I have a 2021 RAM HD and keep getting a recall notice for this but the one I just got today still says, "Remedy Not Available." Stop sending me recalls till you can actually fix the problem RAM.
And if they didn’t send the notice of ‘remedy not available’, billions of idiots would be wining about ‘whens the recall going to be announced?’. Dammed if they do, dammed if they don’t….🙄
I'm a bit curious why you showed overhead imagery of Lake Granby in Colorado when the map of the Great American Rail Trail appears to go well north of Colorado through Wyoming!
Fairfield State Park is only a an hour from where we live. We have visited it and it was a great place for us during the cooler months down here in Texas. We are sad to see it go, but I can't really blame the State. They are currently in the process of opening a couple new State Parks soon. I am sure this had an impact on having the funds to do anything about this issue. I am hoping the new parks update facilities to the current needs of us that RV because 50 Amp hookups is a must for staying at any Texas parks during the hotter months. Nothing like the low being in the 90s down here during those brutal months. UGH!
Parking outside is easy enough, but what about when you actually sleep in your truck? Do they expect you to sleep outside instead until they have a fix? 😂
Yes! ❤ I’ve rented several dozen electrical cars and been stranded several times. I’d LOVE a hybrid version, that you could use either way, or both to use the electric motors to help you up a hill for example.
Lithium is mined two ways depending on the form of the deposit, and BOTH are detrimental to the earth and the environment, and both consume fossil fuel. I've been to the lithium triangle and have seen the effects from the pools. I've been to where it's mined from bedrock, and it is tremendously destructive. Spent batteries have no recycling path and become waste. Visit one of the extensive graveyards for electrical vehicle batteries. There is no benefit to these vehicles, and if you look at them from creation to grave, including all manufacturing of all components and all charges, the truth no-one wants to speak of is there is zero improvement to the impact to the earth and atmosphere. The aluminum used in the structures creates bauxite as a waste stream with waste impoundments around the globe viewable from space and no path to beneficial use. All the plastics used still consume fossil resources. Electric vehicles are purely feel good, not do good. The impact is just more out of sight of the average person.
@@roundpeg3239 - I’ve walked out to me car rental in the morning to find it dead several times. I’ve twice missed flights because it said it had 100+ miles left and it died half way there. So yeah, hybrids charge the system while running, charge the batteries, and give you an option other than a tow truck when you run outta juice.
Hey Jason, can I use the new tax credits for solar panels and batteries I put on my "second home," my RV? I think the solar panels qualify, including labor, but I'm not sure about the "stand-alone" part of the battery credit. Maybe you could cover this in a future news roundup?
Good thing we have an older 3500 Ram Truck. New e truck sounds like a hybrid What? Loss of state park is 😢 There should be designated and reserved on BLM. The Wall was a mess - someone parked so close we could barely get our truck in to hitch up I hate hearing about Bear hunting. We have that in Florida and Mommas are killed which means babies will die. Larry’s a major biker so the Greenway is one of his favorites Thanks for all the news
Technically correct, but it is really just a generator. The gas motor is not connected to the drivetrain at all, unlike plug-in hybrids where both an ICE and an electric motor(s) can and do power the drivetrain. In theory, this will be a pretty big win as it will still allow the truck to operate as an EV for local driving and for the initial part of a towing trip while also providing (in theory) unlimited range and still provided the driver with the massive torque of an electric motor. Both BMW and Mazda already have similar technology in one or more vehicles (BMW i3, Mazda MX-30). Even if you live full time in a travel trailer and average about a week per campsite, the vast majority of your driving trips are still unhitched and could be electrified, meaning you would quite possibly only need the gas-powered range extender for travel days. This is all in theory, of course, but we'll see how things actually pay out in practice.
Always love your keeping me in the know...but I really am curious how it's going in the Ibex? Did I miss a video? I love the idea of the Curt suspension but wondering about the overall quality of the trailer. I've read some reviews and people seem to be happy with the floor plans and how it tows but not with the quality.
We’ve had plenty of chats about it on the @RVMilesPodcast channel and are working on a series of upcoming videos here that will address this question and several others. 🙌🏽
He's taking about Miami Dade county, where about 3 million people live not including tourists, who don't know how to drive in Miami traffic. Florida is little bigger than 20 square miles.
Ridiculous to lose a state park to a bunch of greedy wealthy people. I bet they could've found other land that didn't involve shutting peole out. So selfish.
Right now, I despise all the EV trucks. 1. They're butt ugly. 2. Their range is only appealing to people who use their trucks to do things a Ford Explorer could do. 3. The fact the government keeps doing subsidies to help get them sold just ticks me off. 4. If we don't improve the grid with real power plants, the EVs could create some real problems only California residents and a few others are used to. I know electricity is amazingly strong. But until they make a truck that can do everything my work trucks do for me every day plus they can haul a 20,000 lb. toy hauler over 600 miles per day, then I will push for diesel fuel and gasoline all the time. EVs will probably have their time but let the market create that and stop putting in special laws and regulations to make EVs more appealing while punishing the fuel burning vehicle owners.

