One youtuber suggests that rear speakers should be placed such that they are facing outwards towards the walls so that the sound can then bounce back as per Atmos and the ceiling with upfacing speakers. My lounge size is 12.5 foot depth, width is 10.5 foot and ceiling height is 7.9 foot. I wish to have 4 seats in a row. Mostly i watch regular TV shows, movies, and sports. I dont play games on this home theatre. Could you please advise on choosing between Home theatre soundbar samsung HW-Q900A and Q870A(2021). Both are in same price the range. HW-Q900A has 7.1.2 channel sound without rear speakers. HW-Q870A has 5.1.4 channel sound with wireless rear speakers. Could you please suggest me to choose the better soundbar from the above two and few tips on setup, considering my room space, TV size and seating capacity. Thanks in advance.
Great minds think alike. When I got this Im like why not angle it a bit and put it forward after doing a typical setup. Huge diff when getting true Atmos or DTS X when my couch is 18 ft far and 9ft ceiling.

Hello, I am looking to buy the JBL Bar 9.1 but I want to know if I put a Fire tv stick 4k in the 'HDMI in' of my soundbar and connect a projector through 'HDMI (eARC)' out of my soundbar to 'HDMI in (without ARC/eARC)' of my projector and use netflix on my Fire stick, will it show atmos support for supported content? Please reply. This is greatly going to influence my purchase decision.
Sir Namesty your engineering has to be appreciated. JBL team should probably contact you directly I think. Have you designed a master piece in engineering? You are concerned about the clarity of the sound, and you don't know ABCD of sound clarity I think you know the sound clarity and whatever it is, you understand first of all that you have done wrong placement of this 1 time. Really speaker replacement has been done wrong and the matter is the setup of your room, there are so many objects inside the room which block the sound. You are not even aware of it and you are thinking so much of the sound setup that I did very well. You have set up totally wrong and secondly, the first setup that you have put in front of the sound wife, that is the wrong total. If you keep the battery then more batter sound for it and secondly, if you put your speaker on top of it, then in the settings which go to the sound, if it was not placed above your ears, then always a little distance in front of your TV.
Not recommended. It deflects sound around the room so if it's high then it defeats the purpose of it. You definitely can mount it above the TV but you won't be getting the best sound quality out of your system
Not working god damn. My Xbox one X is connected with my UHD TV. The XBox One X goes to TV HDMI1. Then i connect my JBL 9.1 Soundbar with my TV with ARC to ARC. So i cant select 5.1 or 7.1 or Dolby Atmos for home theaters.. Why? Its a 5.1.4 Atmos Soundbar. Ive never seen the Atmos font on my Soundbar :'(( Can anyone help me? I tryed all, nothing helped. Another guy say i have to connect My Xbox to my Soundbar, and the Soundbar to the TV with ARC. But then i cant find the input source on my Tv. I think the HDMI Cable from Xbox and JBL must be good enought for this. I've been desperate for 6 months now. Someone get a cold Beer from Switzerland for helping me... pls? This is monstercrap :-( TV is LG 65UJ63.
Just connect Xbox to soundbar input and output from soundbar to tv any HDMI or ARC before this make sure to set audio setting on Xbox or download Dolby app for atmos or 5.1 settings

@@padgettga Im going to be fully honest... The bass is great no problems there I even turned it down as it pounded too much shaking the house type thing... I feel it's a good system over all... I paid 900 Canadian... I feel I overpaid a little. The rear speakers sound good. I get a little cutout while watching tv but on a ps5 they are incredible no cutout. I'm new to this stuff so it could be different for you. The main soundbar unit is a little underwhelming as expected as it is in front of the tv and not out to the side like a traditional 3 speaker front unit. I should also add I use eARC and not the recommended arc passthrough for best results... It really depends on what you pay for it... Had I paid 600 I'd be fully happy. 900 was a little too much I feel. My rooms also really big and awkward with all types of dimensions including a triangular roof. Any questions let me know

Well this is were other people and reviewers have said the JBL does not pass the Atmos to the Apple tv. I think JBL has made updates for their rear speakers which gave lots of people problems. You charge them on soundbar or micro usb?
Don't buy 9.1 sound bar , its bass system is zero & bass quality is zero , cant feels bass . Don't buy it . Buy 5.1 which us better . 9.1 is waste of money . JBL sound quality for 9.1 is zero . Having both system 5.1 bar is superb & 9.1 is garbage

They should have taken a video test to advertise and better check its quality
