Wow this sucked. A lot of fuel. Out of that tanker. Great vid as always, Sport. IRL drogue and basket connections should happen at about 3 to 5 knots to make sure they lock in well, fortunately DCS doesn't care about that too much.
By far the most difficult task on DCS is aerial refueling the Scooter. Especially with that straight probe. I wish they would have created the offset probe found on later models. Thankful for the A4! Best plane on the simulator and it was free of charge. Thanks A4 Community! Alpha Four's Forever!
I would love more tutorials on the A-4. It's the first aircraft I have (just starting DCS) and I'd love to keep using this for a while. It's hard to find good tutorials like these online.
I got somethin' to say, I filled the Skyhawk today And it doesn't matter much to me as long as it's bred Love your vis Sport. The A-4 is twitchy with my setup, so it took a while to get connected, but I couldn't figure out how to will the externals correctly. Now I do! Cheers!
I am quite certain you can get an STD by plugging too many baskets. Giggity! Great video as usual Sport. Keep waving that A-4 banner. It's a great mod.
Great video man, the only suggestion I can make would be to include the control indicator menu (r-ctrl+enter) so we can see how small your inputs are. I love flying this module but I'm still learning all it's systems idiosyncrasy's so you have my sub and I look forward to your future videos.
Good video. Couple suggestions. Form: Don't form up above and behind a/c-can't see you. Applies to all a/c. Could turn into you. Safety. Tanking: Try to refrain from flying the basket-fly the tanker and use your peripheral vision. Applies to all a/c. Stroke that throttle...
Totally agree. A few bad habits, however I wanted to try and pick some very distinct reference points for the viewer. I should do a proper formation video one of these days…
Awesome videos, they remind me of the Navy training videos I had to watch when I was in the service. Thank you for the great content, all the time to produce these videos and the professional quality. Producing a video of this quality is not easy, not to mention the exceptional flying. Please keep them coming.
Brilliant videos mate. I have a mission set in our squadron coming up in A-4s. After watching your videos I feel comfortable getting in and giving it a crack. Your videos are superbly edited. You must be a trainer/educator in real life. Your analogies like putting your foot on the back of a shopping trolley wheel to taxi are well thought and visual for different types of learners. Well done. Definitely subscribed. Hopefully you will choose another aircraft in the future to go through for the audience. I think the F16 is lacking in a comprehensive training package :) Thankyou for all the time put into these.
Your videos are top-notch, and I'm waiting patiently for the next A-4 video, as I use them religiously to learn this amazing free module. Please can I request an A/G munitions video include the Shrikes as well?
Much appreciated! There’s so much time and effort that go into these, I often find it hard to find the time/motivation to knock them out. I’ll give it my best shot to do one this month!
Thanks for the Video but you need to include some important information in your video that makes a huge difference to your viewers. 1. Speed and ALT of the the tanker is imperative to viewers wanting to practice this at home with no set up experience. 2. What are your control curve's?
Hey, I'm having problems with raising as I don't have track IR. What the problem is basically that view up and view down basically just adjust the angle of the camera, not move it.
The truth is that it looks like an armed video. How do you keep the plane at that speed and not move too fast? I tried it many times and was able to dock for more than 3 seconds. It seems to me that they made the maneuver complicated by vice. good video greetings
"...just go out and stick your probe into as many baskets as you can."

No truer words have ever been spoken.
Thank goodness tankers don’t get jealous…

banging sound track
Gotta get that synthwave vibe
Excellent work on the tanker! As a friend of mine always says, "Aerial refueling never gets any easier, you just get used to it"

Great video on the A-4. Good info & 80's music. Keep up the high-quality content!
Absolutely great vid! You deserve more subs man
Much appreciated! Share the videos on your favorite discords and with your friends!

I’m quite interested in how this process brings about getting an F-15S/mTD. Please, illustrate.

Oh boi. There was some nice slapstick included. Very enjoyable.

Thank you for the high quality content, and the equally high quality innuendo :)
Had to watch this one at work, otherwise could have gotten in trouble with my missus.
This fresh a4 series is exactly what i needed. thank you so much.
Thank you so much for these tutorials serie ! It helps me a lot getting in touch with the A4 and DCS in general ^^
Great content !!

Amazing project! Good job !

Best videos on the internet.
This is literally the funniest shit i;ve seen in a while hahhaha
I was NOT Prepared 4 that LMAO
GREAT TUTORIAL BTW!
awesome, thanks
Great vid!

Why does the FUEL TRANSFER light iluminate at idle? Does this have something to do with bleed air pressurisation?
At low engine power settings, the fuel flow rate from the main tank to the hopper, drops and triggers the light. It’s a completely normal condition.
Where did you get that sick livery?
Damn, you made that look easy. What are those probe and hose view keys?
is there a controls vid anywhere?

If you go under “cockpit views” there should be keybind a for “move camera up/down”. Hit me up on the A-4 discord if you continue to have problems!
@@SportDCS Found it, thank you very much!
There is also a seat raise and lower switch on the right side. Not tried it myself yet, though.

Yes, I know... How to tell someone you're an A-10 pilot without saying it. 🤣
That was laid just a bit too thick with the innuendos for my taste. Just a bit of feedback. Great series on A4 though.
