Thanks a lot for this video!! My native language (Russian) doesn't have any articles at all so the whole concept is kinda hard for me... and Italian articles just blow my mind a little bit 😂 But your explanation really helps! (I could feel these rules must have something to do with musicality, haha, such a beautiful language.)

As an Italian I can tell you that Russians and in general slavic languages speakers skip the articles when they speak Italian. They simply pretend that articles don't exist.
      We understand them anyway. LOL

The "lo" article makes me think of Spanish, where some nouns have had "e" added to the front to avoid strings of consonants and to make pronunciation easier (ex. el/la estudiante, la esperanza, la espuma)

I learned the "gl" sound (as I learned it, a "soft l" sound), by saying the phrase "shall ye". The mouth shape as you transition from the end of the first word to the second is a lot like your "smile and press the fat tongue to the hard palate" suggestion.

Juat curious about that need for vowel thing. It is said thay Italian does not like consonant clusters. Why then does it have several s+consonant/s words in its vocabulary arsenal? Why not precede it with 'e' as in Spanish? Ex. stazione/estacion, spazio/espacio, spaghetti/espagueti. There are even words that look rather Slavic than Latin-based upon first glance like sveglia, sfoderare and sdraio to name a few.
Anyway, I learned a lot from Easy Italian. Grazie mille a contento utile.

Una cosa che ho imparato a orecchio ma non ho trovato in nessun libro. I gruppi SC, GL, GN, in italiano, hanno il suono lungo, come le doppie consonanti LL NN BB ecc. Sbaglio?

Questo si applica a una maggioranza dei verbi che terminano con -ire. Si chiamano “verbi incoativi.”
Se vedi un verbo “-ire” che non conosci, supponi solo che sarà incoativo.
      finire: finisco, finisci, finisce, etc.

Wow articles seems more complicated in Italian than German. Didn’t expect that. Thank god Indian languages don’t have articles to learn! 😬

Eusebio Albertieri Actually from a south Indian perspective German is easy in certain aspects such as accusative and dative sentences which is exactly the same in many Indian languages, Tamil my mother tongue has similar verb conjugations like german but more complicated, Tamil words are pronounced just the way it’s written, written Tamil is a lot different from spoken Tamil. The only thing we find it difficult is the articles and assigning of genders on every object! Assigning of genders on objects and sometimes verbs is unique to North Indian languages but not in Tamil or other South Indian languages. We really find it hard to understand why we need to assign genders for objects. But that’s a whole another debate.
