In a sense, I grew up with them - when I first got really into Yugioh around high school, Zexal was the main anime and so it stuck with me. I liked it enough that I tried out Arc V and Vrains - enjoyed both too. Need to go back and watch DM and GX though because those definitely have their moments too.

Both are classics! Anytime Junk Warrior would be summoned in 5DS was amazing (especially the first time when Yusei uses it to beat Trudge). And the one scene where Yuto summons it against Sawatari to absolutely dumpster him was incredible. I've used that clip a few times in some of my videos :P

Iconic Moment: ¨my grandpa's deck has no pathetic cards, but it does have the ubstople exodia. Exodia...exodia obliterate!!!¨
    NOTHING will out pass that.
Art is hard but easy, I mostly collect grils, Mostly Demons//Fiends but girl all around. one of my FAVE cards art to this day is (one of em, male cus girls almost all) is "METAL ZOA", I ALWAYS love that art and card, I was like into it so hard I drew it a lot (Hard to fine art of it around that time) and made it effects it was crazy. I actually got the card to even it was trash, and art look cool and when it was in forbidden memorys... I need it and have it. I have 1 of the cards so IF we get more metal heave support cards and Metal Zoa is in there (HOPE AMAZING EFFECT AND ART TBH) Im making that deck for sure.
Sentimental value...... Do think Effect Veiler, She is one of my all time fave cards but one I got my Ult Veilers way back, that day I was supper sick, had to go home and actually thinking of the card in the way woke me up, I could have fallen asleep and not woken up and gotten worst on a public transport, but got well also Fabled Grimro was there to in that dream and also collect her to, I even have a custome play mat of Grimro... u could say its a 2 cards in one.
Lol!!! I had Crabking sod it like in 20$ and still have the manga btw, good card for way back Also ARK pulled it from a box with Exiton knight when it was like 200$, one of my "friends" stoled it the same day... what a pal.
Mostly got some more storys but I think that covers the theme.

There are a lot of cards i hold dear to my heart, so i'll talk about 3 of them.
The first one is darklord nasten. Duel links was my first ever way that i played yugioh online with other people, and i played it back in 2019-2020, and one of the first decks i ever had was darklords. Not the meta version of darklords that dominated duel links at the time, but a random pile that had a bunch of random cards (i dont think i even had the rota or ixchel until later). But what got me into the archetype was its sick artwork and the amount of cards it had that summoned big monsters. It was also very bricky, but Nasten was the highlight of the deck. It's a big body that summons itself by discarding 2 cards, and at the time i was like "a free body for just 2 discards? Sign me up please." There were a lot of duels where i bricked and drawing into it saved me the duel. So the card holds a special place in my heart.
The second card i want to talk about is Melodious Bloom Diva, the (former) boes monster of melodious. Also around that time, i got into watching yugitube, and i also discovered ygopro, and one of my favourite channels to watch was the duel logs. One of the videos i watched was a video on boss monsters, and Bloom Diva was on there. When he described the card i literally dropped my jaw. A monster that cant be destroyed by battle OR card effects? I didnt know any other card that had this sort of protection. So I immediately got into making a melodious deck on edopro. I had so many duels where i just sat on bloom diva and slowly burned my opponent down with its effect. I also had a lot of duels with my brother who played rokkets and i had a rivalry with borreload dragon specifically, since that was the one card that could out my melodious locks. Nevertheless I still loved the card and im very happy that melodious got some much needed support recently.
Thirdly, and the most recent card, is the trap card "ancient warriors saga - chivalrous path". It has a lot of text, like a lot of ancient warrior cards do, but the only relevant one here is an effect that summons a token when your opponent specials a monster. You see, i had longed to have an irl yugioh deck, and my dad and brother who went overseas for a trip came back with an ice barrier structure deck and 2 random packs. I was somewhat disappointed by the choice of structure deck but nevertheless accepted it. I modified the structure deck and added what cards i had in bulk from when i was a child, in addition to this singular trap card from the 2 random packs i got. Since i had no better card to fill its slot. Then, i discovered that my country does have a locals, although a pretty far drive away so i cant regularly or easily go there. But the first time i went there, my first ever duel was against a full power sky striker deck. I dont remember much details about the duel but i remember drawing the chivalrous path. I was playing structure deck ice barrier so i was barely able to make plays and kept getting handtrapped, but that GOAT trap card, it saved me for 3 turns due to the token blocking the opponent's attacks every turn. I still ended up losing that duel and i never played the cars ever since but i will always remember how this random card from an unrelated archetype let me stay in the duel for so long due to having this random effect.

