When I found this procedure I tried it against a random engine shutdown so it is possible it doesn’t work with birdstrike put it could work aslong as there is minimal damage
yea minimal damaged or more common after a engine flame out.

If there was a bird strike you really wouldn't want to try and start your engine.
Unless you were flying over Viernam far from friendly airspace without the possibility of a jolly green picking you up and you had the choice between that and "hide the sharpened bamboo stick" with the VC. Then you would probably risk it.

mission inspiration
What about intercepting Russian cruise missile barrage and emergency evacuation of a base
with as many Globe Masters taking off every 2 minutes, because of an impending cruse missile barrage from Russia?
This is ment for real US mil personell to conclude possible real life situation
in regard to a possible hot war with East Alliance to exercise and encounter ideas
what to do better just in case!
No offense ment to US mil!
It is ment as a form of what if to exercise the process
of fast departures with all Globe Masters at once so to say.
The test should include stuck aircrafts on taxiways du to early impacts or sabotage people who ran through the fence
onto the airfield and how to manage around! Meaning shootings and Airbase vehicles engaging insurgents or so running on base!
Too that Grim Reapers engaging incoming cruise missile barrage from various multiple directions from North East.
MISSION SEQUENCE
1. Early warning systems alert base command.
2. Grim reapers doing emergency take offs to fly towards
cruise missile group of about 38, wich then spread around incoming from the sides.
3. While thees are beeing engaged, base is on full allert evacuating personell
into Globe masters performing an evacuation alert start with about takeoffs every 2 minutes.
DETAILS
Lots of people running on the airfield parking areas, USAF personell guiding and advising people
on the right tracks intonthe crafts.
Base has lots of airdefenses.
Personal gaming opinion
I think this mission could be exiting as a multiplayer session
with lots of action, risks, fun to engane stuff and what to do if airbase is still full with Globemasters.
Perhaps then assisting as secondary mission the airbase from incoming hostile ground forces...
The type of scenario is based on recent Presidents Putin declaration to use cruise missile types.
In the pasr they used cruise missiles to engage targets in Syria and used zig zag tracks with huge right or left flank tracks.
In a war probably many with tactical nuclear warheads.
There fore a fast scramble is important to engage as far as possible!
Perhaps US Intel was able to detect lounch sites, like from Russian bomber aircrafts, RUS Navy ships from Black Sea or ground vehicles.
