Picked up boxing a few months ago and boy is it humbling 😂. We swear we can fight until we actually get into an environment with actual fighters. You’ll enjoy the progress bro congrats on the new hobby and thanks for the content always encouraging 💯
You not lying Phil….I played college ball and played in leagues after and just local pick up….I gave it up after a bad injury last year and picked up swimming…By no means am I trying to be a pro level swimmer but there’s something about starting something new and wanting to be good at it…I been getting good critiques from people who have been doing it longer than I have at the pool, so it’s encouraging me to keep going….Hope you enjoy this new athletic journey boss…God Bless !! 💪🏾

Phil finna start sayin, “Try Jesus not me.”😭😭😭😭😭 I’m just playing.🤣 I did boxing in college. It was definitely fun and a nice lil workout before bed. I don’t have a favorite black movie honestly. I know so many of them are classics but I never watched any of them besides, Daddy’s Little Girls, ATL and Love & Basketball. Also, now that we’re older I don’t care to support or lean into the struggle love, growing up in poverty narrative that 99% of them movies have. I know it’s not “that deep” to some people but that’s just me.🤷🏽♀️ The more you watch that you’ll be convinced that’s what love looks like or that you’ll always be in poverty and it’s okay to just be mediocre and get by in life because you don’t want to leave people and old ways behind you. I’m so hype to go see Planet of the Apes. That’s my favorite type of movie to watch…animals + destruction. I be on the edge of my seat.💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
I really dont like that sub genere of black movies for that very reason. Especially when other races don't feel so heavy to just watch a regular movie. I want to see more of us in movies rather than the gangster, drug dealer, and slave narrative.

I too just got into boxing and I like it. It gives me a feeling that I can't describe yet honestly. I enjoy it so much better than weight lifting and I'm not a big fan of cardio, but when practicing, it doesn't feel like I'm working out. The main benefit i love is that when it allows me to focus and block everything out, be in the moment. I also want to record my workouts but im lowkey scared tbh.

I like how you work out at the playground! I'm in spired. Man, and the watermelons you eat has my mouth water everytime. In Seattle watermelons are seedless and don't taste as good as the ones with seeds in it. Its not sweet nor juicy. I miss eating good watermelons. I enjoy watching your content. Much Love.🌹
Sometimes some smaller theaters show old films. I notice them do it a lot more in the Fall too. One near me (in Dallas) showed Love & Basketball, Love Don’t Cost a Thing, and Love Jones all in one month.
