Appreciate all the comments! A few things - 1) I think it's okay to cry at the Barbie movie! Now that some people shared examples, I totally forgot about what happened in the movie (America Ferrara's monologue, the ending, etc.). That's why I was just saying I couldn't remember what happened that would make somebody cry. Thanks for sharing :) 2) All the comments about the two different songs... I've shared many times that I am very forgetful when it comes to lyrics and/or musical artists that sing the song. Also though - not everybody has the same musical taste and that's a GOOD thing. There's so much music to enjoy. I'm glad y'all love those songs and that they mean something special to you. Please don't perceive my poor memory as anything besides a poor memory.
i went to the movie expecting something silly and not up my alley (im not a comedy girl) and def cried multiple times. especially with the mother/daughter depictions it made me ache since my mother became an empty nester this year and decided to move home to renovate her parents’ home so that my siblings and i can always have a home even after she is gone
Don't be sorry for talking negatively about religion/church, because they surely are not sorry for insulting and hating queer people. And don't feel sorry for your Barbie movie commentary. It's really just pretending to be deep but in the end quite superficial and not very innovative. But how dare you insult poor bugs, moths and butterflies ): They are just being their own special self
my fun fact is that the megachurch her mom took her to-life church-believes that being gay is caused by childhood trauma. so cool she took her gay daughter there though :)
Now that you mention it… yeah she’s pretty susceptible. I’ve been saying for a while she has no idea how vulnerable she actually is. Back when wifey era started I was like she’s just inviting this person to stay in her home with no idea if something nefarious could’ve happened, she can’t take care of herself like that let alone physically defend herself if the situation arose. That’s some self awareness she needs because she’s very susceptible to A LOT of manipulation, she’s a little gullible, is more vulnerable than she’s aware/would like to admit. I may not be an ambaby, but I don’t want to see something awful happen to her or honestly for her to end up in a cult with how she buys into anything (like the different weight loss programs, buying fully into it before she knows if it’s something she likes and ends up regretting it - ie optavia). Hopefully she gains that self awareness, especially living on her own, she was so shocked about wifey getting her pepper spray like ma’am 🤦🏼♀️
Amber needs to spend more time in children’s museums. She’s mentally a child and seemingly never learned the basics of life, including science. So I say bring on EducationLynn.
I went to a science museum mostly for kids 2 weeks ago and I had a wonderful time. I loved learning some new things and definitely testing out things I already knew existed
one thing consistant about ALR and Foodie is that no matter how many museums, relationships, books, travels, experiences, etc. - they never learn anything
Yeah people have been saying that and I have to agree. It makes no sense to take her to that young a museum though at her age unless some family members were there with kids...
Ohmagah! If her childhood would have consisted of giving her the authority to choose what they did in their day (do you want to do something fun or responsible?)…..
Nothing was “stolen.” The childhood we got is the one we had. We get one shot, then on to the next stage of Life. No do-overs. Only moving on. Otherwise you get stuck in the past and are not able to be in the “now” where your present stage of life needs living. Onward, ever onward.. you never cross the same stream twice etc..
I bawled my eyes out at the Barbie movie. The scene that did it for me was toward the end with just Barbie and Ruth Handler, with Billie’s song playing in the background. I’m on a healing journey and going back to school as a nontraditional student, so the existentialism hit me just right. I could see someone like Amberlynn also getting emotional, especially since she has such a fragile sense of self
I think i barely breathed throughout that scene because i really didn't want my husband who was sitting next to me to hear me sobbing. He was excited for the Barbie movie because I was excited and I told him it was gonna be a fun and cute movie.
Honestly all of the “kid” stuff Amber does is completely fine. I don’t know who decided adults just aren’t allowed to enjoy things they use to. It’s all her other shit I take issue with.
