- Grab every clamp you have and then call all your friends and get their clamps as well.
For this step, you will spend far more time planning than you will actually doing. putting on a gunwale either inner or outer takes less than 5 minutes of lining up and clamping. Where you will spend your time is applying the glue, fiddling with the alignment and cleaning up the joints before you pat yourself on the back.

Cool thnx Jack.. I like the way you break down the process. Nothing left to chance..
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Go forth and build.
wow what an amazing resource you've created. Let me ask you for advise. I've got this old family 14' sailboat (Atlana Koralle) without deck, without gunwales and one of the two daggerboxes is no longer attached. I was told the hull is tight - but it's not very thick (slightly thinner than yours) and rather easily deformable. What should be the order of repairs? Scrape off the inside of the hull, apply thin epoxy sealer, attach and reinforce the daggerboxes, then make gunwales and check the remaining struts, finally attach marine ply to the gunwales to form the deck. Does that sound ok? Any comments very appreciated. Matej
Hello Matej,
It is hard to say too much without seeing the hull, however I can say this. nothing happens until you have a stable hull. The hull you are looking at in this video is 1/4" core and it is very solid.
Some of the rigidity comes from the scantlings and some is from the shape of the hull itself. It is possible, even likely that you will need to install dagger boxes, seats, risers etc... in order to achieve a stable hull. It is really all very design dependent.
Best of luck
Jack