Thank you Jason for reporting this about the Ram EV and Ford and the Texas park and Michigans parks as well!
How was that trip down the Baja roads ?
Great video . Truck builders I don't get walk before you run I think. Meaning hybrid first. Then work out the battery bugs
i'd love to see a hybrid HD truck.
That's Sad, Fairfield Texas State Park Is One My Favorites!
I think the range extender for the battery-electric Ram is a great idea. I don't think I would ever consider a B-E vehicle without that.
Thanks for the fantastic video and great reporting as usual
Thank you too!
Rushing technology is never a good thing.
Instead of engineers running the show, they have activists.
We just looked at Rams today. Dealer can’t sell them till the recall is done so no new pickups can be sold. Can’t even test drive.
I'm a bit curious why you showed overhead imagery of Lake Granby in Colorado when the map of the Great American Rail Trail appears to go well north of Colorado through Wyoming!
I think that may have been a mistake by my editor. Nice catch.
@7:10, if you listen closely you can hear someone snickering
Thanks for another very informative and useful episode.
Happy Camping
You bet!
20 years, I'll be 77 (maybe) so I guess I'll start looking for an E-bike.
Thanks for info, great job.
Thanks for the video and up to date RV news.
You bet!

You bet
I have two range extenders in the bed of my diesel truck.
Predator 3500 generators. 🤣🤣
Parking outside is easy enough, but what about when you actually sleep in your truck? Do they expect you to sleep outside instead until they have a fix? 😂
Yes 🤤
I don't understand why they don't do more hybrids.
I really wish someone would put out a heavy-duty hybrid truck.
Yes! ❤ I’ve rented several dozen electrical cars and been stranded several times. I’d LOVE a hybrid version, that you could use either way, or both to use the electric motors to help you up a hill for example.
because they arent much better than electric

Too bad about Fairfield Lake State park. I guess in Texas eminent domain is not for the ultra rich.
From China I'm sure 😭
A gas extender 😂 called a motor

@@RVMiles Looking forward to that! Hope you all are enjoying the Baja.
Masterful use of the pregnant pause when talking about Florida drivers. Haha! Good news on the trail front!
I was already looking down at the volume slider to see if I had accidentally muted the video somehow when he added, "...unpredictable".

Great video!
Thanks for the visit!
It also has a bolt that should be replaced that when it comes apart destroys the engine. When I get 100,000 miles out to comes.
GOOD JOB. Nice hair.

Damn good stories, did not care for that advertisement in the middle. That is why I pay for Premium...
Unfortunately, premium doesn't pay creators very much. We make about $40 a month off of premium users, who are 10% of the people who watch.
Jason you are loosing a lot of weight quickly. I’m worried about you. If this is part of your life plan, great. If not, please take care of yourself.
If only that were true!
Ev's and hybrids still suck
👎👎👎👎 for the loss of the state park in Texas. 👎👎👎👎 for good measure. Don’t know if the BLM changes are a good or a bad thing.
