    Recently listened to the Honesty podcast interview with Melissa Kearney, and really wonder about the emphasis on being married and not just “having two parents”.
    This feels hopelessly old-fashioned to me and sort of like a personal take.
    Here in the Netherlands -agreed, not the US, but same difference- me and my girlfriend have been together, unmarried, for 25 years.
    Most of our friends are also not married. Hardly think about it either.
    Also, the described form of “privilege” has to do with behavior and choice. The more well-known “privileges” (for instance the “white” and “male” one) are less interchangeable. They even are unescapable.
