I hope you enjoy my reaction to Tool - "The Pot"! Please feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think. Add me on IG @KathrynLayneReacts Thank you so much!
You have summoned the Tool Army. Welcome to their world. They are so good. Great musicians who write the most introspective, darkly witty, intricate, hypnotic and powerful music. You're on the edge of the rabbit hole, dive in, you're gonna love it.
@@scottspears9347 I paused after watching the first 30-seconds of Kathryn's reaction to write this. If she isn't part of Tool's Army by the end of the song, she will be soon. haha. (Post Song Comment). She felt the song in her legs. I'm no expert but I'd say that makes it official (new Tool Army member).
Since you appreciated that scream at the end, The Grudge should be on your list. The entire 10,000 days album is awesome. Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Tool. Enjoy it, I'll be along for the ride 🙂
I am truly sorry it took you this long to get here. That was possibly the most passionate Tool reaction I've seen. What's the term...eargasm. Enjoy the ride!
I have seen almost every big band from the 80s and 90s in concert. TOOL is more of an experience than an event. It sticks with you for days/weeks after seeing them.
TOOL's the GOAT. Their music is unparalleled and can change a life. Take the journey 🙌🏼👁🌀🌀🌀 P.S.Their song "PUSHIT" is one of my favs, along with "Descending" and "Lateralus" 🤘🏼
If she's new to Tool, she has to work her way up to Pushit. Same for Rosetta Stoned. The Pot is the best starting point for anybody. Then songs like Jambi and H. and Parabol/Parabola, Lateralus, Stinkfist, and then move onto their heavier stuff.
@@jpizzle4516 Thank you for this comment!!! I can't tell how many people recommend their live Sober recording out of some type of odd nostalgia. We think it's great because we are fans. But objectively, that MTV version sounds like it was recorded outside in the early 90's in a trash can. Like a bad cassette tape dub. There are literally phone recordings with better sound. And yet... Dummys use that to expose fans to Tool. Maybe they don't want new fans. Idk
So true bro...my life was in ruins after a heartbreaking break up/failed marriage and TOOL made me look at myself from an outsider's viewpoint. Changed my life and made me a better person, their honesty and wisdom really can change lives, for the better. X
Someone commented that this reaction is a Toolgasm, and that describes it perfectly! 😁 I love seeing someone's mind blown by Tool for the first time.❤🤘
There are NO bad tooL songs....unbelievable level of talent with all four musicians, the deepest and most cerebral and spiritual lyrics, journey of a lifetime....30 years plus...Tool Army forever
@@jsalvatori You're wrong. The way Eon Blue Apocalypse leads into and sets up The Patient is great. As a stand alone thing sure it's not doing much. Tool does something that many bands have no clue about or no aptitude for and that's compositional flow throughout an album.
@@6ic6ic6ic yes, as album flow, they help (some of them). As tracks, they aren't great. Put together a mix playlist of all the "filler" tracks and none of mains, and then say tool doesn't have bad tracks
You could ask 10 different people what the Top 5 Tool songs are, get totally different answers, and they'd all be right. If you are interested in exploring the band's discography I wish you luck; it is vast, intense, and brilliant.
I don’t think I’ve seen a better reaction to TOOL! I loved it. 😂 you definitely need to check out more of their music. This is only the beginning. The TOOL army will come
Oh man, what a fantastic journey you have ahead of you tumbling down the Tool rabbit hole. Always really exciting to watch someone experience a band like this that's meant so much to so many.
You should also give Deftones a listen if you want another band that offers eargasmic listening experiences. The singer for this band has a couple of songs he’s featured in as well. Digital Bath, Change, Passenger, Be Quiet and Drive, Beauty School, Rosemary are some of my frequently listened to tracks.
I always feel Right in Two is a good intro to Tool as well - probably their most pop-like song. I'm a huge Tool fan and I used to listen to them at work all the time. One day my brother walked in and starting jamming to Right in Two and finally asked who it was. He was actually shocked it was Tool because it has that radio play vibe.
@Tattoo Dude yes. It's definitely in their top 10 for me (along with 20 other songs), and I agree it would be a good intro. But it still seems to be kind of obscure to non-fans. Not sure why. I have never heard it played on the radio, but I live in the middle of the country.
I've been saying this since 1990 when I first started listening to my fav band, that T🛸👽L has been giving women orgasms since 1990! 😂🤣 Seeing people react to my fav band never gets old for me... This girl seems like someone I would love to have a drink with and hear her story. Also Maynard wouldn't blink an eye at this reaction cause he's too cool for school, but that's why we love him.
That REACTION was so APPROPRIATE.... every body shutter, sway, and movement was so real. Even the one pause was out of sheer necessity to gear yourself with unbelievable excitement for what was to come. Ahhh...brings me back to the first time I heard that song feeling those same primal emotions being uncaged. Nice.....
I have watched over 100 tool reactions, and your reaction is by far the best one. I love that you didn't hold anything back. Keep riding the spiral. You'll never know where you'll end up.
Welcome to the Tool rabbit hole. There is no bad song... and your favorite song will usually be the one your listening to at that moment. Their music is waaaaaaaaaayyyyyyy deeper than what is being shoveled down our throats by the music industry. So enjoy the spiral, and consistent reactions will draw in the Tool Army and bring you many new subs... but the journey has just begun. Some of their pieces NEED to be played together as a duo or trio to be better understood.

I had a friend that saw Tool in concert a few years ago. The next day when I asked her about it she said she actually experienced an orgasm during their set due to their music and Maynard's vocals. I always thought she exaggerated and was just being hyperbolic, but after this reaction I'm not so sure. Anyway, I am intrigued so you got a new sub. Please do more Tool (and Metallica). For Tool, maybe start out where many of us did with "Sober" or continue down this album with "Vicarious".

Two types of TOOL fans - 1) People who love TOOL and 2) People that haven't heard TOOL yet.
This lady taking Molly at home and making a Tool reaction video is the best thing I’ve seen on UA-cam in a long while.

Maynard actually recently said this is the best song to start with.
