I attended Maple Road school, right beside the embankment north of Upper Warlingham Station, during the early 1960's. During the time I attended the school, steam was gradually replaced by these DMU's. and we thought that these were "new fangled crap"! Now, like you, one yearns to ride on them again!!!!
