  • It's been a long time coming as I have been extremely busy with personal life... I just noticed the two year mark of me owning this awesome scooter ticked over, so here is my review going over everything that needed discussing.

That's cool, you have the twin of my scooter, only yours is gas powered. It looks like it'd be fun to ride.
My electric variant was on Craigslist and was still set up for lead-acid batteries.
Top speed with a fresh set of 12AH batteries was 30MPH, range was 14 miles if I really stretched it; 10-12 realistically, or 6-8 if I really sent it.
The voltage-sag meant that by the time the series pack was at 50% charge, the scooter was unridable. That was the big selling point for getting a gas scoot instead: consistency of power and range. Lithium packs won't suffer from this as much as lead acid cells will.
I swapped mine from a 36V to a 48V system. I got 2x matching 15AH Li-ion packs, and I swapped in a brushless electric go kart motor and controller kit rated for 2000W, replacing the stock brushed motor rated for 1200W.
My new top speed is 40MPH (fastest I've dared, I'll explain later), range is 40+ miles (~20 miles per pack, I got 22 out of one today and I reckon there was another mile or two left before I needed to switch to continue).
Just FYI, once you start getting over 30, the geometry of this frame design starts working against you big time. If you do plan on going the 79cc route, maybe invest in a good steering-damper. I got the wobbles doing 36 on my recent weekend ride, and had to lift off the throttle to correct it.
I bet I could get a 42 or 44 top speed out of it, I just need to get that damper so I don't accidentally _un-alive_ myself at that speed.
Just keep that in mind going forward. I hope to see the results if you decide to modify it further.
    Keep up the good work!

@@DJSekuHusky Man I'm going to get a electric scooter eventually just for shits and giggles but I love these gas ones! Something about a small engine on a scooter amazes me! Any recommendations for a steering damper? I've noticed slight vibration already at 31 MPH.

These are pretty cool scooters, not as many mod options for speed as a 2 stroke would have, they have a 2 stroke version but I liked the frame better on the 4 stroke, either way still a lot of fun!

      I have two
      35cc & 47cc Moby XL
      2 stroke
      older belt
I take em out in the spring and summer
I come home from work and rip up and down the neighborhood
      I had the 35 up to 29 mph on a straight a way I weigh 172
Gotta change the belts on the 47 it’s smother then the 35
The 35 has the header on it air cleaner
The 43 is stock cept the air cleaner
      I’m older
My neighbor loves it won’t try it think his wife won’t let him
I wouldn’t mind trying one of the two speeds

@@peterpiper_203 Hey that's awesome!!! I've seen a couple of those 2 speed gas scooters they seemed go go pretty good based on the UA-cam videos I've watched I think one was a goped. I actually just bought the 49cc 2 stroke from blaze scooters I'll hopefully have a video on that next weekend but it rips real good.

Cool video bro. I am ordering a smaller sprocket so mine can go a little bit faster and I want to get a more powerful engine too.

44 tooth sporket is the way to go for this scooter you'll need a smaller chain as well it's a good spot between more top speed and still decent acceleration from a stop. I was surprised to finally hit 30 mph on it, I am eventually planning to put a 79cc on this scooter in the near future.

@@Judgedbyall This scooter is excellent!!! Only thing I didn't like about it since it's a 4 stroke is the lack of acceleration, the slight lack of torque but changing the sprocket on the back wheel helps a lot. I currently have their 2 stroke version and that thing rips hard.

I've been looking forrward to this video since you mentioned This was very helpful, I'm ordering one today! Much love brother stay safe out there! Thank you! p.s. you mentioned wanting to go 2 stroke eventually. Let me tell you... By far one the best engines on the market right now is the new 63cc brush cutter engine. 1e48f. its cheap, extremely well built, can scream up to 14,000 rpms safely, easiy and simple modiifications and in my opinion puts goped "zenoah/rovan'" engines to shame. There isnt much info regarding the modifications of these engines yet because they are somewhat newer (unless you can speak Philipino😅which i dont) BUT i have been playing around with mine for a year now, joining groups and communtiies, testing trials, its my favorite engine. So if you do decide to go 2 stroke let me know, and ill point you to all the right places so you can set it up right! 😉

Thank you buddy I appreciate you! I've never heard of that engine but I have been long consider other motors to throw on this scooter and the one you mentioned sounds pretty legit, I may consider that over a predator 79cc if it's easier to mount. The predator engine would require me some welding which I suck at 😂

The 63 is slow without engine work and carb. His best bet is a gp460. But if he wants reliable then the g43l which is the best 2 piston ring big bore engine there is that's hassle free. I have one on my GSR40 running 9/76 gearing and it can be held wide open for days topping out at 45mph
