- In my first full computer game walkthrough, I do an audio commentary as I play the first Nancy Drew game I ever played: Treasure in the Royal Tower, the fourth game in the series.
Now I didn't realize until I first watched this video that, since I had my microphone on to record my voice, it also picked up sounds that are louder than usual. For example, every time I use the mouse, the clicking sound is very loud, so I apologize for that, but I can't do anything about it. I also noticed after recording the video that, while the picture was on sync with the audio at first, it gradually fell behind by a few seconds before the first half hour and up to the end. Perhaps it's due to the fact that I played the game on my 10+ years old Windows 7.

"chocolate mayhem, that sounds heaven to me" had me dying 😂😂😂 me too girl!
This is the second game i ever played, and one of my all time favorites. Regardless of how ridiculous "the inventor of chocolate milk built a castle, bought the tower and transferred it to wisconsin brick by brick" sounds.
I love Dexter, and i love the poem ezra wrote him. The whole little nook in the library just pulls the strings on my heart.
Not to mention, this is where we are introduced to the ICONIC professor hotchkiss!!!
Woah. Ive never heard the burp. That was a first for me. It was pretty funny. But who is it supposed to be?? I always thought it was just the five of them there!
Treasure in the Royal Tower was my VERY first Nancy Drew game, so of course I HAD to start my Nancy Drew walkthrough series by making a walkthrough of it!!! 😁😁😁
So because Treasure in the Royal Tower was the first ND game I played, which was when I was 13, it's one of my most favorites. What I like most about it is that it's a history mystery that involves finding hidden treasure. Other games I love that are history mysteries with hidden treasure (or at least some object with a lot of monetary value) include Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake, Message in a Haunted Mansion, Secret of the Scarlet Hand, and Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon, ALL of which are my favorite games!!! 😁❤😁❤
Treasure was also the first game that I solved. After I started playing it, I also started playing Message in a Haunted Mansion, which was what my sister had. Then my parents bought me the other games that were out by then: The Final Scene, Stay Tuned for Danger, and Secrets Can Kill. However, when I was playing them, I got to a point where I couldn't seem to make any more progress, so I left them all unfinished for a while. Then eventually I picked up on something that allowed me to continue with Treasure, and before I knew it, I finally finished it! After I did, I made a goal to finish every Nancy Drew game that I played, and that's just what I did! In fact, I finished playing Midnight in Salem for the very first time a few weeks ago, so now I have played ALL of the games, including the original Secrets Can Kill, Ransom of the Seven Ships, and the two Dossier games! 👏🏻 I feel so proud! 😊
Now getting to your comment, I'm glad you liked my comment about the chocolate mayhem! 😄😋 And I was just thinking since you mentioned it here, since Ezra Wickford invented chocolate milk in Nancy's universe, is the drink served at Wickford castle?
Finding Wickford's secret study in the library was a very exciting moment for me. But finding the corridor leading to the queen's tower was even MORE exciting!!! 😁😄👍🏻
Thank you for mentioning you noticed the burp! 😉 I was VERY excited to catch it because I was hoping some moment like that would happen in my gameplay just so I could point it out in the walkthrough! But I have NO idea where it comes from or who does it! I figured that because it's a sound effect that happens randomly and not always when you play the game, maybe it's some kind of glitch or goof. When I play it in the future, I'll see if it happens again after I check that the lights need to be turned on for the stairs.
@@HAFanForever you said that sometimes you'd get stuck in a game and play another, until you eventually found a clue, or whatever the case may be. And that royal tower was the first game you SOLVED. girl, I you could have been speaking about my own life there because I DID THE SAME THING!!!! some games I solved fine, but I'd have so many games started and unfinished too!! I eventually got better at them lol

Great job!!!! Thank you for playing on the junior level because many jump into the senior level and move on fast pace because they have played before, but it isn't a very good intro to people that haven't played it before. I love the games and look to enjoy every moment of them.
Thank YOU for leaving such a kind comment! ❤ With this being my first ND walkthrough, and my first walkthrough for the series as a whole, I definitely agree it is a good intro to new players by playing on junior detective as opposed to senior detective since the former is much easier.

Btw, I had never even heard of couscous until I played Treasure in the Royal Tower. Similarly, Secret of the Scarlet Hand taught me the term "conquistador". 😁😁😁
