The 3DS is still my favorite console to this day, nothing Nintendo makes software-wise has nearly as much charm as it did anymore. I'm amazed to just how much functionality the thing had, so many great little tools and fun apps pre-installed that just made it a joy to goof around with. I really miss that era of this company, was one of the few things setting them apart.

The touch screen on the 3Ds gave way to so many amazing games that wouldn’t really port well in to other consoles, of course there are likely some creative solutions to quite a few of them, but a lot of game mechanics would not be playable in the way they where intended to. Also i miss having music in the settings, home screen and eshop (sorry if my comment is a bit clunky)
YES! The settings music deserver their own video lol, but youre totally right about the accessibility. I guess thats what makes them so extra special in my opinion!
Dude I agree so much! I freaking love love love love love love love this game!!! It’s SUCH a 3DS Gem and to see it be forgotten by Nintendo is so sad. For me the 3DS is and will always be my favorite console. IMO it’s Nintendos best (although I know a lot of people will disagree) but the 3DS represents pure childhood bliss. No responsibility- just this magical device I can take anywhere and play the coolest Nintendo games ever… gosh I miss the 3DS era 🥺 This video just made me decide to replay the Kid Icarus. Imma just ramble a bit on the handheld stuff: I agree man I loved the old small handheld systems with their own limited but interesting library of games and even to some extend their OS, like the 3DS but also the original DS and the GBA. I hope that in the future of games, as the gaming world continues to become more and more niche that this won't only affect games but also systems. With stuff like the Raspberry Pi, a tiny computer with limited power thats purposefully tiny, I do feel like theres some kind of hope for some people, or some company to jump on this and actually create something like this old school tech for the modern world, with custom games and OS that only works on there. As tech advances so do possibilities. Too bad a serious project like this is probably still quite far away and due to gamers focus on comfort and accessibility, IF something like this ever does get created it'll probably stay extremely niche forever, and it's sad that companies like Nintendo will most likely never build something like this due to it not being financially viable for a huge company like that. Also good vid I'm gonna get Kid Icarus and play it on 3DS now

It would be sick to see some sort of start up take on portables like the DS and make their own games for it. But I would admit, people prioritize accessibility these days and I guess im just starting to realize how it can be a double edge sword.
