Absolutely unreal lines. I know Khorkina won all those world and Olympic titles, but this is my favorite Russian on bars ever. Not only did she win two Olympic golds, but she carried an air of mutual respect and consideration for everyone she competed against. If she won, she was happy. If she didn’t, she would congratulate whoever did and rejoice with them for their performance. THAT is the measure of a true legend.
@@hannibaljustincase9985 what are you even talking about? Even if she had slightly more deductions, Madison would have still won silver…. Look at the scoring. Also- that was one of her BEST UB routines. Not sure why you think she was overscored 😂
really agree... her handstands stop at the top of the bars.... and her dismount... THAT DISMOUNT IS REALLY HERS!!! Many have been saying that she can no longer do that dismount because the last time she did it was at worlds 2013... well here it is... the mustafina dismount for all the world to see, performed by.... MUTAFINA... PERFECTION...
When you look at her and think "why the hell doesn't she upgrade this routine. It's so easy for her!", that's when you know she's doing something right.
I was hoping she’d do some upgrades when she came back in 2018 after her little one was born, but I also knew by then that the body was probably saying it had had enough. Gymnastics is definitely a physically demanding sport, she’d had her share of injuries and eventually it starts saying “ok, that’s it.” She can carry the honor of two Olympic golds with her forever, along with multiple world titles and medals- not many can say that for sure.
Sorry, bit I totally disageee. The handstands are great. Just the minimum inclination on the pirouettes. Bent arms only in the transition from LB to HB. And the feet separation at the landing. That's ALL. Thank you.
@@robsoncoutinho353 I love Aliya, but there are some other deductions, such as flexed feet on inbars and transitions, lack of balance and separation on her last pirouette as well. this routine was her weakest at those Olympics tho

The only difference was that one missed handstand- but that’s all it takes at that level.

nah, there's various form breaks, bent arms and missed handstands. I think this is fair :)