Only moment that comes to mind for me as a new player, was when last Friday I was dueling one of my friends, he was running Salamangreats, I was running Magikeys, & he fucking DESTROYED my board, my last hurrah was taking down his Accesscode Talker with Magikey Spirit's effect, my board was a single Gunkan Suship Shari summoned from an unexpected dai, & my hand was Magikey Maftea & Mechmortar - Gareglasser, as I drew that Maftea I thought I was boned, until I re-read it's effect, which allowed me to send a Normal Monster from Deck to GY & I popped off, sending Luster Dragon from my Deck & Suship Shari from my field, I dropped Gareglasser with it's once-per-turn negate & a boosted 4500 ATK stat, I ran over one of his Heatleos & a Salamangreat Rage, & that was game, I felt like the protaganist bro, Gareglasser & Maftea are my personal GOATS for their part in the sickest comeback in my very short career

Two cards i'll never forget truly showcase the range of how much a card can impact the player in different ways. Back in 2015 i was still just a little guy that played yugioh in a kind of edison format with my uncle. We both were never good at deck building or anything like that, but i still remember that when i first saw archlord Krystia, i just put it into my deck imediately. My uncle then got a fairy structure deck for me in christmas and i genuinely just summoned Krystia and looped it ten thousand times in the games and it's just stuck into my memory. Sometimes i still go back to play Edison exclusively to play Counter Fairy and bust out Krystia on the field. But another card that had a huge impact on me is Malevolent Sin. It was on the first pack i ever opened and was a starlight i believe? I don't have the copy with me rn so i can't check it but it was just so magical, and what's better is the card was actually kind of good at the time! Removal with a buff every turn was something i could only dream of in the meta at the time (in the format of school lunch table).

Kristya is a sick fairy monster - it feels rather rewarding to get it out the normal way and win games because of that. Naturally, the effect to recycle fairy monsters as you said also comes up in a fairy deck, and it's quite strong!
And Malevolent Sin? I don't have deep memories with it as you do, but I always love Rank 4's and I remember seeing Malevolent Sin in the Zexal manga. It's a really strong Rank 4 in the school meta as you said.
Thank you so much for watching and for sharing!

I'll always have a soft spot for chengying, even though I was on the losing end. I was played branded vs 8 axis, on like turn 14 (i had to stall for ages because of chaos angel being a huge asshole) my opponent used desires, got ashed, then used orochi to banish the final 8 cards from the top of his deck, normal summons ringowurm and makes like an 8K chengying before swinging into my 0 attack monsters.
I've also played a bunch of prog recently, and one card that comes to mind is jirai gumo. A 2200 beater that I was able to get above 5000 attack twice (i pulled megamorph) before jirai gumo got limited and megamorph banned. It was a blast

I was in elementary school when Yugioh first aired on American television, and the card game launched. The first awsome monster moment I had would probably be when Kaiba fusion summoned Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon for the first time, I was already obsessed with Blue Eyes, but that took it to another level. But the card that means the most to me, funny enough is probably the single worst ace monster ( mechanically speaking) that any yugioh main protagonist ever had. My boi Elemental Hero Neos, form the first time he was summoned to the last time Neos saved the world from the living embodiment of Darkness itself by becoming god, he's been my favorite card. I've spent the better part of 20 years at this point playing hero decks built around the coolest Guyver knock off ever put to cardboard and have never regretted it. Some stand out moments of my dueling career with Neos would be Otking full power thunder dragon with a Neos combo, causing a Kosmo player to rage quit after realizing Rainbow Neos easily outed their multiple dark destroyers and didn't give let them float, and of course my favorite being just the shear shock of any competitive deck hopper ( you know the players I'm talking about) when they expect to see a "good" hero deck, only to see me pay almost all my life points to get off an Air Neos with over 11000 attack and ending the game in 1 attack.

