I think Statler had been talking to her ex long before 1 month before her trip to England. I think she's been cheating on Dempsey and figured if things didn't work out, she would go back to her ex (which is why she was considering meeting up with her ex at the airport while Dempsey was travelling back to England). Why would her ex just coincidentally text her a month before she plans to visit England to visit her new gf and try to ruin that relationship by meeting Statler at the airport and getting a hotel room? It just doesn't make any sense. I think if the cameras weren't there, Statler would have had her ex in that hotel room with her the first night. I've been trying to give Statler the benefit of the doubt, but this is so shady and I still feel like she's not being completely honest.

I feel that Statler feels alone and just floating randomly in the world and is seeking out someone to be with who feels like home. She needs an anchor, someone to stabilize her. Her fear of abandonment is understandable and I think her mistakes that she's made in relationships are all as a result of this feeling. Therapy would help her figure out why she continues to make the same mistakes over and over. She want to move in with Dempsey because she's afraid of losing her and feeling abandoned again. It makes sense but she needs to understand herself more if she wants a long lasting relationship.

I think that her plan is to stay there until she legally can’t anymore, and possibly work on her citizenship while she’s living with Dempsey. I feel like she may have pulled that same card with her ex. Let’s be honest, Statler doesn’t think things through, she’s too concerned about being abandoned and not wanted. She knew her lease was running out, so she wanted to use that as an ultimatum so Dempsey, in a way, didn’t have a choice but to move her in since Statler wouldn’t have anywhere else to go. But that’s just my opinion on her thought process.

Do not let anyone move in with you until you have dated them and got to know them for at least 6 months. Once they move in quickly they change, they will get lazy, not work and take advantage of you. Trying to kick them out is one of the worst experiences you will ever go thorough. They will not leave. Just date! And see how it goes. Dating someone overseas is different. I wouldn’t move to another country if my partner doesn’t even feel comfortable enough to move in together. Yet alone, how would any landlord approve a foreigner with no work visa. Because it’s such a long distance relationship, you kind of have to move things along faster than normal to see if you are right for each other or not. No point in torturing yourself for years in a long distance relationship. Unless Statler is rich, which she isn’t, she just can’t pay a 6 month lease all at once, which is what 99% of landlords will require without proof of income. I think what is going on is Dempsey is a free spirit. She likes going backpacking on solo trips. The last thing a free spirit wants is to be tied down and I think she is realizing she isn’t ready for that kind of lifestyle.

Dating someone overseas is different. I wouldn’t move to another country if my partner doesn’t even feel comfortable enough to move in together. Yet alone, how would any landlord approve a foreigner with no work visa. Because it’s such a long distance relationship, you kind of have to move things along faster than normal to see if you are right for each other or not. No point in torturing yourself for years in a long distance relationship. Unless Statler is rich, which she isn’t, she just can’t pay a 6 month lease all at once, which is what 99% of landlords will require without proof of income. I think what is going on is Dempsey is a free spirit. She likes going backpacking on solo trips. The last thing a free spirit wants is to be tied down and I think she is realizing she isn’t ready for that kind of lifestyle.

It’s pretty obvious statlers being very manipulative dropping that bombshell about her ex wanting to spend a night in a motel together for ‘closure’ just after she’s feeling rejected bc she’s just been told to slow down & not move in with her straight away!! It was very calculated on statlers behalf to be stating that at that moment & very untrustworthy, like wouldn’t u tell her that straight away not days later when u just happen to feel rejected?! She was trying to hold back smiling whist dropping that info, clearly thinking she could manipulate her partner into feeling jealous & trying to make her think see if u don’t allow me to move in I have other options & could go back with my ex. Having said all of that I don’t believe for a second statlers ex asked to spend a night with her esp when she broke up with statler bc she was too heavy too fast, I fully believe it was statler asking if her ex would spend a night with her just trying to see if she could have her as a fall back r/ship. Statlers insecure & way too pushy & needy & she’s wrecking any potential good r/ship she could have bc of it!! I’d flip if someone told me they were letting their lease run out & expected to move in with me that fast! I’d feel soffocated & smothered & be saying goodbye!!!
