5.11 rush 12 overview after a few years

- i have had this 5.11 rush 12 in double tap for about 5 years and it is still as good as the day i got it.
i totally get why some people do not like 5.11 but out of all the items i have and had over the years to me they are spot on for my use. and well worth every penny.

My wife has the 511 rush 12/ 2.0 for her GHB and I got the original 511 Rush 24 (double tap color) I use for my Work / EDC / GHB bag. My son has the 2.0 Rush 24 bag.
I love all the Organizational options.
I was concerned about the absent Hip belt..but so far it's working out pretty good.....
4:09 ... I noticed the elasticity in the Admin inner pouches, does stretch out after some good use, but their is no tears.
It isn't a full water resistant bag, as advertised....it has soaked up water, and got my inner items wet. To remedy this situation , I use an inner plastic bag lining during work hours, and outer bag cover for week hiking.
Zippers still work great, and with all the weight I've lugged about ..the shoulder straps haven't frayed , nor have the seams ripped.
A good build of a bag indeed. Very pleased with its workings.
I use Condor Combat Belt with my 5.11 Rush 24 and a Longer version of the 5.11 belt fits through the plastic bits at the bottom either side of the bottom of the bag and then feeding the belt through the Condor works perfect and looks like the Rush 12 has the same plastic bits, something to consider. Makes a big difference having the hip support the combat belt provides. Plus there is more Molle on it to attach things you need quick access too also.

That bag looks pretty good, ideal for a 24hr trip out, of as a get home bag. Great to see you with the FT4 on the bag too. That fleece...what make is it?
it would make a great get home bag for its size as thats what i use it for as well as my edc work bag.
the ft4 was working great but i forgot to show off the new antenna lol
i picked up the fleece about 10 year ago from an army surplus. British Dark Green Fleece Jacket / thermal liner- Elasticated cuffs..... i think its called. really warm and great under a softy jacket.
you can get them for about a tenna :D

well worth a look at the 5.11 rush bags. they will last a lifetime for sure.
but you can pick up a second hand bergen for a lot less lol