I went to a Legacy of Destruction premier last week. I don’t know who’s idea it was to play draft with that pack but he must’ve a real sadistic bastard since it boiled down to everyone in the room playing illusion stall.
I pulled one each of the tenpai dragons but without the synchros I didn’t have snowballs chance in hell of doing any lethal damage. Enter Aiza the Dragoness of Deranged Destruction who special summon places a counter on any card that detonates when she attacks and she’s a level 4 fire dragon which means I can summon her off kaimen and fadra.
Guess who’s never leaving my Tenpai Dragon deck?

I would like to shout out several cards.
●Silent Swordsman. The level 4 one. He was my first boss monster when I started playing Yugioh in Duel Links, which was my first ever TCG game. With him I was able to understand how the genre works, how Yugioh works, how deckbuilding works. Through all of this, Silent Swordsman was the one who lead the way, as the card I would try to build my deck around. If I ever decide to make a Yugioh Cube, I would definitely try my best to revive that deck.
●A recent one, but no less important. Probably my favorite Yugioh anime experience was watching Go Rush, Yudias vs. Yuna. This duel made me feel like a child feeling true hype watching an epic fight unfolding. The unexpected re-debut of my favorite monster, Sevens Road Magician, followed by as much unexpected debut of a new in Rush mechanic: Equip Spells, which they did an amazing job making them hype, I can never forget that moment and will always be a part of me that I seemingly have found after it beeing lost somewhen during my own school days

    • @pk_tuneworld
      @pk_tuneworld  2 місяці тому +1

The Silent cards were so damn strong in DL format where you weren’t getting blown out by board wipes and similar cards. Setting a cube might take some money. But, if you have enough yugioh-playing friends, I find it’s so nice to build the format to support decks that otherwise wouldn’t be great in modern.
Also, though I can’t comment on Go Rush cause I haven’t watched it yet, I imagine the fact the show is catered towards kids might allow more of those sick moments to come out. Gotta watch it sometime 🤔

Numeron Force is my all time favorite "playground card".
Let's me summon out a Utopia/Hope that can beat over any of my opponent's monsters and they can't do anything about it because Victory prevents spells/traps from activating and Numeron Force negates their monster effects.
Every time I play it I remember the first time Yuma and Astral used it against Vector in the Zexal Sub.

All the Rank-up cards are so neat in playground formats. They all had really unique effects. Numeron was cool as you said - it could almost be a pseudo DRNM and obviously let you get out the cool Utopia monsters. Though Barian force was neat since it could suck up XYZ materials, Admiration Force was a neat pseudo-Monster Reborn. I wish The Seventh was good, but at least it's accurate to the anime.

I just remembered one of my peak moments.
I was playing Ice Barrier in MD (Before the 2024 support), I got paired against a Rokket player I went second.
He set 2 cards face-down and a Rokket.
I made my combo ending with a Cryomancer I'm the GY and Revealer, G. Wayne and Defender in the Field I was trying to make the Level 11 Trishula; but I miscalculated so hard.
Defender is a Level 3 tuner, Revealer a Level 4 and Wayne a Level 5 (3+4+5=12) Fortunately I had Cryomancer (Level 2 Tuner) in GY with Freezing Chains of the Ice Barrier to Revive it and Summon Trishula Level 11 to Banish his field and ATK for a chunk I left Defender in Defense Position set a Forbidden Chalice and passed turn, he Normal Summoned Silverrokket which I misread and Worried of Level 9 Trishula' Banishment I Chaliced it, He combo'd until they made Borrelsword he when to Battle Phase, I expected death, but they weren't attacking, I read Defender (If you have another Ice Barrier on the field like Trishula Opponent's monster with ATK equal or Higher to it's DEF 1600 can't declare attacks), because of that he went MP 2 and passed turn where I combo'd into Level 9 Trishula to Banish Borrelsword and my opponent Surrendered.
In my Ice Barrier casual build I have him in the Main, but even when I go competitive I go with him (Mainly against any Tenpai).

