Right it’s crazy how far they have come!!! Besides the success, I love that they are still friends. I don’t know if it got awkward behind the camera, because it could have gotten ugly. Much respect for both

That is a proven way to build a channel but not so good if the goal is to win races. It will come. When the wife asks you to go to birthdays and bbqs say yes. Meet other dads, talk about the things you enjoy and see if you can build a new circle. "I have a V8 and a shed" is a good start, as is "I have a boat, who likes fishing?"

Yes, project meteor interceptor looks awesome with the hood cowel so a promod crown vic sould be visually pleasing. However it would not be enough to take the title of coolest crown vic from the meteor interceptor...
I've always enjoyed hearing the entrepreneur side of Garrett. He definitely sets the bar for our generation to be successful and do what we love to do. Thank you for having him on again.
Gotta love seeing Cleet and Coop back together again. It’s always entertaining and relatable. Watching this episode makes me feel like I’m a normal dude and we all go through the same struggles and successes. Can’t wait for World Cup and seeing the racing content but this is a cool perspective into these guys as normal relatable dudes.
She will be daddy’s little girl no matter what you think. I was a stay at home dad for my second daughter for 5 years after a bad car accident. you do get to know what they want the more time you spend with them and having 2 daughters and being with them full time give us a special bond that my ex wife misses out on.
first time i actually connected with people genuinely, so hard to explain parenthood to people who dont have kids, love listening to these guys talk about what im living, and connecting with them
I normally don't watch long podcasts because they are too long. But dang, 46 minutes into this one and I have not stopped smiling yet. Cleet is my favorite person on the planet and Coop was there from the early days. Such cool stories!
Best part of Cleetus goin through the work of blowing engines is it makes such a cool evolution and learning show and great to watch. We all discover the flaws and maximums through the lens.
Man seeing these two together is so nostalgic. I remember watching some of the first videos coop and Cleet where making back in the day. Man was it great seeing what you two accomplished.
Ain't gonna lie, I still get a kick out of seeing my band sticker and autograph on the bottom of Leroy whenever there's a shot of a clutch adjustment or something. So many good times back in the early days.
I love that cleetus is supporting bogetti. You can tell that bogetti was an idea man for cleeter. Cleeter needs him back in all honesty. I know he is doing fine without him, but I think together they are unstoppable
Awesome. For those us who came along for the ride from the very begining with you two and never missed a single video... What a great walk down memory lane. It's amazing what you've both accomplished and inspirational how much family is woven into the very fabric of who and why you are who you are.
I have enjoyed your podcast Cooper. In this case it's cool to hear you and Cleeter just conversate. Two guys that genuinely like and have a great deal of respect for each other.
This is the podcast we all love to see notifications for. Love the life talk and reminiscing. Cooper you're in for a wild amazing ride when you become a daddy
Yep, when my wife left me solo with my son it was like when my FTO stepped out of the patrol car and I took my first call solo as a LEO.....scared to DEATH.

@dalebryant5754 it's an 83 or 83, I own one. It has a flat tappet 302 with an AOD. Great platform to start with. Few things have to be modified because it's just barely different from a fox mustang
Im really excited for Freedom+ That sounds like such a great idea. You can stream so many smaller events that don't get shown because it's not NHRA/Nascar or some other big time show. A LOT of folks, like me, would pay for a streaming service that is dedicated to drags/racing and other great content that you don't get anywhere else. Great bang for your buck and wish you the best of luck with it. I bet it will take off and be the most successful adventures Cleet will end up doing. Always a joy to see you two just talk it up! Congrats on soon to be Bogetti Jr as well!
Love seeing Cleetus on ur podcast. You need to have him on like once every few months. You two talk about everything most car ppl like to here thank you for the great podcast keep them coming
I’m loving channel more and more! Thank you Coop! Super proud of what you’ve built your name to be outside of the McFarland camp. I came for the support I’ll stay for the content!
Wish this was a monthly or bi monthly thing with these two sitting down and talking. Natural friend chemistry and interesting with both lives taking different paths from the beginning of the channel its infinitely interesting.
Cool to see these two just shooting the shit like old friends! I've lost so many old friends I can't do this very often anymore. Very few left alive really at this point as crazy as that is to say at 37.. wow I miss my homies!!