I was hoping to find someone else in the comments who thought this!! I’m 23 and just went to the Boston Museum of Science last summer with my boyfriend and it was an amazing date I’ll never forget
It’s the irony behind it.. and a combination of MANY past jokes- she’s been referred to as a giant toddler, her home with Eric, Ricky, Becky was jokingly called “gaycare” by many, she does “expert” legos, colors, reads youth books (not to mention her own writings lol), scratch art, collected miscellaneous children’s toys, her poor vocabulary yet claiming she took an IQ test and had a very high IQ, 4.0 GPA and got all A’s in collage, I know I’m forgetting some things here- but yes it’s OK to enjoy things typically enjoyed by kids.. the sheer quantity of things she does and enjoys that are typically targeted toward children PLUS former jokes made about her is what makes it funny that she went to a children’s museum. I hate that in explaining all of this but this is everything that ties together and makes it funny. It’s fine to like any one thing or multiple things but this is Amber and it’s different in a funny way when you look at the big picture.

When they showed the montage of mothers and daughters and the quote “We mothers stand still so our daughters can look back to see how far they've come.” I’ve lost my parents so it really made me bawl. ❤
The Barbie movie is super relatable for a lot of women. I cried both times I watched it, so I don't think Amber is overreacting in this case. The moments where Barbie acknowledges human emotion and experiences, the montage of real girls and women, and that sad ass Billie Eilish song... I can't help but cry. The movie really speaks to the average woman's experience. I get choked up even when rewatching those scenes.

I rarely says this, but I’m with Amberlynn on this one, Barbie also made me cry. As an Asian woman, growing up with a shitty dad, had someone yelled l “shut up woman” at me. I’ve made my way obtaining a master’s degree with my dearest mother’s support, who believes education is important to women (unlike other traditions thinking education does nothing for women, all women need to do is stay home and take care of kids). I’ve seen women struggling in life, so many of them. It’s a privilege to never have to go through those. I’m pretty sure that Barbie is definitely a touching movie to a lot of women who work hard, and have been struggling. Any lady reading this, I hope you have a wonders day, and you are the best.
Tbh from the perspective of a trans man, the Barbie movie made me shed a few tears. I see other commenters already mentioned the speech between Barbie and Ruth; I was watching that movie with my mom and it was a very tender commentary on girlhood that's difficult to describe. Incredibly loving and bittersweet in a way that I'm grateful I could experience. But that's just my take on it! Otherwise the movie was mostly just funny, lighthearted, and nostalgic. Lol, I also had trouble making friends in college and so was super stoked when this girl struck up a conversation with me and seemed really genuinely interested in getting to know me, helped me find a building on campus - kinda thought she was into me, lol. But then when we went to part ways she broke out the, "So I'm a member of the Christian Fellowship here on campus..." So disappointed 😔
Definitely cried at the Barbie movie! Wasn’t just a silly movie- touches on the profound and painful truths of what it means to be a woman and/or female presenting person.
@@hazekittyking there is some debate over it, but most queer folks agree that non-binary falls under the trans umbrella. Trans refers to someone who does not identify with their gender that was assigned at birth. Zach wasn’t assigned non-binary at birth
Those types of churches freak me out and I am someone who has been to and enjoyed church services at other churches. I went with a friend and their family to church when I was around 17-18 (had been to church with my Nan over the years and enjoyed it so I thought it would be fine) it had a weird cult like energy and the sermon was about how r@pe is the victims fault basically. It was extremely triggering for me as my retraumatisation was still very recent (less than a year) and I had to leave because I had a panic attack. Now I won’t go to what I call ‘happy clappy churches’ (I’ve been asked a few times by people I know) because that was in itself traumatising.
The weird and slightly suggestive pickle taste test at the start, going to church with momma, is our gorl potentially hinting at a Christian lyn straight woman era
Fundielynn is just the thing we need to spice up the last leg of 2023 imo! Just imagine her plopping down to do a bible study with me vlog, 300 highlighters in tow.
So, I live in OKC and this is definitely the children’s science museum. It used to be called the Omniplex and it was MUCH cooler; they’d do different exhibits for adults but then they changed it. 😅
We were there too. So I was like oh shes in OKC. I'm in Tulsa. We were there 1.5years ago and it was really cool but we did all the kid stuff so I guess just showing the stuff for adults makes it not as cool.
They must’ve changed it recently then because I’ve been multiple times and it seemed all inclusive to me. I don’t think it matters even the children experiments are cool
Don’t forget the tantrum she had when she made sandwiches with the deli meat that she didn’t like. Disliked it so much she threw the entire sandwich out instead of just taking the meat off, we love our non wasteful Gorl.
