    LOve your dedication to your channel, out in those freezing conditions. Gives your testing a much wider range of results in different weather. More "real world" results.

    Thanks for sharing SIR . Very interesting you would think that the heaver the slug the better the group. Take care have a great weekend ✌🏼🤩

      And a great weekend back to you 🙂
      When I compare the 20 gr as close to the heaviest slug in 177 to the heaviest slug in other calibers - like the 40 gr in 22, those are alsi not the most accurate weight. In 22 around 30-32 gr seems to be the most accurate. So compared to 177 it makes sense to me that the 16 gr perform so well 🤓

    12 deg C drop in temperature between my 2 last sessions, made groups go from excellent to " okay i am on a winter break "

    I think the problem is the slow twist rate of the barrell. If you had a faster twist rate I bet the 20gr would group well.

      I only have experience with the 1:18 but I am pretty sure that you are right. This also explains why the 20 gr perform better in the longer barrel.

    Oh and one more thing I can’t believe how consistent the regulator is on this rifle I had a sting of 9 shots all 923 fps in a row that’s insane! I couldn’t believe it listening to the fx pocket crono every time I took a shot 🗣️923 fps 62.8 ft pounds🔈 haha

      That is impressive 😎 But it feels great!
      What is your reg at?
      Do you use the pellet probe or the pin probe?

      @@VikingAirgunnerreg is 110 and it’s the stock probe it looks like a pellet probe to me which is strange because it’s sold as a slug gun

      @@recklessjunkie So you are also using the lower reg settings. And with your spread in mind it seems to be the way to go 😎
      I have been wondering about the pre installed probe in these guns. And like you wondered what a pellet probe is doing in a designated slug gun.
      Needly hidden away here in our conversation I will reveal that my next video will be about the difference between the pellet probe and the pin probe in the Panthera 😜
      With your perfect spread it might not be nessecary, but to me it has improved the gun alot - cant give you all the details 😃 But 177 shooters will want this pin probe from Huma 😎😜

      Yes I know everyone is cranking their regs up haha so yeah I’m running super low reg and it seems to work good. Ohh yay!!!! ❤❤❤ I’m excited to see it

    What is your opinion on the new FX DRS Pro ? I think it looks very good 😍

      @VikingAirgunner  7 місяців тому +2

      It looks super cool 😎 Having only so little info about it, I dont really have an opinion about it yet. But as I understand it will be possible to switch plenum sizes relatively easy, which makes sense 🤓👍
      Am I getting it? Right now I have enough guns - but I will probably end up getting it anyway 😂
      Are you tempted?

      I think the DRS PRO will be too expensive, actually i think it might become the most expensive FX airguns rifle.
      The Classic however if they can keep the price on it reasonable it seem very interesting.
      Dont get me wrong i like the DRS PRO,,,,, very much, but i have finally learned to disconnect my heart and my wallet, only took me a life time to do that.

    Your still running the 16’s at ~960? Im pushing them at around 985 atm but im wondering if it’s alil to fast. Or even to slow?! Nah..Groups at 50m are around 1.5cm on a good day, so pretty much sub moa 😮..but i know it can do better with the right tune. Currently at 110bar qts2.2 with the 700 liner

      In the Panthera Im only using 13 gr or 16.2 gr Beast.
      In the M3 I just tested the other day. 16 gr Zan at 960 - 1000 fps. I will do a video about this in a very near future. Best velocity was at 975 fps, but I will go deeper into the explanaition in the video 👍👍

    I just picked up the bag rider for mine as well it’s so tough trying to keep poa consistently without something like a bag rider for this rifle. Are you noticing that it’s a much more hold sensitive rifle? I feel like if I hold it with the same amount of tension so like the same cheek pressure and the same grip strength it produces a poi that is somewhat repeatable but as soon as I add a little bit more grip to the hand grip and I loosen my cheek pressure the groups fall apart I hope I’m explaining this phenomenon right. I also picked up a Donny fl yokozuna and it hates it but as soon as I take the Yokozuna off it stacks groups which really bothers me because it’s loud as hell without a moderator haha and it shoots much better groups with the fx Donny moderator I got with my impact m3 and I’m sure you know it’s the yokozuna, is a modular moderator and you’re supposed to try it in different lengths and with different baffle combinations but I did and still can’t find the right combination 😢 yeah I love this rifle but I’m struggling to find a repeatable hold for it because it’s so different from the impact with that straight back recoil kick it has mines also a USA model in .25 shooting .33 gr zans…

    • @VikingAirgunner
      @VikingAirgunner  7 місяців тому +1

      The bag rider is an absolute must have. The whole experience of shooting the gun has also changed for me after installing it 🙂
      I understand your explanaition and it makes sense. I havent figured out what cases the poi shift yet. Maybe I should focus on the grip/cheek rest 👍
      I really like the gun - actually more and more, but finding the right tune is still a challenge. 2 cm group at 100 m is very respectable, but getting the whole thing more consistant would be nice. In particular the slow and low in the first shots! Fixed it in the Impact using the front valve, but still not in the Panthera.
      Too bad with the Yokuzuna... I have the Huma Mod 40 3, and having the same modular build I have found a good setup. 3 1/2 chambers 😃
      Did also try shooting without it... You know the story 😂
