Which optics plate did you use for the Holosun 507c? I'm confused because the one I'm looking at says it's "direct" mounted which obviously won't work with the Beretta.
I know you’re not asking me. But I’ll say it’s great IMO. You’re not using your WML for general searching or pointing at friendlies, so bright is good. It’s bright enough that it can provide a level of stoppage/slowing/blinding on targets but it’s never so bright from behind the weapon that I can’t see my target. The HL is worth it.
I have the same gun and I chose not to add an optic. I like the night sights but the optic sits too high for me and the plate and optic hangs over the sides of the slide.
I was going to get the m9a4 model but found the m9a4 centurion model for a great dam price so I bought it. Not planning on putting a red dot on it. Maybe in another 30 years when I’m in my 70’s and can’t see shit anymore lol.
You'd need skyscraper sized sights to co-witness with the optic. I guess there are optics out there that have rudimentary iron sights built into the back, but you'd still need to put a suppressor height front sight on there. I also don't understand why it didn't ship with suppressor height sights from the factory since it ships with a threaded barrel. The trigger is great though...
Good review, the wife confiscated my beretta as well until I bought her a Sig p320 in order to perform a hostage exchange. I actually went to the store with the intention of buying the M9 A4 and they happened to have a Langdon tactical model for the same price and I ended up going with the Langdon tactical version with no regrets. The G mod decocker spring is definitely worth the investment. Thanks for the vidja.
Glad to hear I’m not the only one that has to “share” his good stuff with the old lady. And I think you made the absolute correct call opting for the Langdon Tactical model. Thanks for watching!
more proof that the mighty glock is as close to the perfect pistol as we will ever have . good luck to anyone who tries to improve on the design, or on the handgun design in general. you just cant beat a glock... ironically up until 2 years ago i absolutely despised glock. i absolutely hated them. but ive been converted.
Shadow systems and zev are the supposedly upgraded glocks but even shadow systems says you have to fire about 300-500 rounds to break in lol Never shot a zev but looks like alien gun
I milled out a 2X4 and put it over the handle of my 92x RDO Compact..then I glued sand in the trigger action, installed plastic sights.. Then threw the pos away. Keep your Glock. I'll keep my Beretta un-glocked.
Slide release was virtually impossible to turn down and release the slide. Gunsmith repaired it, $100 later it works better. I suspect this was not unique to my weapon, 9mos old and been like this since new. he described it as a machining flaw or parts were built incorrectly. Sent a warranty form to Beretta, but I suspect they'll either want the gun, or deny it's flawed. This should have been a recall issue, but as GM did with the Corvette harmonic balancers, just ignore it and it won't cost us anything. We'll see how they handle this request. Anyone else have this issue??
Knowing my brother, “sabbatical” translates to a “6 month bender” involving a few pallets of beer and a case of frozen burritos. If he’s on another sabbatical, I feel bad for anyone around him.
It isn't a bad gun. Even the compact model has good mag capacity. The $60 trigger upgrade from Langdon definitely makes a world of difference, though even the stock trigger is serviceable. For the price, there are probably equal or better striker fired options out there, but if you are dead set on a DA/SA pistol, the PX4 Storm is a reasonably priced and very solid option.
Get the LTT version. Langdon reconfigured all that and the optic sits lower, af least from all the reviews ive seen. And it has surpressor hight sights.
Excellent video ! Very informative and pretty damn funny. Been on the fence with this gun for awhile and got nothing but splinters up my ass . Might have to pull the trigger…..
With a price tag of $1000+, that is a lot of justifiable splinters. It will always be subjective, but hopefully I presented all the pros and cons clear enough for you to make a decision. Thanks for watching.
I carried an M9 for years. A solid reliable weapon. Heavy as hell! I prefer Glocks. I've not made the jump too micro red dots for my Glocks yet... All of my slides are old school. Either refurbish my slides or get new slides w/optic cuts. Then the purchase of the red dots... Haven't won the lottery and my credit score sucks...😁 Thank you for sharing... Also... Last month I posted a video response to your brother Dick... Its a bit long... ua-cam.com/video/N3htEgFk_hw/v-deo.html
Honestly,, the optics are a bit of a gimmick. If you can make hits with irons, there’s no point investing in an upgrade that subjects your gun to another possible malfunction and/or failure mode. I’d say your money is better spent on ammo.
@@dooshbagwithagun6515 Anything to increase the hit probability... However, a pistol is not my primary....I have my pistol to get to my rifle...😁 Maybe some day, I will add red dots. For now like you recommend use the $$$ for ammo.
Well done, Sir. Well Done

Thank you! I feel much better about my M9A3 now 😀
So, were does the 92X RDO fit into this discussion? Is it the same as an A4? It has the optics mounting system like the A4.
Thoughts on the TLR-1 HL? I have the 350 lumen TLR. Wondering if 1000 lumens is too excessive.

Obie-Kabey! 🤣
Beretta 2024 - " Were still up to bat with the RDO and 1 strike and 3 balls"
HAHAHAHAHAH. The Nut Bra!! I love it!!
I too swap out all my guide rods even in my x macro
I’d pay a dollar to see “the brothers” do a colab, dooshbag style !
p.s. He didn’t retire. It’s just a test.
We have talked about doing some joint videos. I’d definitely be up for it if we could line it up.

Great fucking video, I was laughing my ass off. Very nice collection, can’t wait to get the M9A4
Anybody help! I’ve got a 407 holosun. What play do I need for my A4?!
Beretta should’ve put more though into it. The optic sits ridiculously high. They don’t make sights high enough for a co witness on this gun.

I cannot argue with you here.
The triggers on Glocks are still miles away from the best.

Would like more videuhs from Dick, they were informative and very entertaining.
Maybe we need to start a petition. “We Need More Dick!” Sounds catchy.
I was looking at the px storm for my wife.

The only thing I’m ready for is supper. And it’s steak night.
Berreta makes the best looking gun and the ugliest gun. The 92/96 is beautiful. That storm makes me gag.
The PX4 Storm has kind of a 90s/early 2000s look. Trying to be all space-age and sleek. I agree it ain't as sexy as the 92, but it has grown on me.