Can't forget my goat Red-eyes Black Dragon.
Back when i started playing the game, (around 2018 with duel links cuz im broke) i didn't know anything past the GX era since my only contact with Yu-Gi-Oh at the time was the GX anime and a tiny bit of duel monsters. I considered building E-HERO since jaden was my absolute favorite character, but the deck was filled with ultra rares and i didn't wanna grind, and that's when i went to check the newly released structure deck at the time, Return of The Red-eyes.
It was a fusion deck so i knew how to play, i could make the fusions from the deck due to the spell, and then there was the Red-eyes Black Dragon himself, seeing that dragon be used for so many things on a single deck was just so crazy for 10 year old me, and it also helped that joey became my second favorite character in the series. I have so many memories of playing my poorly build red-eyes deck, that even after becoming an absolute Sincron fanboy, Red-eyes Black Dragon still holds a place in my heart.

never watched zexal. but i remember the excitement when i pulled 101, was a $60 dollar at the time of release in the TCG. But one of the cards that always stuck with me were Red-Eyes, that card was legendary back then, nobody at my school had one or even seen one irl. it was almost mythical. i remember seeing the 2002 tins at walmart and low and behold, there was the red-eyes black dragon tin. luckily for me, someone already took the wrapping off of a red-eyes, i opened it to see if it was actually real, i could not believe it, i was about to see a real copy of a red-eyes black dragon for the first time. and there he was in all of his secret rare glory, being the age of 11 and not having $20 to spare, i gave into temptation and snatched the card out of the tin for myself. i left the packs as it was the first time i had ever stolen anything. i threw in it with the rest of my deck that i had in my pocket and went home with my mom. i don't think i had ever been so excited to go to school on a monday morning, but it felt good to show off a card to all my friends, knowing i was the only one who had a red-eyes black dragon. i no longer have that card, or my childhood collection but i still have a couple tins from 2002 that i kept. i think i gave away 2 or 3 of them to friends when i got back into the game around 2009.

Phoenix mode Ra was one of the coolest monsters in that book. “Victim Sanctuary” Stardust dragon was appealing to me when I watched 5Ds. even if it didn’t have the 3k atk stat, its effect of card destruction protection plus scrap iron scarecrow to defend against battle damage always stuck out to me

For me it's Stardust Dragon. Back when I first play the game, I was the first one in my junior high school to understand how to synchro summon because I watched the 5ds. I taught the rest of the kids how to synchro and how to xyz.
I was in love with Stardust Dragon, and back then a friend of mine owned the card and he kindly just gave it to me.
And for a solid 4 years, no matter what deck I play, Stardust Dragon would always be in my extra deck.
During the arc-v era, another friend played the Frightfur archetype which has those fusion monsters that could destroy cards upon being summoned. Stardust Dragon was really useful against those frightfurs.
And lastly, I think I single-handedly cause my school to play more cards that banishes instead of destroy, because everyone knows I'm obsessed with Stardust Dragon 😂

Those games (Specially 2009-2011) where my jam and dark valkyria was one of the cards that i would either always have in my opening hand or will draw into(despite running only 1 copy) and it will forever stick with me due to how much nostalga i have for that time in my life . (Also her design is super sick)
The second is "superheavy samurai battleball". Back in middle school i was finally able to meet people who not only liked yugioh, but were actively willing to play with me. My best friend at the time for whatever reason always played this card even tho his deck only had like one or two extra samurai cards as just beat stick which made the card kinda pointless. Regardless he would always play it and by the end of the year he gave me the card on a whim. that friend left school shortly after the fact and i lost contact with him, but i still have that card and it again brings back so many memories
This video as absolutely great and reminded my why on love this game so much

