It depends what define a song as underrated. I love this song. "Easily" in my top 5 (sorry had to do it lol). But I would say Exo-Politics for the Muse's most underrated song. One of the finest guitar solo and an awesome harmony.
I don't get why songs like this one, Fury, Dead star, The groove, Glorious weren't part of the album releases. I personally think these are some of their best songs
+Juan Simon Alvarez I'm pretty sure Glorious was on the Japanese release of Black Holes & Revelations?? I could be incorrect though, don't quote me on that. But I agree - these tracks are fantastic and it sucks they weren't on any of the albums.
Matt wanted Fury to be part of Absolution but Dom and Chris voted against it, so The Small Print was put on Absolution instead. I do think that Fury deserved to be part of it though!
Dead Star was recorded inbetween albums and imo it wouldn't have fit very well on Absolution, so it's probably best they released it as a stand-alone single.

Thomas Hartanto I mean starlight isn't bad. Its just overplayed, and let's face it, if this was the A side you'd probably say the same about starlight. The fact of the matter is, people (me included) like b-sides more because of them being hidden, only accessible to true fans. Its nice to find songs only a small part of the fanbase knows and that certainly makes you like them more.
no, this is just one Muse's best songs - I like Starlight a lot, the arpeggiated synths and falsetto countermelody are genius, but the beauty of the bassline and vocal melody and expression Matt pours into his voice (and his guitar solo) makes Easily easily the superior song and which track is put on the album or not could not change that
Muse definitely is an awesome band, the more i listen to them.. the more i appreciate them. i already saw them once this year in st louis .. but will see them again this year in nashville! they put on a hell of a show!
2:32 I love how this sounds like an inverse of the piano/synth from Starlight. This is a B side and feels like a darker alternative to Starlight, so the notes in that solo are lower
yes I get that muse doesn't do the same music they did before, but muse is still the same muse, I've listened to them since I was 6 and I still am a big fan, it's been 6 years since I've found out about them and I'm still growing on loving them more and more (I'm 12 now XD) I get that the resistance, the 2nd law, and droned weren't really good albums like there old ones but if u stop liking them just cuz of those albums shows that ur not a true pwoper muser😒 a true fan wouldn't loose interest just cuz of albums they don't like, a true fan would respect their choice and still faun over them! Heck I still do! I love all their albums! True fans aren't those people who say "I used to be a big fan of muse but when the resistance era and the 2nd law came around I just stopped cuz they weren't making really good music like they used to" Like bitch! if u were a real fan u would still be a fan of them even tho u don't like the new things there trying out! Like who cares? and yeah I became a fan when the resistance came around and I still liked that album! Although my favorite is either showbiz, absolution, or oos😊 Oh and I'm a girl btw😂 I just love this type of music I hate all that crappy music nowadays, it's all about rock music😊
I'm sick of people that shit talk Muse saying that they've changed when none of their albums are similar and they've always done new things, experimented with what else they can do and what their hart desires like any true musician should. And I'm finished with taking anyone's opinion seriously after The second law bandwagon of hate when it's one of my favorite albums ever. Muse is a prime example that no matter how absolutely amazing a band can be they will still get shit from idiots that can sincerely fuck off along with their blindfolding nostalgia.
Filip Senekovič very true. muse is falling behind...losing fans cuz of drones, the 2nd law, the resistance... they're just bitching about them for no good reason. muse are trying something new and TRUE fans would appreciate them and not talk shit about them. I am coming back to them again, stop listening to them cuz I listened to other bands when muse was the 1st band who got me into this type of good music. I highly hate myself for doing that, blinded myself with other bands...geez what's wrong with me?
It's all well and good using the 'they just evolved!' excuse, it doesn't take anything away from the fact that their music has got worse. The OoS and Absolution eras will always remind me of good times but it's just a shame Muse don't produce music of that quality these days.
The One™ except Dead Star is not a B-Side. Though I must admit Dead Star is starting to get a bit overrated in terms of Muse's "rare songs". I love it but now everyone just wants Dead Star forgetting amazing tracks like this, Glorious, etc.
Good clarification. Of the Dead Star/In Your World duo, I prefer the latter personally. I am glad their recent mini-tour has incorporated some rarer pieces from the old days and songs like Fury, though I doubt that'd continue in the official Drones tour.
The One™ The bass line from this song is easily (no pun intended) one of their best ones. Also, it must be amazing live. I personally prefer Dead Star, but Easily could replace Agitated in the line-up, since the later has been ubiquitous in 2014 and has been played in half of the shows this year. I would also prefer Easily or Host over The Groove (which is just an OK song, imo).
I really like this song, but every version I've found on UA-cam sounds strangely muffled. I don't know if that's somehow baked into the song itself, but I just wonder what it'd sound like live or when it's truly HD rather than... 2006 quality.
Finding those "b-sides" songs is like finding a treasure
name more pls.
I know right!!! Found this song a few years ago and it’s still my favorite. Also love eternally missed and coma.
@@clownworld3398 Coma is great. One of my other favorites.
I really like pink ego box. It's great
Ko. MOUES ko veie Ko vo lp ère MOUES si LILIANE Tony rteera erie Ko BNO Fou vo
This is Muse's most underrated song, hands down.
+Shinku Quickman I can partially agree. Instant Messenger from Muscle Museum would have to be number 1
+Kevin Zygmunt Yeah, I love the guitar in Instant Messenger too. Definately ranks up there.
+Shinku Quickman Instant Message is actually called Pink Ego Box. It can be found on the b-side of showbiz album as well. That's how i found it
+TheJokingJoker Both are the same, so it doesn't matter about the names. Pink Ego Box was not a good song in my opinion
It depends what define a song as underrated. I love this song. "Easily" in my top 5 (sorry had to do it lol). But I would say Exo-Politics for the Muse's most underrated song. One of the finest guitar solo and an awesome harmony.
The bass line should be rated R! So good!
Yeah
The guitar solo is just so heart-wrenching. What a special song.
Both are great IMMO (In Many Muser's Opinions)
Dead Star was recorded inbetween albums and imo it wouldn't have fit very well on Absolution, so it's probably best they released it as a stand-alone single.
Oh my god you're everywhere! and you know everything! Who are you?!
How can a "B-Side" be this good!?
Enamul Hoque Check out their other B-sides. They are *great*
Sometimes their bsides are better than their asides
Just because it's a bside doesn't mean it's not as good as the other asides :)
Isn't anything by Muse great?
I read that as "ass sides" shame on me

