I think they are so excited because it stayed together and engine parts didn’t go flying everywhere. Most diesel trucks with that amount off power are hard to keep together. Whoever the mechanic is congratulations 🎉
I’m surprised that the roller dyno could handle that much power. I’m sure there was some spray glue on the tires to keep it from just blowing the tires off of the truck. The amount of torque that it produces to make it move that much is insane. I’d like to see the truck on a hub dyno to see how much it moves. The amount of power that truck puts out it would be almost impossible to keep it planted on any dyno. Great job guys! Much respect. Keep us posted on the next time it hits the track! This is nuts. I've seen engine dynos of 7.6l diesels with 3 turbos make that number, but chassis dyno out of a light duty Cummins? There can't be very much left on the table at this point.

would a na setting change the numbers I know some dynos have a couple different setting and na is the highest reading even if not as accurate that is why a hub dyno is preferred as it is the most accurate
He was holding them from the beginning of the video, LOAD makes heat in the turbine house/cylinders which is power and flow and ultimately spool. You can see the light grey smoke from the brakes very early on.

No. They used the brakes to build boost. During the actual time the power is measured they were not on the brakes. Common procedure on the dyno to build more boost.
that's cause firepunk tuned it. if you want a clean truck go to them for a tune. they're smart enough to run on the lean side of the fuel curve and make em run like a scalded cat.
if those straps broke, I'm pretty sure they would have traveled into the future.

Looks like when the truck rolled down the rollers it made the rear straps pull that much harder and helped it not spin.

Theres diesel trucks whos trap speed put them well over 3k hp.

The dyno is rated for holding 2500 with "no slip", it can read up to 4000
Why not hook them up to a hub dyno