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Tye does seem good at explaining stuff and he knows his shit. 9/10 times he crawls under a car, it works better when he crawls out from under it. Haha
Cleet is right about airports not having good guidelines, I worked with a salesman who taught my old boss how to fly his plane, the salesman got drunk one night and stole my boss's plane, flew it to another city, then showed up at my old boss's house drunk and wanted to take him flying, well, long story short he got fired.
Cooper, I’ve offered build consultation services for years and have rarely had customers purchase them. Typically unless I’m doing the actual build, people are completely unwilling to pay for my knowledge. They’re happy to ask questions and get answers for free at cruise nights or car shows, but typically people won’t pay you to help them with the planning/scope of their project. I’m not sure why.
unwillingness to leave their ego at the garage door is typically the problem.. until they hit that wall of frustration men are god awful at asking for help that could of kept them from having to hit that wall.
To add to what Sir Monkey typed there's also the matter of money and the need to purchase parts often is the priority as opposed to buying knowledge, especially if they have access to the Internet and are willing to spend the time and effort to research different setups.
@@indianaslim4971 yeah, it’s really easy to fall into the “I saw a guy do it on the internet” or “I read how to do it on a forum” and feeling like you’re betting off spending your entire budget on parts, rather than adding in an expert’s labor. I also find that the people who hire me to build projects for them are much more worried about the finished project than people who “do it themselves” 100%. The do-it-yourselfer tends to find more joy in the process, specially seeing as how many of them never finish their projects.
@@indianaslim4971 one inexperienced mistake will destroy all those fancy parts you just bought. Remember, knowledge might be free on the internet, but experience costs real time and real money.
A cool thing they do for diesel events for “street truck” class is they make them do a 1-2hr road cruise no popping hood before they can race in street class
As much as I thought the Godzilla engine swap is a sweet engine it was always meant to be a truck engine and for that it does a fantastic job. Still fun content but maybe some after market support they can be more reliable in a race car 😊. Can’t wait to hear the coyote scream 😀
Look at the current Coyote Cleetus got? how do you compare a complete solid deck Coyote with Top fuel Hoops and receiver grooves in it to that Coyote? I'll bet the Godzilla has the right amount of torque to Horsepower ratio of any other ford engine. Brodix just modified a stock block to handle more power then Cleetus pushed out. Now add in the Top Fuel Hoops and Receiver grooves in that Godzilla? Your looking at 2000 plus horsepower and still have more turbo to play with. No comparison between his new Coyote to the Godzilla. The Coyote is a true aftermarket block to a factory truck engine block🤣.
44:12 I see Cleetus as being the worst teacher ever. He probably goes like: "I sat in it and did the thing, and the vehicle did its thing, and now I am a pro doing it"
The best do’ers are the worst teachers because they get to the point of where they don’t think about it they just do it so it’s hard to teach it because you never have to think about it when doing it
Freedom+ just makes sense. Other than a few great original shows, Motortrend+ is just the discovery channel with a different logo. I think a true motorsports network for enthusiasts is sorely needed. Hearing Cleets plans for it convinced me to subscribe. Excited for LeMullets. Going to road trip down there from Indiana in my 85 Vette.
I'd like to see Cleetus get into rally racing and building a Rally car. I watch those road rallies from Sweden and other Scandinavian countries and those drivers are freaking insane. I bet he would love it especially after participating in those jet boat events in Washington State. Just a thought.
there aren't a whole lot of amateur options in the states. did it on and off for about 6 years myself and unless you're doing it to become a pro driver or sell your soul to sponsors it's just not enjoyable for the cost(way too many rules). something like pikes peak or the mt. washington hill climbs are far more interesting but that s... is sketchy as hell.. one day i'd like to do pikes peak though.
Cooper has NOOOO idea what he is in for. The level of joy he finds in racing will quickly take second place to being a dad. It is the single best thing ever. Once you hold that little mini version of yourself, you will hopefully find a love and a sense of purpose like that has no rival. Enjoy it, journal it, take selfies, don't blink....as cliche as it sounds, it is true advice.
