What I love about KEXP performances is that there are like 20,000 cameramen in there and you hardly even bump into them in the frames. Not to mention that brilliant performance by Pond!
baby Pond ! "Beard, Wives, Denim" was my introduction to these lovely fellas, and they evolved so much since that time, now breaking into some dance-psych-world .. astonishing band
I thought in the music videos Nick was playing it up for how eccentric he is, but honestly after seeing him live he's WAY more wild and energetic than what I initially thought. Love Pond, I can't wait for their new album Stung!
Holy shit the Spinning Top Family is so cool, everyone plays different instruments and in bands too. Pond is just a ego-free band which makes it even cool about this group....... I want to be like them :]
I saw Pond live in 2022 and I knew they were going to go crazy with Giant Tortoise, but I wasn't expecting the outro that they did! Now that I've heard it, the outro was the chorus during Eye pattern blindness. They blend together REALLY well!
hahah i met these guys at the big day out in perth( 2012), sat with them for like 4hours eat and talking, mostly smoking. Was just me my friends and them, they must have liked us coz they invited us in back stage :D amazing band !
I have the album downloaded and still go through the process of searching for this version. Anyway, never made the Zeppelin Connection before, but now it's crystal clear.
Sounds like the have a bit of chorus and also a very subtle flange effect on the verses, there's also some tremolo at certain points, and then a bunch of distortion on the chorus. That was probably no help to you, but hopefully it's a start.
The psychedelic rock scene began during the late 1960's simultaneously in America and England, but gained traction in America. just how The Blues, rock and roll, and rap are American born genres of music. To be American is to become popular by America, America is a melting pot of numerous cultures and ideas. To be technical, you could say that someone's great uncle Italian immigrant started the tradition of fireworks on the fourth of july.
+Semisynthetic Psychedelic the distortion was probably a pedal, though knowing pond and their fondness of playing loud it could be the amps gain all the way up. and im assuming the tremelo came from a fender deluxe verb amps vibrato setting. i could be wrong though
I've officially seen Jay shred guitar, bass, drums, and keys

How much I love this session..
Holy shit! Pond are a seriously underrated band.
This is how I like my POND. Could not love this more. By far my favourite band (along with Pink Floyd). Best live band I've ever seen.
I thought in the music videos Nick was playing it up for how eccentric he is, but honestly after seeing him live he's WAY more wild and energetic than what I initially thought.
Love Pond, I can't wait for their new album Stung!
Amazing group of musicians.
I Really Love this Performance, they're so unique!!
Nothing beats old pond
Holy shit the Spinning Top Family is so cool, everyone plays different instruments and in bands too. Pond is just a ego-free band which makes it even cool about this group....... I want to be like them :]

'I think people just like everything generally, more, in America. Life is a more peachy kind of experience' Nick Allbrook is amazing.
it seems the guys from tame impala can play everything.
i see one guy go from drums to keyboard to guitar

Pond is literally a rockier tame impala with shuffled band members XD

Yeah. Totally agree with you. There's tonnes of good shit at the moment. And has been for the past 10+ years. I think someone is telling porky pies.
This looked like a wonderful time
Eye Pattern Blindness
damn eye pattern blindness sent shivers down my spine like, 5 times.
hahah i met these guys at the big day out in perth( 2012), sat with them for like 4hours eat and talking, mostly smoking. Was just me my friends and them, they must have liked us coz they invited us in back stage :D amazing band !

I have the album downloaded and still go through the process of searching for this version. Anyway, never made the Zeppelin Connection before, but now it's crystal clear.
Amazing!!
Es verdad Cristian, no se puede dejar de ver, son excelentes.
Eye pattern blindness fuckin rocks!!!
Eye Pattern Blindness -- seriously fuckin good! Just listened 5x -- sooo good, it gets me every time.
Wow, only listened to a few of their songs from the studio before but this is awesome. Digging the Hendrix vibe.
Actually the vibes in this case are Bowie/Mott the Hoople as in "All The Young Dudes" and Pond pulls it off nicely!
Two words: RAW EPICNESS
That flute playing in that song you broke my cool reminds me a lot of the Flute solos in The Jimi Hendrix Experience's If 6 Was 9.
*.* this is happiness ...
omg, so good
Sweet Jesus. Every time I watch this, I'm fucking mesmerized...unreal. I love it so much. Unreal!!! Keep rocking, Pond. You guys are amazing
Fantastique band !

You should get an award for best UA-cam name and display picture. Hahah that's some funny shit - Tim and Eric.
excelente banda
I hope the blow-up. Not literally.
That guitar on the opening part/bridges of You Broke My Cool is unbelievably awesome. Fucking uguguergergie
i think you nailed it
Check out the (explosive?) flute at 7:36.
They are unreal live, it just doesn't compare to this.
Thank you @BitterrootRambler . Also can anybody tell me how to do that stuttering sound with the guitar at 1:32 ??
why isn't this music on spotify >:(
Hahaha GET TO THE TOP
so sick.
yes
Holy Shit!!!!
Pond in a Park, it hasn't been released on any record yet.
The peeps in the Tame Impala Live Band/Pond inspire me to learn multiple instruments.
they sound like a cool mix of early prog rock, late 60's psychedelic/acid rock, and like pink floyd-esque space rock. pretty dope.
Anyone know the guitar effect on the guitar solo in pond in a park?
Muito bom!!!
7:55 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I JUST LOVE THAT GUY
Sounds like the have a bit of chorus and also a very subtle flange effect on the verses, there's also some tremolo at certain points, and then a bunch of distortion on the chorus. That was probably no help to you, but hopefully it's a start.
Yeahhhhhhhhhh

You broke my cool has such cool "T.Rex" vibes. Soooo good x) Pond is like tame impala's crazy little brother. haha
My babes
Pond should try the southamerica crowd. We need to see them live in here.
So bad ass
This is so fuckin righteous !!
Opening flute rmo Dungen (highly recommended)
Hardcore Bowie influence on the lead vocalist
How I get that guitar sound @ 2:54? Tremolo and distortion?
+Semisynthetic Psychedelic the distortion was probably a pedal, though knowing pond and their fondness of playing loud it could be the amps gain all the way up. and im assuming the tremelo came from a fender deluxe verb amps vibrato setting. i could be wrong though
Thank you