Me and my friends started playing YGO in the Arc-V Era, but because we only got our cards from random bundles online, we used to be in a simplified state of game, and we didn't get any playable Extra Deck cards in that time. Ever since then, i didn't like using cards associated with the animes, i wanted to have my own cool cards so that i could have fun and intense moments, while being original to myself. That's when i got my homeboy.
    "Trance The Magic Swordsman".
He was a Lv6 vanilla more powerful than the ace monsters of the anime protags by 100 points, and for the longest time, that mattered a lot to me. I remember a situation where i had the Cost Down in my hand, staring at a Jinzo with 2 traps on the field and no monsters to beat over him, and the satisfaction of draw for turn and geting my main monster.
I don't play him anymore, we started buying Structure Decks and Vanilla Tributes got powercreept out of our circle of play, but i will never forget that card.

While I didn't start dueling until 2013, I did initially collect cards until 2010. Mainly starter and structure decks though, so naturally, underwhelming. Still, both Relinquished and Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu were staple favourites, to a point they were in the first archetype I played: Blackwings. Both favourites definitely have heavy influence from the anime, alongside the Pegasus starter deck and Jack Atlas tin respectively giving them as a guarantee. The ability to suck up an opponent's monster as an Equip was certainly terrifying, even if it only meant having battle protection. Plus, always a sucker for nuke effects and connections to a historical location. Vennominaga and Starving Venom Fusion Dragon definitely come close.
One friend I had at the time loved Stardust Dragon, even having Majestic Star Dragon. In all the duels we had featuring it, he never summoned the latter. However, when we swapped decks for a round, I managed to summon it, with the Stardust Xiaolong being the Level 1 non-Tuner needed. While I did lose that duel, I'll remember that experience and just how much of an anime moment it was to summon a monster with strict requirements. Not to mention the feeling of accomplishment pulling it off. I don't think said friend has summoned it to this day, at least since the last time I was in contact with him.
While Majestic Star Dragon isn't a favourite, that moment certainly made me remember the card better. There's a few other stories that made cards and/or archetypes stand out, but that's by far the most memorable to me.