This pickle, the chemically poisoned sandwich, the cricket, the octopus ball, the chicken dish with the 'burned to a crisp' potatoes (which were legit not even brown, let alone burned), and the 'authentic' ramen are the only instances I can think of lmao.
Def didn’t sob at Barbie but teared up at the end montage lol). I also think a lot of cis women (like myself) probably did bc of the depiction of girlhood -> motherhood + a lot of viewers (including myself) that lost their mothers early could connect with it in a bitter sweet way. But yes, it wasn’t a super deep or nuanced take of anything heavy. Just maybe a lot of people (regardless of gender probably) connected w that part.
Amberlynn: reaction channels should be banned for stealing my content and monetizing it. Also Amberlynn: proceeds to use 1/3 of her vlog stealing other peoples content and monetizing it.
And even outside of the museum content, she's also been showing like, full clips of those annoying mukbangers she watches! Without even saying anything about the content beyond 'lol I love them they're SO FUNNY'.
For the girlies, there was deeper meanings that related to us for the Barbie movie. I cried at the part during the montage when she was becoming a real woman. I got emotional at other parts but it wasn’t just a silly goofy movie (though it did have a lot of those moments 😊)
I for sure cried during the Barbie movie- it was when she was in the human world and she was sitting next to the older woman at the bus stop and Barbie told her that she was so beautiful. sobbed
Come together is a Beatles song! It’s great. Bizarre to cover it in a church, but I’m not religious, so maybe I’m way off base. I love seeing Amber getting out and enjoying the world around her I hope she doesn’t fall back into old shut-in habits if/when the shine of the new city wears off.
Cringey Christians love to ruin popular secular music with shittily rewritten jesus themed covers. They've done it to everything from shake it off to WAP lmao. I don't understand why, because actual Christian music can be really good?
lol I always know it as the truck commercial song.. I forget which truck.. ford.. Chevy.. can’t remember the truck but the song is in the commercial lol
Seeing a new ALR reaction upload after finishing work is the ultimate wind down content. I don’t even remember how I got into gorlworld but I’m here for it
As a person who lives in Lexington, most activities like museums are at 90 minutes away so I can kind of understand not wanting to go out and do much. The horse park is the only thing I am surprised she never visited. I usually have to plan things out at least a day ahead if I go to Louisville or Cincinnati
But she doesn’t have a job or anything to do from day to day. She could have made a little trip at least 1 time a week. That is if wifey was willing to drive her anyway.
I like things like tech and science museums. I’m autistic and I don’t understand the social rules of why some things are supposed to just be for kids. 🤷🏾♀️
Dont come for me but i also cried during the barbie movie. That sad billie eilish song started playing and the flashbacks came on screen. It just spoke to me ok😂
I tried numerous times to go to churches with friends in the past trying to belong to a larger group. My favorite church was Unitarian Universalists. They don't preach from any book, just stuff about general human rights and they welcomed everyone.
I really hope Amber doesn’t fall deep into Christianity and do a 180 on her queer expression. It’s one of the few things I like about her, that she’s out and proud.
Not trying to say she wouldn’t do that, but I do know a lot of out and proud Christians too. It would def be sad if she tried to push her sexuality down though from church pressure
To be fair as a queer person with religious trauma and mommy issues 😂 I also cried at the end of Barbie when her creator is like it’s okay to change and I’m still proud of you
I absolutely hate the stigma around adults enjoying things from their childhood. Why is it an obligation to give up your interests/things you enjoy all because you've gotten older? I took my younger 2 to the park recently and I actually PLAYED with them, we were pirates in a lava ocean. It was so much fun! I forgot how much I missed playing pretend, to use my imagination in that way. But there are parents who will judge you if you do that. WHY?! As long as you can function as an adult, so what if you still do things you did from your childhood, it's something you cherish so why let it go.
I am the same way with cans though!! It’s weird but for some reason it’s different over ice. I could drink 20+ ounces of a fountain soda but a 12 oz can I can never finish. Maybe because it gets warm.
