  • In 1944, a middle-aged woman named Carolann Smith abducted and kept two young women as slaves in her home at 10 E. 21st St in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
    Virginia Evans, 31, and Willetta Horner, 30, claimed to be “hexed” and turned over every cent from their day jobs to Smith.
    The report of this bizarre case shocked the city and the house was dubbed "The Hex House."
    The original house no longer exist, but a haunted exhibit of the hex house in Tulsa, Oklahoma has been created for the Halloween holiday. The Hex House was reported on by Ole Jeff of Mysterious Oklahoma.
