its the rabbit hole of buffer weights I think a 5oz. would work .... I own a honey badger from another maker and they use a 8oz buffer but thats for 9mm it would be lower weight for a rifle 223/556 around 3oz-5oz.

Why will the honey badger stock not fit on standard ar?

Thats the problem i have w the trigger tech, the take up and break on the tt 2 stage is perfect, it feels like an on off switch but the reset just feels too weak for me

Slide release was virtually impossible to turn down and release the slide. Gunsmith repaired it, $100 later it works better. I suspect this was not unique to my weapon, 9mos old and been like this since new. he described it as a machining flaw or parts were built incorrectly. Sent a warranty form to Beretta, but I suspect they'll either want the gun, or deny it's flawed. This should have been a recall issue, but as GM did with the Corvette harmonic balancers, just ignore it and it won't cost us anything. We'll see how they handle this request. Anyone else have this issue??

Have you had any issues with your handguard coming lose while shooting? I hear this is why they changed from the U bolt to a hex bolt mounting system.

Did I miss something? I've never seen the HB get rapid deployed like that? Friend has both HB pistol and SD and I'm not sure either do that....have tried. I thought CMMG Ripstock was the only buffer to do that.

You are a wuss. Its a tad muzzle heavy due to the piston system. I carried a Sig 551sp SWAT carbine for four years on duty. Loved it but it was also a tad muzzle heavy. Both are great firearms. Wich one would i pick?? I own a 516 patrol. But would rather have the 551 swat carbine. Civvies can not bye them sadly.

Q uses clear anodize on honeybadger wich increases surface hardness more than anodize with more pigment. So the black anodize should have no part on making it stiffer.

I agree, I have 2 516 a 10 inch and a 16. The best thing I ever did for a gun was MWI hand guard. It really makes the gun much better and lighter. I would love it if they would make one for the 716 the 716 is a tank it's heavy great gun shoots well just the weight of it is the only down side.
