Laura Misch This technology also started in countries like Saudi Arabia. When I was going with my family to Medina for pilgrimage, we got picked up by a local taxi driver fluent only in Arabic. But because we are non-Arabs, so he also used this technology as an advantage to communicate with non-Arabs. So thanks a lot for this technology even though it is not 💯 accurate.

Of course, you bring brightness to so many of our days, those of us who love to travel but cannot make it a full-time deal. We always want you both to be safe and happy with the proviso that risk is always an unavoidable part of it. Dealing with cars, especially in SE Asia is more dangerous than people think and the laws on what to do in an accident are very different than we're accustomed to in the US (some for the good, some for the bad).

guys, I'll give you this advice: ALWAYS get a medical check-up after a car accident. Even if you feel fine. My sister was once in a car accident, didnt go to the hospital because she felt fine, but a few days later her neck started hurting!! .... it's awlays better to go, because if you have insurance, you have the proof you went for a checkup and that the damage was from the accident!!

Look where technology has brought us now. People who don't know each other and don't speak the same tongue, communicating with each other and, although with a monotonous voice, sharing emotions here. I guess when someone asks what good does technology do, you can show them this. The real world example where emotions and feelings were communicated.

It was so touching as well as interesting to watch this vlog. As a Vietnamese, first of all, thank you so much for visiting/loving and telling the truth about our country. ❤👍Then, it was so truly proud of our honest people who had involved in the unexpected accident but still remain our hospitality to the international travelers.💪 I think both of u deserved the good (even in the bad incident) cause that you have the trust on the people. Sometimes we couldnt be sure about everyones around the world but if we have faith, we could get the good outcomes. Thanks again and wish you best luck, hope to see you again in Vietnam many more and finally, u just earned one more sub from me! 🧑😍

The main thing is that you are both ok and that the other drivers are ok and nobody was killed. The bonus is that all your stuff also survived the crash and that you both dealt with a very difficult situation very well. Also a lot must be said for the driver of your Taxi and his friend for being so caring and helpful to you both. Keep enjoying your travels and making your wonderful video's you both bring a lot of pleasure and escape to so many people, thank you.

The presence of mind on this Vietnamese driver's part, setting aside (maybe) his own property to ensure that you and your luggage get back on the road again, deserves great appreciation. Goodness cares less for oneself and more for the other. 👍👏
Thanks to you Kara and Nate for highlighting all these emotions while having to go through this shock yourself. 😊

True 👍 , they did say at the end that the seatbelt wasn’t working. And in many countries I don’t think they’re that strict or cared that much to make sure you have a seatbelt. Only so much you can do , specially when there’s a language barrier

I was in an accident in Poland when me and my wife were in a taxi and smashed into a Barrier wall on the bridge and almost slid off a huge drop. Thank goodness there was only a confusion and whiplash for me and neck pain for my wife and sane for the driver as me. Poor man had is brand new Mercedes totaled. Hey, luggage and cars can be replaced, humans on the other hand cannot

I am really glad you guys made this video because I in a moth it will be a year since I got in a car accident while traveling, Our car rolled over in the middle of nowhere 3 hours from any town and I have only talked to the people in our accident about how they felt and I have tried to find other stories and I was relived when you turned on the camera straight after and said everything you'll were feeling in that second. It definitely helped with some of my trauma. So thank you!
