This is just incredible. After years of analyzing this map myself, there's still so much you mentioned that I never knew about. It's very cool that so much of it fits with the map you created yourself. I can't imagine the amount of work you put into this, and it's absolutely insane to me that you were able to do it in such a short amount of time.
Thanks a lot! ^_^This was one of the reasons why I took a cpuple of months of break between season 1 and 2. It took me almost three months from start to finish on this bonus episode, which also means that I have to have a break after season 2 also, since these videos are starting to catch up. It really was a fun video to do and I felt like adding a little bit more to it (hence why I also made the electronic background score too).
Two possible reasons Radzinsky might've needed to make a map: If he encountered some sort of time travel event it may have been affecting his memory. If they effects were getting worse it may explain why Radzinsky ended things. The other reason is that locations on the island may have moved around. Locations on the island seem to sort of come and go at times. Maybe when the island moves the island itself can change.
Hmmm I always thought it was the Temple folks that Ben was communicating with. I also thought the tunnels were built by the Others during the Egyptian period. I was completely intrigued by your analysis of the tunnels and vents the Smoke Monster travels through. It explains a lot more why the midsection survivors encountered the Monster more times than anyone else; on top of our knowledge that The Monster has been plotting and scheming for decades to kill Jacob’s remaining candidates to replace him as the protector of the Island. 😎
Thanks! Yeah, when the show aired it felt like the Temple. Especially since it was mentioned by Ben a couple of episodes earlier, but as I mentioned in the video. The various points (extremely steep and dangerous mountain top, mirror system in the Swan and so on), I felt like putting the station there. But nothing wrong with a different theory. :)
Something I didn't see mentioned regarding "heavy water", deuterium is a vital ingredient in nuclear fusion. We see Goodwin refer to the Tempest as a "power station" in a season 4 flashback as a cover, but what if there was a grain of truth in that? Was the DHARMA Initiative trying to unlock the power of nuclear fusion?
This was a really great video, a lot of stuff on the blast door map has been confusing me for a bit but you explain it all very well. I absolutely loved your sketch and theory about the meteorological station, if theres any other info about it I would love to know about it :O
Thank you very much. There's very little about the meteorological station, other than presented in the blast door map, so I felt like this was the best way to connect the puzzle pieces :)
@@Choekaas alright, i think the info provided should be sufficient enough for me to include the station as a small easter egg on my Minecraft map haha thank you for your help!!
very good video I wish they did 2 or 3 more seasons since the last 3 season felt rushed and I wish also showed the meteorological station because that would have been cool but i still think it's a good that they ended it.
Thanks a lot! Let's see, I started writing the script for it in September. I write the script first, record the voice and then edit. I composed the music for this one too (with the exception of one small track). It was finished and exported on December 8th.
@@M4ke4l Hey, sorry for the late response. I think I missed a notification for your reply. I guess I can release it, yeah. I'll probably do it in the break after season 2.
Good question. First of all, I don't think the Others knew how drastic and dramatic that station was. Obviously they knew that it studied electromagnetism and Richard knew of the Incident, but Ben probably there would be louds of scary noises and then the system would break down on itself - overcharged. If he knew that it would continue to build up, destroy the entire station and even the Island, then I don't think he would've said this to Locke.
Where i can find the map of the Island you've made? You are showing it from time to time in your videos but I cannot find any link to it in the descriptions
Good point. I should start having it in the description. I'll do that for every video when I begin with season 3. This is the map for all the locations in season 1-2 that I've been using for the videos: imgur.com/eyZFmht
@@Choekaas Thank you. This map is amazing! The only concern I have is the black rock. It's too much to the south in my opinion. It destroyed the statue and we can see it in one of the episodes. We can see the angle it took right there. The ship was going from the west to the east and by your map, it would go from the north to the south which is quite impossible because there is land that blocks the direct way from the north side. Anyway. Amazing job! I'm really impressed.
Not my native language, sorry. I'm trying my best here. The alternative would be me speaking in my native tongue and have subtitles on the whole thing.
I assume that the show runners were hinting that the smoke monster was a Dharma security system gone awry, which is what the "1985 incident" incident would have been. When they introduced the man in black, they probably nixed that idea. Would make so many big leaps in logic make more sense.
Gosh I want to visit Hawaii... I’ve lived 99.99% of my 36 years within roughly a 50 mile radius of where I was born. I loathe it. The world is so beautiful in the untouched regions, and I wish I had the means to visit all of it. Maybe someday things will line up and work out...
Are you referring to 32:09 where I use the photosphere on Google Street view to look at the peak in that valley? I don't see the problem here. That filming location is the exact same. Meaning that the height of that mountain is the same height on the Island. There was no CGI enhancements or additions to that peak, so their height is the same.
Wonderful video! You analized perfectly one of my favourite subjects of the show. I also liked your scetch about the Meteorology Station. I always thought that the "Aborted #7" Station was The Door seen at the Decoy Village. An incomplete project for a station that got canceled and abandoned. But the description about the underground springs and Heavy Water could match the Tempest, as you pionted out. But why would they consider the Tempest an "aborted" station? Also, when are you going to talk about the Incident Room shown in LOST: Via Domus? Keep up the good work.
Thanks a lot! The Door is also a very cool theory and fits as well. I think that whoever went to the Tempest saw that the stuff there was turned off, assuming that the production toxic gas and heavy water was abandoned. There will be quite a while until I cover The Incident Room. Not until the season 5 finale.

I just realized that the second day you mention (from the map) about jamming communications, might very well be the date Juliet arrived by sub.

21:09 Lapidus speaking truth.
I wonder what was the purpose of Ben trying to convince Lock that not entering the code will not cause any consequences.

It's actually Hanso. I know it would've made more sense as Hansø, but we see the name written like that and it's pronounced Hanso on the show.
Yeah, no. You can't look at the filmining locations on google street view and make conclusions about the fictional island.
