    I love the Terriblefire cards! Excellent capabilities and 1990's appropriate hardware and very similar to accelerators you would find advertised in the various magazines of the day.

    Another great Video Doug 👍🏻 I’ve got a CD32 that I bought a couple of years ago. Got a few CD32 CD games due to a few of them having extras that the CD32 titles provide. Such as Digital soundtracks (Pinball fantasises for example) and talkie tracks (Simon the Sorcerer for example). One thing you didn’t show in your video, is how you choose between the TF and Native CD32 using the CD drive. Apart from that, thanks for taking time to put this out 👍🏻🙏🏻 Oh, I also believe there is now a TF3060 now available for the CD32 (68060 version) 😉

    • @10MARC

      I probably did gloss over the fact that it will still boot CD32 games. I know I meant to mention it... But this one was without a written script so I probably missed it. Depending on my mood, I either write a full script or just wing it.

    Great video on AGS, Terrible Fire TF330s, and deployment. I just finished restoring 3 CD32s and put a TF330 in two and the TF360 in the other. The TF360 is amazingly compatible and insanely fast, even with an LC 060. With the latest firmware, the TF360 can now be disabled to run CD32 CDROMS without pulling the accelerator. The disable jumper/switch header does not work on the TF330 (Until Stephen has time to fix the firmware That man is a legend but he runs himself ragid), which means you can't run many games because of their lack of support for other CPUs (most of these games are in AGS and run great as you are likely aware. Some games will work, but most will not run properly or crash out entirely. I'll have to see if I can get 3.2 or better to run on a CD32 now that you had to go and pose the question..lol! Regards

    Ok 😢wow this is blowing my mind …. I had the same CD32 NTSC setup with a TF330- and was so very frustrated by lack of PAL support (even on boot select PAL, it didn’t output well at all on composite). HAD I KNOWN about the RGB out passing PAL I wouldn’t had sold it over a year ago!

    • @10MARC
      @10MARC  5 місяців тому +1

      Oh for sure! Composite and S-Video are harder to deal with unless you have a TV that directly supports PAL, and the PAL to NTSC converters are useless. RGB works great, though! I can easily change that signal, too.

    I really enjoyed this one. I bought a TF 328 back in 2018 I believe for my PAL CD32. Basically has what's here except for the accelerator! I wish I had the 330. This makes me want to upgrade.

      It's true! I had a pile of Commodore 64 disks that were pirated - dozens of them (and I still have them) - then in 1984 I started thinking about the fact that it was stealing, and stopped doing it. I bought several C64 games after that (the very last one was "The Pawn") and on my Amiga I never pirated a single piece of software. Games, applications... All purchased. During my PC gaming years I bought everything, too.

    Doug, also for the keyboard; you can use an Amiga 2000 keyboard with a regular 5 pin din to smaller or PS2 adapter and it works perfectly.
    Love your video. I have an SX1 and it is great but of course because it sticks out at the back of the CD32 it makes it look ugly but it works.

    • @10MARC
      @10MARC  5 місяців тому

      Wait.. what? A traditional 5 Pin DIN to PS/2 adapter, and then an A2000 keyboard works? I did not think the PS/2 connector fit into the A4000/CD32 keyboard connector! I need to check that out

    • @alanhaynes4576
      @alanhaynes4576 5 місяців тому

      @10MARC That is all I used. When I got the SX1 I needed a keyboard so I could use it like an A1200. I examined the keyboard socket on the so I went to a local PC shop and bought a small adapter with the larger female 5 pin Din on 1 end and the smaller PS/2 male 5 pin din on the other. I was not sure it would work but when I plugged it in it worked perfectly, right up to when I packed the CD32 and SX1 away. Remember that the adapter is just a pass through, but it obviously has the correct wires connected. I did not use the AT Keyboard socket at the back of the SX1.

    I love my CD32 with TF330. I know there's 060 version of TF but I've been wondering if it would strain my CD32 too much. PSU and other parts might even give up after some time. TF330 has been so good that I don't really miss the ultimate power of 060 in my AGA machine.

    • @10MARC
      @10MARC  5 місяців тому +1

      I think the 060 is better utilized in an A1200 or other machine. Mainly because it still lacks serial, parallel, floppy, etc... I just have mine as a games machine, and lots of stuff is incompatible with the 060

      I am not familiar with IR-Puae. I use Amiberry on the Linux Distro on my Raspberry Pi's. AGS is just a disk image, but it is meant to be a bootable disk image. You should be able to use the .img file as the main boot file as long as your emulator supports it. If it has naming restrictions (.hda etc...) you can rename the file.

    How legal is AGS anyway, since it seems to be available for free and redistributing WB 3.1, for which Cloanto still own the copyright?

    • @10MARC
      @10MARC  5 місяців тому +1

      You have an excellent point, really. From what I understand, it is Kickstart that cannot be distributed, but the OS can be. Maybe since the OS is useless without Kickstart. Every emulator has the same disclaimers that you must provide your own ROMS.

    • @stumblepuppy606
      @stumblepuppy606 5 місяців тому

      @@10MARCWell yeah, Cloanto are known for being rather upset whenever someone offers the Kickstart ROMs for free download, but I believe they have also been really upset at Hyperion when 3.1.4 was released, to the point of filing lawsuits, since they own WB 1.X all the way to 3.1? Could be remembering that wrong, but I am pretty confident in thinking that Workbench 3.1 is not freeware. Given how bitter and angry the fighting over the remains of Commodore have been over the past nearly 30 years, I don't see how anyone who purchased the rights to it would ever let it be free for redistribution.
      If the guys behind AGS really want to avoid copyright issues, maybe they could look into using an alternative to Workbench such as AROS 68k which actually has a public license. Getting WHDLoad to work on AROS 68k may be tricky, but everyone knows that the community loves a challenge.

    12:30 you have forgotten the most important option to have a keyboard on a CD32 ?.... also is the cheapest solution and the very old school solution ,YOU CAN CONNECT ANY AMIGA 500 KEYBOARD, , the signals in that din connector are the same as the signals on A500 keyboard pin header connector to the motherboard .....so use your imagination and try to think about how are the oldschool solutions back in the day with no internet , no aliexpress , no monney, living outside that richest countries like uk or usa ..... the need and the lack of resources become into that solutions , ideas and solutions become fanzines..... Only the Amiga makes it possible !!