In her defense, it’s the OKC science museum and it is for all ages! There always a bunch of people with or without kids and everyone has a great time. They even have 21+ events for holidays and such
I think most women shed a tear or to . Its like we were heard in many ways. It masks as a fun whoohoo movie. Yes i cried during the speech for one.... I was honestly surprised you didnt understand why anyone would.
Ohhh what a fun vid for halloween! Im gonna sip some tea and yell at the screen lol Also fun fact take me to church is by Hozier and its a gay anthem about the oppression he faced in Russia!
I cuh-ried during the Barbie movie!! 😂 I went with my sister. She has already seen it. She looked over at me and was like “really?” and handed me some napkins 😂😂
For my bathroom trashcan , I use the bags that you get from the produce department. I dump my apples in the refrigerator, and then change my bathroom trash bag lol
I went to a firefly "exhibit" at Fernbank in Georgia as an anniversary date not knowing that it was really focused on middle school and high school kids. It was a little embarrassing, but we decided to enjoy it the best we could, and it was a pretty good time.
The science museum where I live is definitely aimed towards kids. But they have a night every month where it’s open and 21+. There’s drinks and trivia, but just going through the kid activities is fun too!
That museum she went to my niece had her 5th birthday party at…it is a science museum geared to children. Yikes Life Church. Culty vibes. They legit think anxiety and depression can be cured with Jesus. They also believe that being gay is caused by trauma. Btw I’m a middle school science teacher- that museum was definitely entertaining for 12 and under me not so much.
15:56 finally! Someone who gets it! I think butterflies are pretty, but I don't like them. They scare me. I agree that the science centre looks to be geared to kids. Our is. I do enjoy it, though. I'm not gonna pay to go on my own. My daughter and her friends did go just for something fun and silly to do amidst all the stress of high school graduation. And I go with the preschool playgroup I work with and that's really fun.
I think Amberlynn going out and about with her mom when she didn't with Faline or Becky is because when they're done with the outing mom goes to her house and Amberlynn goes home alone. She didn't have to do that before.

@@autumn68you’re literally watching a trans person’s channel........

It’ll be a dick moment situation type of deal 🍆
Fundielynn is just the thing we need to spice up the last leg of 2023 imo! Just imagine her plopping down to do a bible study with me vlog, 300 highlighters in tow.
So, I live in OKC and this is definitely the children’s science museum. It used to be called the Omniplex and it was MUCH cooler; they’d do different exhibits for adults but then they changed it. 😅
her visiting a childrens museum with her mom is like sad in a way? like theyre trying to make up for lost time from her childhood
We were there too. So I was like oh shes in OKC. I'm in Tulsa. We were there 1.5years ago and it was really cool but we did all the kid stuff so I guess just showing the stuff for adults makes it not as cool.
@@static_kittenmight seem sad if you look at it in a negative way but, honestly, it might actually be a little healing for her.
They must’ve changed it recently then because I’ve been multiple times and it seemed all inclusive to me. I don’t think it matters even the children experiments are cool
I've never been more upset with a Zachary Michael video in my life. The moth SLANDER. How dare you?? Lol
I don't think I've ever seen her react negatively towards food before until that pickle..
Don’t forget the tantrum she had when she made sandwiches with the deli meat that she didn’t like. Disliked it so much she threw the entire sandwich out instead of just taking the meat off, we love our non wasteful Gorl.
@@maxe-f9812She's the only person on this planet that I'd rather she throw food out than eat the entire thing while complaining
She lost her mind trying takoyaki, she absolutely could not handle it.
This pickle, the chemically poisoned sandwich, the cricket, the octopus ball, the chicken dish with the 'burned to a crisp' potatoes (which were legit not even brown, let alone burned), and the 'authentic' ramen are the only instances I can think of lmao.
@@amberdenise636 Oh and the pho with Jade!
She said "Jesus is my wifey now." PurityLynn arc incoming.
Amberlynn: reaction channels should be banned for stealing my content and monetizing it.
Also Amberlynn: proceeds to use 1/3 of her vlog stealing other peoples content and monetizing it.