When the B side is better than it's A side
Lol true.

If this replaced Starlight or Soldier's Poem I wouldn't mind all that much, prefer Mercy over Starlight anyway
I love Starlight but I find this song slightly better.
one of the best b sides
one of their best songs. hands down.
This should be re released as A side , love it ,
This song came on my iTunes playlist and changed my mood from sour to great. EEEeeeaaasilyyyy!
Why aren't this masterpiece or "glorious" on the album? What's wrong with you Muse? This song is perfect, it's fucking magic.
He wanted this song on the Album, but sadly, he didn't finish it until after BHAR came out.
glorious was on the Japanese edition of BHAR
@@tristanraine did they play it in real life
@@dariasavinaenergy yes, in 2017, 2018
This song is so catchy and clean. It oozes Muse. I’ll never understand why this is a B-side.
Muse definitely is an awesome band, the more i listen to them.. the more i appreciate them. i already saw them once this year in st louis .. but will see them again this year in nashville! they put on a hell of a show!

GREAT SONG
This is my favourite Muse bass line
This should have been a single with Starlight being it's B-side. It's so much better...

This song is as good as any Muse song. Why do they hide it so?
2:32 I love how this sounds like an inverse of the piano/synth from Starlight. This is a B side and feels like a darker alternative to Starlight, so the notes in that solo are lower
MUSE RULE!!!
My favorite solo of all songs Muse!!!! 2:16
Dang, this is probably my favourite B-side of theirs. Juicy!
So much emotion. Almost too much emotion

Just hoped the chorus were longer :(
Okay guys go check Shepherd's Bush Empire, London 19/08/2017 live he played it and all a bunch of all old song

Damn why B-sides songs are so good

As the biggest Muse fan in Ireland 🇮🇪 (joke) this song reminds me of Shrinking Universe. There no band the same as Muse.

You're right, people should stop having opinions. How dare they?
Azazel Not if they are trying to push the band in a direction they don't personally want to go.

The Dark Side reminds me of this. Hmm.
Hi Kevin!!
Muse redefined "B-Side"
See Radiohead
HI MOHAD. you are hilarious
Easily Muse's best B-side. Far and away better than Dead Star, whatever the vast majority of Musers may believe.
The One™ except Dead Star is not a B-Side. Though I must admit Dead Star is starting to get a bit overrated in terms of Muse's "rare songs". I love it but now everyone just wants Dead Star forgetting amazing tracks like this, Glorious, etc.
