Who else loves the soothing sounds of a train in motion? This week's story was the most requested over the holiday season. I have been asked to write about it for some time. I understand mentioning this landscape may not be appealing to everyone given recent events, but in every place in the world there may be evidence of the worst of humanity. But in this sanctuary, I do believe we are empowered to imagine better and that believing in the possibility for peace, for harmony, and for change, begins with hope. If you know someone who needs help falling asleep, send them my way. Also know that every comment and like helps to get this channel recommended to others! Indeed, Michelle, the worst of humanity can be in our own backyard. More mass shootings than days of the year. Not to dampen spirits, but it's one of those harsh realities. And your sleep stories are the perfect anecdote that takes us all away from that❤
Okay Michelle, it's time to do your magic! I love train stories and Im extra anxious tonight as I'm having cancer surgery in the morning. Whisk me away to another place! (If only my daughter wasn't watching My Little Pony in the same room 🤷)
Wishing you the best of luck and I hope you are able to get some sleep tonight. I hope it all goes well (and that you don’t end up with the “True True Friend” song stuck in your head. My niece loves My Little Pony and that song really has lasting power). Healing thoughts and I’ll be here with more stories on the way as you recover.
Yessss I can't wait for this one! There is something so hypnotically relaxing about the rhythm of the tracks isn't there? Then add in your own sleeper cart and it's true bliss. 🥰❤️ Thank you, I can't wait to listen. 🙏❤️🙏
It always calms me so much to hear the sounds and see the ever-changing beauty outside a train window. I'm so fortunate to travel by train often and I've been wanting to write about this railway for some time.
I’ve never seen the entire movie but recall seeing bits of it as a kid when it would come on TV and thought it looked so beautiful ‘there’ - I had no idea then of the vast Siberian tundra/plains. For a kid in the south who loved horses and longed for snow it was like a dream. No pun intended. Or looking into a snow globe. Yes, that was intentional! 😉 But I don’t recall Lara’s Theme being sung, just the instrumental version. I wonder if the vocals came later. Loved the story btw, but I’ll add that separately.
I loved this! Fell asleep pretty early in, woke up and when I listened again later it was cued up to where I had left off- amazed how little I remembered of it. Heard must of it the second time. Not sure about the third (See? I really DO love it!) and later I’m going for my rainy walk and train journey! Toot, toooot!
It is truly a lovely journey! I love how you specified that we can travel to a peaceful time to enjoy the craftsmanship and grandeur of the Russian railway as we glide though the beauty of the winter landscape. Thank you!
Amalia here on Dad's phone. This sounds exquisite. I'm so looking forward to the journey! Already I can see the black sky with the dancing lights in it and feel the repetitive rocking of the train in my mind's eye. Looking forward to Sunday night! Thank you Michelle! 💙
Another great story that I missed the ending of! But I do remember you talking about a peaceful Russia. If only the right people there could hear this! Thank you for putting this beautiful piece together 🙏
I know and hold the space to hope that globally the constant quest for dominance could be replaced with harmony. There is no acceptable reason for any of it when the world is so abundant.
Wow i really enjoy listening to the storys since my wife disappeared 2 years ago I like to clear my head of all the worries and drama life has listening to these stories helps me relax thanks there awesome
Thank you, Glenn. I am so sorry that you have gone through so much and you deserve to find as much peace and beauty as you can. I hope you continue to find respite in this sanctuary. And if there is ever something specific you would like me to write about, let me know.
That was so relaxing. I loved the Northern Lights part best. I’ve always wanted to see them in real life. It’s on my bucket list. You did an excellent job painting the sky with swirls of awesomeness 🤯👍💜! Well done Michelle!! And Thank You!!
I have always wanted to see them and it was always cloudy when I had a chance. I thought nothing could be better than experiencing them while in a warm sleeper car traveling through a winter wonderland. Sweet dreams!
Hahaha! I don’t know if you ever remember being a kid and this happening but I do. I tried to make it easier being a sunset dinner but sometimes these train rides are just too relaxing.
@@MichellesSanctuary I believe it's the multiple inhale - yawn - sigh exercises that did it for me. It's been one of the most relaxing meditations so thanks for that, Michelle ❤️
@@tamara7918 I'm so glad that helped! Years ago I know some people felt the breathing exercises can be stressful and I realized that yawning is the opposite of stress!
@@MichellesSanctuary ok, 1 last update... Didn't even make it to dinner the 2nd time around. Looks like your breathing guidance is already enough, even after a very stressy day 🙏🏼 (used to skip it, won't anymore)
A+ I love it!! A little constructive comment. Your voice sounds totally different in this one. I liked the other way better. It is more adult and mature. Either way, I'm with you for the long haul.
My very favourite story is with the white fluffy cat called Basil 🌿 May I request a story from a cats 🐈⬛ 🐈 or dogs 🐕 🐩point of view? Or any wee animal story 😊 Pine Martins are my fav tho. Maybe Pixie 🧚♀️? Or the wee cute faeries in Spiderwick Chronicles? Sending happy thoughts your way 💭💙
Hope I get new air buds in time to hear this. Fell asleep listening to your stuff on auto play and awoke during first witches cabin while getting my third eye massaged with my head phones torn up. Damn witches they’re just too frisky. Last night went through with drawls expect tonight to be as such. Hopefully ear buds come tomorrow.
Oh wow-- that is quite an experience. I wonder what witch should be held responsible. Hope those earbuds have arrived. I was hurting my ears using them and ultimately started using a headband device when not listening aloud to meditations.
@@MichellesSanctuary From what my dream state remembers is your voice saying the eldest which I thought odd since you named them. There was this whole sensorial stuff going on. I think the responsibility is clearly my own perverse subconscious. Some of the early morning dreams I have are truly out of some bizarre dimension. I thought of getting wireless phones but you like to talk for more then 4 hours or rather I listen sometimes all night. If I could sleep using nice stereo phones it would be great but the buds are ok except when they fall out or I roll over and practically strangle myself. I had two nights of withdrawals but tonight I have new phones so I can feed my addiction and tomorrow go on a train ride. Hope I can sleep with all this excitement.
The descriptives of this story are luxurious and beautiful and the food is indeed hearty. But nose whistles? I’ll admit to occasionally having this and since I have a ponderous Proboscus it has sometimes whistled Dock of the bay” by Ottis Reading circa 1968 it’s not something I would share unless your nose can accompany it with perfect harmony. Ribbon candy- I loved that stuff my Grandmother used to give me that I think it had the flavor of cloves. It does look like those Russian peaks on that building. Very nice story thank you
@@larrymarcus3176 hahaha--enjoy those nose whistles! My yoga teacher often had us go through them, long before the world changed. She had us mimic Darth Vader at times. Glad you enjoyed this one. Be still my heart! Two favorites, a train and winter/snow. I think I hear Lara’s Theme playing!
I used to listen to that on vinyl with one of my favourite collections of best soundtracks. Hope you enjoy this one!