That planetarium clip was not transformative at all and, like Zach said, not even presented with enough context to actually learn anything from it
Also aren't you not supposed to record the movies?
And even outside of the museum content, she's also been showing like, full clips of those annoying mukbangers she watches! Without even saying anything about the content beyond 'lol I love them they're SO FUNNY'.
Shes always stealing peoples ideas from tik tok
I did cry a little at the Barbie movie. It hits harder for women. But mostly I laughed.
For the girlies, there was deeper meanings that related to us for the Barbie movie. I cried at the part during the montage when she was becoming a real woman. I got emotional at other parts but it wasn’t just a silly goofy movie (though it did have a lot of those moments 😊)
Her hanging out with her mom is probably healing some deep childhood trauma. Maybe it's healing her inner child?
I for sure cried during the Barbie movie- it was when she was in the human world and she was sitting next to the older woman at the bus stop and Barbie told her that she was so beautiful. sobbed
That killed me too
Come together is a Beatles song!
How quirky is our gorl? Pickles, Jesus and a Children’s museum.
I did cry when I realized the little girl was the mom who loved the Barbie more- had to call my mom right after the movie!
I grew up in a small town so I understand this 💯
👋Louisville here!
I feel like the Beatles would not appreciate the mega church cover of come together
They're bigger than Jesus!
I like things like tech and science museums. I’m autistic and I don’t understand the social rules of why some things are supposed to just be for kids. 🤷🏾♀️
I mean, I always assumed it was because adults are miserable and are consistently trying to steal fun from others.
Dont come for me but i also cried during the barbie movie. That sad billie eilish song started playing and the flashbacks came on screen. It just spoke to me ok😂
I don’t mind if you cried. I was just trying to remember what part of it was sad
@@ZacharyMichael There are more emotions than just sadness that would trigger someone to cry. I cried at Barbie too.
Random fact about me.... i eat dinner but i only like eating food that i like for dinner. I know im such a quorky gorl 👉👈
Mama lynn has literally taken the place of ambers girlfriend
bestie I cried through like the last twenty minutes of the Barbie movie and all the way through the credits 😭 it was so existential to me
its kind of cute because she probably didn't get to do those things with her mom as a kid and now she can. Healing her inner child moment
But can we talk about how mobile Amber is? How is she doing all that walking at her weight? Honestly impressive.
HOZIER, Zach. HOZIER. And we need more HOZIER in our lives rn. Rofl.👻👻👻👻👽👽👽💀☠
zach was having WAAAY too much fun during amberlynn's entire pickle segment lmao
I tried numerous times to go to churches with friends in the past trying to belong to a larger group. My favorite church was Unitarian Universalists. They don't preach from any book, just stuff about general human rights and they welcomed everyone.
I got into UU when I was in 5th grade. I don't go actively but I still enjoy the community when I do show up
I cried when they showed the children growing up at the end. Of course my kids are late teens so I think that’s why it got me.
I really hope Amber doesn’t fall deep into Christianity and do a 180 on her queer expression. It’s one of the few things I like about her, that she’s out and proud.
Same
Yup. They would work harder to make sure she's not gay then to work on her gluttony and health
Not trying to say she wouldn’t do that, but I do know a lot of out and proud Christians too. It would def be sad if she tried to push her sexuality down though from church pressure
I once saw a praying mantis eating a butterfly in my yard and it was horrifying.
Zach is laughing and cacklin and having a party. I love it.
Something silly with Zach in this reaction. So much giggling 😂
It's the Beatles. You're thinking about the Beatles.
To be fair as a queer person with religious trauma and mommy issues 😂 I also cried at the end of Barbie when her creator is like it’s okay to change and I’m still proud of you
Hey Zachary. Maybe ALR is trying to have some mother/kid moments she never got to have as a child. Love you and your videos !
I’m so glad that hoodie is your merch because my first thought was “I need that hoodie”
"What is a moth but a prettier butterfly?" Ha! It's giving Carrie Bradshaw's "Squirrels are rats in fancy coats."
When she was showing the fun house mirror I legit thought ZM was gonna be like "Bestie, you look the same as you always do!"