My country is embargoed, so most things do not exist officially or legally here. When I was kid like around 10 12 one time my mother who passed away later (around 2 year) bought me a cd. She would buy me toys and cd cartoon. One time she bring home a cd cartoon that was called yugioh (I know yugioh is anime or animation, but it was long time ago and didn't know sht so just listen mate). Of course it was dubbed and I loved it from first episode (they dubbed 3 4 episode with every cd). I would love it and always wait for next one to come, but they never continued after kaiba duel with yugi and defeat him for duelist with pegasus and last scene was show kaiba from behind walking to the castle, and no matter who long I wait it never got next episode. I loved it so much that I watched that few episodes I had over and over. Once I decided to buy cardboard paper and cut it to the dimensions of the card and make a yugioh cards and I was already told about yugi cartoon things to my friends so when I make cards it's officially become a thing, we played with anime rules and had some funny rules as well, for example (all card was just monster at first but with just two numbers and no pictures bcuz my drawing was suck and still to this day is suck and one of my friends that later became one of my best friends could draw good so few cards had images, and believed it ur not it's been more than a decade it's about 1.5 decades actually and I still have this hand made cards😊) we had monsters with 5 and even 6 digits atk and def like 20000 atk 15000 def or we fusion monsters with stacking them up on each other and add they atk and def togther, example if stack a monster with 3000 atk and 2500 def (from start blue eyes was my favorite 😁) with that 20k atk and 15k def monster your new fusioned monster had 23k atk and 17.5k def and you could stack up or fusion monster together infinity. We had few spell or trap here and there but most of the cards was monster I even made a monster with low atk and infinite def and another one with low def and infinite atk so when I fusion them togther I had a monster with infinite atk and def. Oh did I said we hadn't life point when we played yugioh? If you ask do how someone win or lose its simply was we played until our decks was run out of cards and for sure we hadn't limited cards on each deck and when both deck run out who ever had stronger bored would win the game and as If I remember correctly every match take areond 40 45 min to 1 hour. Ahhh perfect good old days. As I remember I was undefeated as long as we played with hand making cards (did I said I was only childe and had a moral that I must always win in any game I played even if it mean middle of the game creat new rules and I used this in any other game I played but not yugi bcuz I bring yugi to my friends so I could just make anything rule no need to do it middle of game). A few years later when I was middle of middle school after my mom death my dad who going to get married again buy a surprise I never could guessd it it was a small metal package of yugioh cards I was so happy, even the cards was in English and I didn't understand anything but it was cool to have a real yugioh card with image, layers my dad told me that he found it on a website and I did go and search it and see that there is really a website who sell yugioh card buy that site had yugioh dubbed cards. I was so happy that I bought a deck/pack from that site andater met the person who sold this cards in person, I showed this new awesome cards to my friends, my friends asked me how and where did I get this awesome cards but I didn't told them (they found out later themself and when I asked how they told when I bring my cards one time so we play they saw the website address in bottom of cards, it was so small that I didn't seen it before). We played had fun upgrad our deck my bff was burn deck and I was in love with kaiba and his blue eyes so I try get blue eyes and dragon deck. Other ppl bought cards too so we played all together, ofc everyone will cheat and the only cheat was drawing more than 1 card in your draw phase or when shuffle your deck try to bring a good card in top (this would be use in middle of duel with effects that shuffle your deck). Need to be said a lots of cards that being dubbed was wrong because of bad translation but we didn't know nor care that time. I saw more episodes of yugioh dm later in English and at this point I could understand some stuff in english but not completely and I saw the next arc (forgot the name) and we gad God cards, omg God Cards🤩. Everyone bough God cards from that person and it wasn't translated so we decided to use anime effect, so you can see now that what a mess and FUN was it. In every duel everyone only could choose 1 God card and if I choose obelisk others couldn't and we played not only 1vq but 3 and even 4 player all at ame time all fighting eachother. Every single time anyone had 2 monster one field someone would say oh he gonna bring gods cards and every one try to not let him do it and the only way you could summon God cards was first say lie or second had good cards on field so could defend yourself from 2 3 ppl. One of my many good memories is one time I summoned obelisk in 1v1 duel on first turn (without any cheating) but I used all cards on my hand so my hands was empty after that (and we hadn't that many cards to choose and play from, just the cards that person/site would sell and he hadn't any new cards, only had dm area cards and another one is in 2v2 duel I summoned chaos max dragon on first turn (chaos max technically count as cm area bcuz it's ritual) and atk to my face down opponent monster it was giant germ and had 100 def so my friend had 200 LP left but suddenly I remembered that in this turn earlier I used a spell card that if u have dragon on field u can destroy a spell or trap and deal 500 dmg to your opponent and the card I destroyed was magic jammer and my friend didn't negate it, you know what's the point just discard one card it's not worth it (it was how my friend think) but I won the game, abd need to be said that in this last two duel I said I was high school. I had some Orginal yugioh cards (made by Konami) but most of them was back then everything was cheaper I had my favorite card blue eyes and some other support cards that was from movie pack 2016 like chaos max, deep eyes, alternative and etc... But I never had/have the og blue eyes art that I loved the most and idk with being kinda adult and With this terrible economy and everything being expensive, I can never buy one, let alone three😢. Sorry if my englis is bad, I know it already no need to say it but I just wanted to share my precious memories.

Awesome video! For me a card I just can’t forget is Gandora, I watched DSOD when I was a lot younger, and seeing Yugi summon Gandora X and nuke the field was the coolest thing ever. From that point forward I put Gandora X in all my pile decks I played at the lunch table, even though I could never summon him effectively. Later when I got to see the OG Gandora in DM I was even more hooked. (Love all the Number love too, those guys were awesome.)