For the Jr. Dragster talk I grew up doing it and it was some of the best memories with my dad even if there was some controversy at some times at the track but that’s drag racing! With the Jrs most of the classes are dial ins so you really can only beat yourself whether it’s on the tree or the dial. Regardless it’s a point in my life I will never forget
The talk about who'd be a good drag teacher and IMMEDIATELY shooting down the very mention of George doing it (love you george but,......) literally crippled me lol Currently at 46:06. Great so far :)
Wow that was great, the other day I was wondering about what Cooper was doing. I often wondered how Leroy got away with so much, now I understand it was not all just show up and beat up the competition. Can't wait til the next one... thanks for this one.
It happened in Irish drifting when they had the live stream less people showed up but Ireland has bad weather and a 2 or 3 hour drive is massive to us .
I’m sad that y’all aren’t in each others videos much anymore, but I’m glad you’re still great friends. Your chemistry together is awesome. Keep ‘em coming, Coop. These pods are great.
Great episode…. I know top gear inside and out, absolutely a nobody and ready to move to Florida to be part of the tv show on Cleets channel. Let’s go!!! 🎉❤
“When #2 comes, you’re in charge of #1”. Don’t kid yourself, the mum is always in charge, you just provide the security for your family. You both have so much experience coming your way, enjoy, it goes all to quickly.
I love how cleetus McFarland is playing with the coaster while his water is sitting on the wood but his phone is sitting on the coaster. Lmfao 🤣 😂 😆 🤣 😂
The point about driving skill for younger kids: I grew up being allowed to drive our family’s Ford Bronco Offroad (Army Core of Engineer Maintained Roads & wash trails) since I was 8, our RZR since I was 14. The confidence I have now with driving on the road, offroad, tracks, etc has been tremendous. And yea less inputs are more, doing 55-60mph through whoops in my bronco (LT) or the RZR you ain’t driving the wheels off, you are just along for the ride letting it eat.
I connected with this steak convo so much, I been ordering medium rare steak my whole life and eating medium rare. Got my 5 yr into karting. Karting was hands down the best thing i could’ve done, he eats, breathes, lives to race that thing. It’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. But, it’s important to remember they are 5. Don’t be a dad that forces it, leave it to the kid to decide.
Two mother nitrous bottles with a quick release valve. Jet powered and they allow nitrous? And 800 hp. Dial first gear same as second would be. Like the push truck at the salt flats.
I remember back when me and my buddy raced jr dragsters the track we raced at always had 15-20 jr’s show up it was so fun I can’t wait till I graduate college and have a job that funds my racing addiction so I can finish building my truck and get back on the track
Around 25 minutes talking about street car class ruling. In Barrel Racing they divide it in “D’s.” The overall (1D) winner sets the pace. Then every half second after is a new “D.” So the way it looks is: 1D) 1st: 15.00 2nd: 15.01 2D) 1st: 15:50 2nd: 15:52 3D) 1st: 16:00 2nd: 16:04 And then on to 4D and maybe 5D. 1st overall is the highest payout 1st in 2D is second highest payout. It still encourages the riders to push hard.
Honestly seeing these two split off to do their things, get big, and come back with nothing negative between them is just so awesome. Hats off to both guys!

Hearing Cleets plans for it convinced me to subscribe. Excited for LeMullets. Going to road trip down there from Indiana in my 85 Vette.
I’m dying. “If it were up to men to have a baby the population would have collapsed.” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This is fantastic! I miss you two together!
not wrong cleetus, i had no idea that the last danger ranger 9000 was happening until i saw the email for the stream the day before it happened. lol
Sooo much content between you and this man
Cleets gon put a body on Leroy for world cup folks lookout
Coop doin the good work these podcasts are coming a long way it pops when you watch an earlier cleet interview vs now
The Hellcat Pacifica should go into MASS production
😂😂😂
Front wheel drive hellcat?, bye bye transaxle...
@@indianaslim4971 they actually made an all wheel drive prototype for fun.. Look it up! It's actually something I would be caught dead in!

So can we get an ameriberra 4200 vortec vs the 2jZ and see if it is close with the inlines
I'd like to see Cleetus get into rally racing and building a Rally car. I watch those road rallies from Sweden and other Scandinavian countries and those drivers are freaking insane. I bet he would love it especially after participating in those jet boat events in Washington State. Just a thought.
