- During the 2020 Supercar Owners Circle in Gstaad, Switserland I have filmed a crazy Porsche Carrera GT! You see it on the closed airfield racing against other hypercars, like the Pagani Zonda F and Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse! Who will be the fastest? I hope you enjoy the video.

The carrera is a beautiful car, but the Veyron it’s on another level. Still prefer the shape of the carrera though.

@qt inner at best maybe close , look at the Lexus and then look at the cgt The Lexus looks like 50 k cheap car. The cgt was built not for it’s sound or engine, it was built for Porshe to compete in a race, then they decided not to participate in that race so then decided to put the car to sell to the public.
No, the sound the carrera gt has will never come out again. After 16 years still no one can produce that sound. It’s a real f1 sound Goosebumps sound. Maybe that’s why, because this car was suppose to be a different car but somehow found it’s way on the public roads.

Neither do you, you can't touch the accelarator, that's why he is (and everyone with a carrera gt is) so slow out of a dig. You either slip and burn the clutch, put a load while with the clutch down and just drop the clutch and make a big burnout or you stall it.
Guy did what he was supposed to do, cgts aren't made for launches at all.
He doesn't wanna butcher the clutch only because of that clutch costs a ton of money.

He may be slow off the line in that CGT with its tricky clutch and he may look like he’s well into his 90s wearing that stupid little hat, but once it gets going, that car looks quick.

Engine sound GT all day, pure super car performance Veyron. That's like asking me to race Usain Bolt though lol.
The CGT is much faster around a track. In fact with a proper launch it would be faster but eventually the Veyron will do its thing.

All the comments about the driving of the Carrera GT owner. Please read up on the clutch guys. You have no idea what you are talking about. The guy is just careful because a replacement is $35,000.
I actually just ordered and installed a brand new one for my client which is the reason why I was looking up these videos for sport. It cost $7,900. Where did you get your info? Stop trying to act smart kid. You have no idea what you are talking about. I do this for a living.
@@shawnsingh9698 Really. Must have been a china made one. Everyone that owns the Carrera GT says the clutch is north of 25k!! 7,900 is BS. It is well known that the clutch replacement is at least 25k!! Now that may be with installation, but it is the final price (unless you are a master mechanic at Porsche) that is the price.

Yap but in some part of the world it's very difficult to get and the price is also very high . But it is still possible to buy one you can easily get it ..like in British Columbia or in UAE
Not the brand new one. The production was over. But if you are lucky enough than you probably can find one but it would cost more than a million dollar now.
@Eric Zhao actually they are way more expensive. Some real nice ones sell for 1 - 1.5 million. Even one with high milleage goes for 800k

I think the Carrera gt is the last in your own spicy. Before the Carrera gt super cards implement much much electronics security system to limitations of the drivers. Carrera Gt is the last super cars when you pilot get full control of the machine.

Can someone explain like I’m five why you can’t launch a Carrera GT?
In a regular car where you can build the revs and just release the clutch, this isn’t possible in a Carrera GT. You have to just slowly release the clutch with no throttle and a auto throttle takes over and the car starts moving. If you applied any throttle whilst releasing the clutch it would just stall the engine. Hence why you always see them rolling away slowly before any power is applied.

@@ikhsanhafizi5280 Yea ofc. So cgt clutches are very small and basically act more like an "on/off" switch. So you need to give the *perfect* amount of gas to start. If you don't give enough gas it'll stall. If you give it too much, the tires will spin and you might lose control (since there's no traction). And even if you were skilled enough to launch it like that, the clutch will wear out really easily (it has 4 friction discs and costs a bomb to repair). So porsche made an anti-stall system which pulls the car forward when you disengage the clutch