It gives me life when Zachary cracks himself up with his jokes lol the pickle joke was the best lol
The science museum she's at is in OKC and it does have a children's museum in it, but there's really cool adult exhibits she didn't even show
That’s because the adult exhibits are to hard for her to understand in that pea sized brain of hers 🤭
"And she's got two boxes of couscous, let's f*kin go" 😂
You have to be careful with them Mega churches.
People should be careful at any church
@jaimereynolds258 True
Sooooo....she can finish a large diet coke from McDonald's but can't finish a 20 Oz can of diet coke?? Make it make sense!
I am the same way with cans though!! It’s weird but for some reason it’s different over ice. I could drink 20+ ounces of a fountain soda but a 12 oz can I can never finish. Maybe because it gets warm.
Wow, the Hozier slander in this video is tew much. But fr the part where she told the old lady that she is beautiful almost got me choked.
In her defense, it’s the OKC science museum and it is for all ages! There always a bunch of people with or without kids and everyone has a great time. They even have 21+ events for holidays and such
i think as a woman you would cry
i felt that alot while watching barbie that i couldnt completely feel the emotions bc im not a woman
Zach rebuking the megachurch Christian cover song was sending me. 😄
Zach thank you for saying Butterflies are just Moths in fancy dress, I completely agree!! Their erratic flight paths are terrifying…! 😂
This is probably a me issue but I have a really hard time believing “Come Together” is actually one of ALR’s “most favorite songs ever”
She heard it once on a commercial
@@nikkireigns 😂😂
I think most women shed a tear or to . Its like we were heard in many ways. It masks as a fun whoohoo movie. Yes i cried during the speech for one....
I was honestly surprised you didnt understand why anyone would.
That is exactly what I said on Alex’s video. Why did she not go out with wifey??
I love the mother/daughter content so far. I sure hope both of them are able to heal together through this time spent. ❤️
Ohhh what a fun vid for halloween! Im gonna sip some tea and yell at the screen lol
Also fun fact take me to church is by Hozier and its a gay anthem about the oppression he faced in Russia!
Not oppression he faced himself, but the oppression LGBT+ people face in Russia. He's a staunch ally.
I could ABSOLUTELY see AL find “God” and ruhlizeee that she’s “straight.” And end up with some skinny feeder. 1,000%
Oh and I could see it even more if some guy from church was the one to make her “ruhhalize” that she’s “straight” 😂😂
Nah, I dont see that happening
You heard it here first folks, " butterflies are gross and scary!"
I’m so serious about it
@@ZacharyMichaelthey are worms with wings 😂
I cuh-ried during the Barbie movie!! 😂 I went with my sister. She has already seen it. She looked over at me and was like “really?” and handed me some napkins 😂😂
i just knew there would be an astronomical amount of sexual jokes in this video because of the pickle eating
Buying little trash bags for your bathroom trash must be some rich people stuff I’ve never heard of. Everyone I know just uses grocery bags.
For my bathroom trashcan , I use the bags that you get from the produce department. I dump my apples in the refrigerator, and then change my bathroom trash bag lol
@@jaimereynolds258where i love, grocery plastic bags are more expensive per bag than a roll of trashbags.
Amber is healing her inner child, hanging out with her mom and shit lol
So fkin sweet haha
Why is that funny, though???
I went to a firefly "exhibit" at Fernbank in Georgia as an anniversary date not knowing that it was really focused on middle school and high school kids. It was a little embarrassing, but we decided to enjoy it the best we could, and it was a pretty good time.
Ambie, Gorl, stay away from the Koolaid
She is the sort of idiot they love
The science museum where I live is definitely aimed towards kids. But they have a night every month where it’s open and 21+. There’s drinks and trivia, but just going through the kid activities is fun too!
Take me to church-hozier
Come together-The Beatles
Get it together 😂
I once stayed in my car waiting for someone to rescue me from a preying mantis.. apparently I’m dramatic.. agh no that thing is scary looking
Im cracking up..LOL.."HinderbacK" 🤣😆
Come Together is a Beatles song sung by John Lennon
I watched the movie twice and cried at the end both times. When they showed different clips of everyday women and girls it really hit me 😢
15:56 finally!
