Right? I even told my mom about him awhile back like, there’s this guy who knows not only WHO made it, but the pattern names! I was excited 😅 And showed her around the house about some of our things like this Japanese figurine, and told her this is made of iron, but it should have another figure with it. They usually came in a pair, but sometimes they come in threes. (For example) 😂😅 Like I said, I was excited because my research isn’t anywhere near as good.
I really enjoy all the information you provide for everything. I'm just a small collector but it does help me to understand what I have and what to watch for. Thank you, George
This is how we learn as collectors is by sharing information, everything I know I learned from somewhere else! Enjoy what you find and develop a taste for what you like, whether big or small
From the tone of your voice, it sounds like you were really enjoying yourself shopping in the rain George. You were due for a little break I'm sure. Lot's of unique items at the pavilion. Mahalo for the tour. 😃😍
Luv the old carnival glass esp the marigold and amethyst colors .I collect cats and have 2 pieces of the Fenton early kittens pattern- my favorite pieces in my large Fenton cat collection 😻
Good evening, George. There were some Art Deco cat bookends there that I liked. The micro mosaic pieces were nice. I liked that leather fire bucket. Those were some really nice jade pieces of jewelry. Nice rainy day shopping. Thanks for taking us along!
WOW that is some beautiful jewelry, love the Jade and Turquoise for sure. Also that Fenton hobnail vase. Great show. You have a wonderful day and safe travels
Lots of great things to see. The giant glass pig was something my folks had in the family room. They always put their pennies in it. After they passed, the pig became a mascot of sorts to an event called PIGS - People In Glorious Socks. We are a group that all have antique (or reproduction) hand cranked sock knitting machines and meet every February in Ankeny, Iowa. I had to laugh about your “wimpy” black light - I have the same one. It has certainly come in handy.
I've been to the Brimfield Antique Market once--many years ago. George, you need to go. I saw things there I've never seen anywhere. And there are bargains to be had. I hope to someday to go back.
Thank you for taking us to Mount Dora! ! I’ve only been there once…a few years ago! So many wonderful things! The carnelian jewelry was gorgeous! Also the Navajo rug!!! I found a C.Alan Johnson “String Game” print last year at a local thrift store! (Idaho) Maybe some day I’ll find the matching figure!
Wow, I never have had the prints, even living in Seattle I didn't see them much! Glad you had fun, if you're in Northern Idaho I'm doing appraisal fairs there the last weekend of April in CdA, Bonner's Ferry and Sandpoint
Wild George another great video I love the jewelry and I love the Indian blankets. They were fabulous be safe. Can't wait to the next one. Video that is.😊😊😊
Many dealers who have expensive pieces, in Brimfield, won't give you any information, they look you up and down, and figure you can't afford what their selling, little do they know, what you have in your pocket. it's to bad, they lose and I stay away from them, I live just a few towns from Brimfield , Ma. I watched them, from afar, I know, they sold furniture. Then some dealers, were sooo lovely, and knew how to be respectful to everyone😊
There were a lot of beautiful and interesting items. I love the turquoise and amber jewellery. I have an Mdina Glass paperweight. ❣️☂️🌧 20:01 I think the image on this buckle is of Rembrandts painting De Nachtwacht (Nightwatch).
Re: the enamel painted flower pins....I still have the large yellow flower pin with the orange center. It came in a box of laundry detergent that my mother bought in the 1960s. She had to go out and buy another box of detergent so that my little sister could have a pin, too. Hers was pink with a lavender center.
Hi George! If none of the regular Brimfield dates work, check out Brimfield North... it's in Deerfield, NH in late May and mid-October. Smaller than the regular Brim but excellent none the less and growing every year.
The dresser set was, I think, "Alice blue" - which dates it as well as anything else. 15:50 In addition to the amber, did I see larimar? The latter is a blue and white stone only found in the Dominican Republic. They have amber too, often with a blue cast. I have some bits of both.
Hello George! I am a new subscriber to your channel! I love your vast knowledge and hope to learn many things from you. I recently inherited a three generation estate of all sorts of antiques, jewelry, china, glassware etc. and I have no clue where to begin! A few pieces I am holding on to for sentimental reasons but the majority of the estate items I am looking to sell. I have pink depression glass, Rosenthal and Meissein china sets and crystal pieces that I have no clue as to how to find maker's markings....so I am going to be binge watching your videos in the hopes I gain some direction! Thanks again for your wonderfully informative videos! Crissie, Western PA
Were those gold Christmas tree earrings made by Avon? I had a pair, and they were my favorite holiday earrings, but I lost one. I would so buy them again.
@TheAntiqueNomad , wish I could have seen them better. All the vintage Avon Christmas trees available on Ebay and other places are not the correct ones. Have never been able to find them. If you ever see them again, would you take a photo and send it to me. I will find the lone survivor and send you a picture. Thank you so much.
I have a friend that gave me some stuff for my yardsale I keep having one when weather permits and I've got lots of jewelry mostly costume:earrings, necklaces, pins, rings 💍 and I have other items:vases, plates, punch bowls, platters, a cookie jar, this and that I've got a homemade sign that I made and no one wants to show up and I'm from NC
JFK was highly revered by the Navajo. Many of their homes had portraits of JFK and RFK on the walls. The jewelry that incorporates Kennedy half dollars was created at least in part as a tribute to him.
I was watching one of your videos from years ago and you mentioned a friend named penny i think and said you hadnt seen her since a series of tornados and was worried about her. did you ever get an update as to where she was ?
George it amazes me how you can remember all the history of things you know.
It just sticks with me!
Right? I even told my mom about him awhile back like, there’s this guy who knows not only WHO made it, but the pattern names!
I was excited 😅

Sorry you had bad weather again. Hoping to see you next year

Love love the kokeshi must find
I am looking forward to another fun and informative video.
Thank you! Glad to provide when I can
I gulped when I saw all of the expensive pottery and glass sitting so close to the edge of the tables..
I did too! Especially with the strong gusts of wind that we get in Florida. Scary!
They're pretty experienced with what they can get away with in display, we've all had accidents and learned what we can and can't do
Love the dresser set, yummy
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. You’re the best❤
Glad to share!
I want to quietly walk along behind George so I can touch and learn. He’s a walking historian.
Excellent video. Thanks George!
Couldn't make the live, enjoyed the replay!😃❤
Glad to see you!
So much great jewelry! I wish I had more knowledge about it in my reseller toolkit!

That's right. You Can't judge a customer by how they look. Many sales people make that mistake.
You must make time to go to Brimfield- recommend the Spring and end of Summer/Fall ones!!!
That's what everyone tells me, will do eventually!

😳$155 for the candle sticks!!! Wow! I have a set of the clear with gold flakes that I thought were worth about $15!
Well, I can't swear they'll get that, but even the clear are a lot more spendy these days
Fisherman was playing Cat's Cradle, I think.
Looked like me trying to put a line on a pole lol

I’m from Worcester MA would love to have that. Bucket
New to channel really enjoyed all the information😊
The belt buckle must be a souviner piece. It is Rembrandt's "The Night Watch".
Me, me!! 🙋♀️, I like rusty and crusty
I was hoping you would talk about the amazing woman sculpture that was behind the cool Italian latticino clear glass., she is so cool.