Yeah that would be cool. I used to go and watch them in the Welsh Forests here in the UK.
there aren't a whole lot of amateur options in the states. did it on and off for about 6 years myself and unless you're doing it to become a pro driver or sell your soul to sponsors it's just not enjoyable for the cost(way too many rules). something like pikes peak or the mt. washington hill climbs are far more interesting but that s... is sketchy as hell.. one day i'd like to do pikes peak though.
i've been a dad for 14 years now.. and man.. you guys said some stuff that shines a bright light on how much younger than me ;D
Agreed, almost at 2 yrs old and being a dad has been the one thing that changed my life significantly for the better.
I don’t think you can really compare having kids to hobby/recreational activities.
This is a really really genuine interview
I just want to say that a Cletus/whistlin/vice grip top gear remake is the single greatest ideas i have heard in a very long time
Dude! Hell yeah! Would be better then every other top gear except the og with the big 3!
Always good when you two get together! Appreciate the content from you both 🇺🇸
Nice to hear Cleet speak without the rubbish sponsors and showmanship
Nothing wrong with a pint of AG1 while smothering your nutsack in Keeps
Spoken like a forever employee and not a business man.
9:40 woah... Das so much but in retrospect he does have twice the cylinders im used to changing the oil on lul.
The talk about who'd be a good drag teacher and IMMEDIATELY shooting down the very mention of George doing it (love you george but,......) literally crippled me lol
Currently at 46:06. Great so far :)
Always good to see Cooper and Cleetus sit downtogether and catch up.
My 2 favourite racers. I've follwed cleeter from when he used to put whistles in his exhausts to sound like a turbo lol
Wow that was great, the other day I was wondering about what Cooper was doing. I often wondered how Leroy got away with so much, now I understand it was not all just show up and beat up the competition. Can't wait til the next one... thanks for this one.
Great episode love the talks with Cleetus, congrats on your baby, I myself expecting my first granddaughter the same month 🤘🤘🤘 keep up the great work
It happened in Irish drifting when they had the live stream less people showed up but Ireland has bad weather and a 2 or 3 hour drive is massive to us .
Glad you two stayed tight with each other!
Probably the funniest and best pod cast out there
I connected with this steak convo so much, I been ordering medium rare steak my whole life and eating medium rare. The problem is when you ORDER a medium rare, 9/10 the chef plays it safe and it ends up MEDIUM. Order it rare, and it will be the best medium rare steak you ever had and i just made this switch 2 weeks ago. Been having great results! killer vid
Always cool to see you two just sitting back and chatting all sorts. Should definitely make it a regular thing.
There are hellcat 300s but they’re all swap cars! They are the same platform as the charger so it’s a pretty easy swap!
Great show coops , keep it up..... you to cleetus.....
Two mother nitrous bottles with a quick release valve. Jet powered and they allow nitrous? And 800 hp. Dial first gear same as second would be. Like the push truck at the salt flats.
Coop, you should try to get someone like David Frieburger on one of these days, that'd be a good watch. Keep up the good work !
I remember back when me and my buddy raced jr dragsters the track we raced at always had 15-20 jr’s show up it was so fun I can’t wait till I graduate college and have a job that funds my racing addiction so I can finish building my truck and get back on the track
Good to see... Just two old mates havin' a chat like the old days.
My buddy Wayne’s 69’ Chevelle SS ran 7.02 on the 1/8 mile. Big cam, big carb and swap out the rear end gearing and you’ll get there
Around 25 minutes talking about street car class ruling. In Barrel Racing they divide it in “D’s.” The overall (1D) winner sets the pace. Then every half second after is a new “D.” So the way it looks is:
1D) 1st: 15.00
2nd: 15.01
2D) 1st: 15:50
2nd: 15:52
3D) 1st: 16:00
2nd: 16:04
And then on to 4D and maybe 5D. 1st overall is the highest payout 1st in 2D is second highest payout. It still encourages the riders to push hard.
You guys can’t be hyping me buy a C7 like that 😂
Super cool to hear Cleet and Coop talking about cannonball records!
