lag is unrelated and unaffected by these.
That's not turbo lag you are fixing. Use your left foot on the brake while holding the accelerator down. It'll close the EGR and spool the turbo, then when you let off it'll go like a rocket. That's what turbo lag is, trying to accelerate the mass of air. Or this does is give the throttle a new map, which is useful in some cases.
Well it sure does fix that big lag off the bottom….Maybe it’s the new throttle map???? That’s why i put it in to fix that which it does. And for $200 👍👍👍
What you mean? Works great,Gets moving off the bottom no probs,Changes throttle response for the better and i can adjust it as well. That’s why i put it on.What is it supposed to do? Thanks for watching mate👍🇦🇺

That big right foot of yours, it's a wonder there was anyway you would have had lag in the first place!
Good one mate...Can kickstart any thing with this one...

It works with manuals just need to set it to it by holding the button to switch between. Thanks for watching mate ..
Nice video, question you said that you had a Hilux roll shutter on the back of your tube, did it bolt right on or required modification?

Thanks mate,I got rid of the roller shutter,Took up most of ute and needed to be wired up ,Didn’t like it..Thanks for watching 👍🍻

Is a couple of issues,Need to get wiring sorted to power it,Need to drill a few holes to bolt brackets to ,But nothing too hard .