Me and my brother found Yugioh through the original anime of n Netflix well into the Arc-V era. We had no idea how the actual rules worked, including what most of the card text and summoning mechanics were, so we just ignored it. I’ll never forget the moment when youger me used limiter removal on (a normal summoned) Gear Gigant X to bowl over the original blue Obelisk the Tormentor. While he’s splintered off to magic, and me towards Pokémon, I like to think that’s the moment that solidified me liking card games in the future.

OK, so just to keep it sort of short (for once 😂), some of mine are:
Enlightenment: He's the first Synchro I ever pulled and he's a badass ready to kick even dragon's asses. The time travel powers are great too.
Meteorburst: The first Synchro I Summoned. Never gonna forget my friend's reaction when he saw me use Crystron Rion and Performapal Skeeter Skimmer to bring out Meteorburst in the school library.
Odd-Eyes: This goddamn Dragon has saved my ass so many times even Kuriboh would be surprised.
My main 5 Magicians (Harmonizing, Purple Poison, Black Fang, Dragonpit and Dragonpulse): This lot's magic has been the reason I've hardly ever lost till turn 4 at least.
Chakram: This guy was the ace in my "1 pack every couple of weeks" deck, and now knowing about his return to summon effect to save shit is fucking great.
Pendulum Back: This is another one that made that same friend almost say "WTF?!" He was probably thinking it at the time, but didn't blurt it out cause we were at school😂.
Performapal Partnaga: So, there was this time on roblox where someone was being more of a prick than Weevil, and to shut his pathetic face up, I challenged him to a duel. Enlightenment and Durendal went down iirc, but it ended with him surrendering after Vortex stopped a Raigeki by shuffling Partnaga back into the deck, who had gone to the extra deck because of fusing with Mirage to make Vortex through Pendulum Fusion. The crowd went wild.

For me, I only got into Yugioh through Duel Links. At first I was a Speedroid maniac, but then there was a certain event character who seemed cooler than anything they had to offer. An event character who had high-leveled monsters, that could be normal summoned, and couldn't be destroyed by battle AND couldn't take battle damage?
Z-One was so cool to me, and the Timelords. Even though I know now that Timelords are... Not great as a deck, they're still special to me. Especially Michion. The goat.

And Yugioh is no Different, like I sometimes want to say out loud, thank you for your contribution when one of my monsters gets outted by my opponent (Destruction, Banish, Bounce, Spin, or Tributed), because I tend to feel sadness of them having to leave because I wasn't able to prevent it, maybe is deep trauma, or me being a lonely fellow, but I completely understand that feeling.

At one of my first local tournaments when I was 14 (2013-2014), I was playing against a meta deck. I bricked going first of course so they put me to 2000 LP. Endless Decay can be SS from hand when your LP is 2000 or less so I slapped two on the board, wiped his, then swung for game.

@@pk_tuneworld you know when people ask you if you have a favorite cards and your mind might go to Monster, Trap, and Magic (didn't have the Spell yet) well mine were "Dream Clown" Magical Hats" and "Share the Pain" so you can see why mine wouldn't be any good oddly enough the "Share the Pain" was my early Kaiju and yes it was before "Lava Golem" came out

Pretty recent moment I can recall is when I was going against my friend's cyberse deck. I was low on Life Points and I had no cards on the field or in my hand which could out any of his Link Monsters. So I drew a card and got a level three to go alongside another in my hand. I really thought it was over, there was nothing I could make, but then I thought for more than a second and I pendulum summoned the two monsters to XYZ summon Virtual World Dragon - Longlong. I attacked one of his monsters and entered main phase two, I went into Divine Arsenal AA Zeus, and my friend didn't know what it did and i read it to him. From what I remember I think tried to activate one of his monsters effects when they're destroyed, but Zeus only sends them to the GY from Field. So that quickly shut him down, and I swung for game.
Ever since then my friend always complains to me about Zeus whenever I mention I won against him. So I hold Zeus pretty close to my heart now. Not to mention I pulled him from a Phantom Rage pack and didn't even know he was that good.
