      Unreal Environments - Speed Level Design a larger wasteland would be awesome! This map is very nice because i love the map design in fallout and this looks very close to it. I think i have to create 1000 fakeaccounts for subscribing. I will have a long night :P

    You should attempt creating an abandoned old village in a desert, slowly being swallowed by the sand, or maybe a broken down, abandoned carnival?? That would be amazing, awesome work as always! Wish I was as creative & able to create my own worlds

      @unrealenvironments-speedle782  7 років тому

      thanks, now i don't remeber exactly if i changed something, for sure i' ve build the lightning and that improved a lot the whole scene and the rendering in sequencer (at 1440p) has done the rest!

    Loved the way, U made the structure using modular parts. Also those ground materials are really nice, are they using displacement map?

    • @unrealenvironments-speedle782
      @unrealenvironments-speedle782  7 років тому +1

      the landscpae material is from this pack: www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/broadleaf-forest-collection, i think it uses tesselation

    • @Ti133700N
      @Ti133700N 7 років тому +2

      Yea it's amazing that it was all made from an absolute blank canvas and only lots of modualr parts. I know it's the way to go now for most UE4 maps, but the structures in particular were very well designed imo considering how the parts were re-used and put together in a way that doesn't look like a "cloned wall". As always the Post Process Volume brings everything together and really makes it feel exactly like the atmosphere should be.
      Some minor details that I would play with: the stop sign doesn't really fit there right besides the building's door, maybe if you extend the level you could add some sort of trail and use the sign there where it would make more sense. I kind of like the idea of the big vines between the buildings, but it looked odd indeed that's probably why you abandoned the idea. But since you added power lines, I think you could add wires between powerlines and make the vines dangle from there instead for a similar look.
      I'm very happy that you are doing that speed level series, it's great !

    • @unrealenvironments-speedle782
      @unrealenvironments-speedle782  7 років тому

      the stop sign was put there by the builder of the shack like a warning sign for other people. Thanks for the suggestions!
