Hi! I'm a new subscriber and love your videos. I have a baby daughter with a similar type of hair as you (I think). 4c, low porosity, protein sensitive. As you can probably tell from my profile pic, this is TOTALLY different from my hair and so I'm learning all about this as I go. I've already learned a lot about how to care for her hair from your videos (and lots of other websites and tutorials) but my request is that you add a video for caring for a baby with this hair. For example, deep conditioning under a cap overnight won't work, 'cause she'll pull the cap off. I'm not sure how to deep condition her hair with heat (with some other people recommend) because I try to do as much as I can while she's sitting in the baby bathtub, playing with toys. Getting her to sit still for more than five minutes is really hard at this age (18 months) so braids and twists seem nearly impossible. I have a bunch more follow up questions but I'll leave it at that for now. Thanks again for your videos. I want her hair to look like yours some day. :)
Joanna Lovinger keep her hair braided & wash on the weekends. try nice child styling like twist with barrettes on the ends, deep condition over the weekend aswell
I'm really glad you're investing in your baby's hair and not running to get her a perm. Good on you! The thing about heat conditioning is that it's mostly if the hair has a tough time getting moisture. The heat opens up the hair shaft to allow moisture more easily in. A similar effect can be achieved if you just leave the conditioner in her hair for a longer duration. I'm not sure how long her hair is, or how easily she can take things off her head, but I'd suggest one of two things. If her hair is long, put the conditioner in, put her hair in a pineapple, and then put a cap over just the pineapple and tuck the cap in the ponytail holder to secure. After all, it's the ends that are most sensitive. As long as you get her roots moisturized and it's not going to drip into her eyes you're golden. Leave it for 30 minutes or whatever your bottle says plus 15. Another thing is you can put the shower cap on her post conditioning, THEN, get a "wig cap," usually made of spandex or polyester, and put that over it. It's more encompassing than a scarf and there are no ends for her to grab. It's not tight, and she won't be able to get that off, guaranteed. Good luck! (curlz.wegotkidz.com/african-american-baby-hair-care-dos-donts/)
Can you do a video on your Shea butter mixture please? Your hair growth tips have been really working for me for the past 3-4 months and I really want to incorporate more home made products into my regimen.
uh my God girl! So good to hear about all the products you use! I am a 4b, and it's kind of hard to find other sisters with the same hair type! I've been taking care of my hair in the past year and retaining length, and it's good to learn about more amazing products from you. thanks for the video :)
I enjoyed the info you shared. I am protein sensitive too, but I do need protein now and again if I notice my hair shedding, like after I had my sons! So I do a pre poo protein treat, which is Plain yogurt, with ACV, raw honey, oils and essential oils, on damp hair, wrapped in plastic for about 30 mins or longer if I am busy. Make sure to apply to scalp and massage in also rinse it well.. Then I do a clarifying shampoo, once in a while. The Yogurt really cleanses my scalp as it kills bacteria. Research it. It got rid of my itchy flaky scalp. If my scalp feels irritated or tight, the above is my go to treat. But I do have to do an oily deep treat condit after. Try it. It is great after a colour mixed with ACV as it helps restore the PH balance of the hair, plus it is cheaper than other hair protein treatments.
so it says, "product list coming soon" in the description. That was months ago, this video is virtually useless as the consensus among the comment section is that we cannot identify some of the products. I'm going to give you some tough love. From a subscriber and fan of the channel, get it together.
My daughters have oily scalps but dry hair and Argan Rain Shampoo is just wonderful. Unfortunately, it is effective on dandruff and smells wonderful. Also, delivered safely, thanks to DHL!!
I wanna shout you out for the shampoo options and your admission of your coconut oil intolerance because ghurl I am going through it with HG shampoo having changed its formula and no other shampoo I have tried giving me peace. Thankfully both neem shampoos are available in the UK so I am ordering this week.
kggirl21 Lol wow I'm just seeing this.... has it always been that way?? I promise you my hair detests coconut oil (and protein) but the Wild growth feels amazing. I personally have never had an issue with it.
Felicia. Stargin sharing what I use in. hair routine wash twice a month I use hair gels a pink and black shower cap right now6 in1 oils coconut oil shea butter and rice water.
You mentioned in the sequel videos the importance of stretching your hair. how do you do that? I hear a lot of people mention it but not sure how to do it without breaking my hair. I've only been natural for about 2yrs and I have 3c 4a hair but depending on what I use one texture will dominate the other. (curly in summer, wooly in the winter) any advice you can give on this would be greatly appreciated. thanks again for the videos!
There is a hair loss shampoo which provides strength to hair and increases hair density. You can watch customer review on UA-cam or you can get more information visit the *argan rain website.*
Weeeeell... coconut oil makes my hair really crusty and dry. That was the primary indicator for me. Also, every time I use protein products, my hair becomes really brittle/crusty/dry. With a bit of research, I discovered that coconut oil prevents the loss of protein in the hair. By this time I already knew that conventional protein products (and products with mild proteins in them) were not my friends. This final affliction (lol) reaffirmed that I'm highly protein sensitive.
one of ur puffs is like my whole head of hair lol loved the video

A quick deep condition Aussie deep conditioner moist. It works in only 3 mins no heat need. It's a purple bottle.
I use both Wild Growth Oils too. I love them. Definitely holy grail status.
Ahahaha yay! I'm so happy I'm not alone on this one 😭!
I love the fact that your hair is in a style other than a twist out, bantu knots or a fro. We need to see more styles! Thanks!

I LOVE the curl enhancing smoothie by shea moisture! My holy grail.
+Nneka Okoli My hair doesn't really like Shea Moisture 😭. I so wish it did! Do you know if the CES has protein in it?
The packaging says it has silk protein in it!
+Nneka Okoli Awwwww struggle! I know I can't use it then 😭.
The curl enhancing smoothie is my holy grail too!! it really does define my curls and makes my hair feel juicy and lush.. I use the LCO method.
