Man Dragon Quest III looks great on the Switch, they really enhanced it even more. Guess that's why it took so long to show us more

Metroid Prime 4: BEYOND looks incredible, Retro Studios is pushing the Switch to it's absolute limits... there is so much more going on in the environments in comparison to the previous games...explosions going off in the b.g... improved space pirates enemy A.I, new scanning, new real time lighting effects on the morph ball animation, etc... imagine what the Switch 2 version is going to look like...
Metroid Prime 4 definitely the big highlight of the show
Have you played other first person shooters on the Switch? Heck have you at least played the Prime 1 remastered? It looks good, but it is still disappointing.we know Retro Studios have a really high standards for graphics fidelity.
@@nightshades7620 yes i have Prime 1 Remastered but I only played the opening section on the spaceship and a little bit of the Tallon Overworld and I think the game looks great, and I already beat the game on GameCube. But Here's the thing, Retro studios is squeezing out every ounce of what base Switch can do, 10 yr old hardware... with Prime 4 and the game STILL looks as good as it does... I find that more impressive than what we're getting on the other platforms w/ hardware that is that much more capable... and regardless the game is getting a Switch 2 version without a doubt and it will look even better!
@@abjames3098 it's good looking but they are not pushing the switch to it's max. There are other first person games on the Switch with higher graphics quality. I don't know whats happening, maybe this is an older build, or maybe it will look better on the Switch 2.
Prime 4 looks pretty mediocre in the aesthetics department. Looks like it belongs on the Wii U
EVERY MvC game...online, rollback net code was........... Dang. The direct overall was SOLID, but MvC is finally uncaged.................. Yes.

The context would mean 3D Zelda. EoW was also developed alongside TotK.

This direct was insane!.. Solidified the Switch as King!! Just feel stuff is starting to slap in a way that makes me feel Nintendo knows exactly what they doin, still right on track with the other guys.. why mess with Switch when its still this good! Gotta be Greatest of all time at this point... the next console will still be a Switch I believe, just work better w the same games. Some of these games are wayyy to crazy for end of life Switch games imo.. idk lol.. Games will just work on both.

Great Direct. Some great surprises in there. Zelda starring in her own Zelda game is huge for me. Didn't expect Saga of all things to get a full remake with a bigger budget but that was a pleasant surprise from Square Enix. The Marvel/Capcom games finally comes to a Nintendo platform. Crazy to see it finally happens over 20 years later. And then we came full circle with Metroid Prime 4. Ended the first E3 of the Switch with the teaser and ending it with the first look as the last hurrah of the system. The game looks amazing. Can't wait to see more.
The teaser was in the middle of the Direct, followed by Yoshi, I think.

Wheres Ruleof2Review's reaction? I know he's going to enjoy MP4. Personally I wasn't a fan of the locking camera and jump strafing but I suppose that is what metroid is... I'm guessing it has twin stick and isn't fully clunky gc controls

Metroid Prime Remastered has dual analog aming on Switch. So this will probably have that
DKC Returns Returns.
Returns should have been August. I'm assuming Q1 2025 before March is a bit light which is why.
That new Zelda game's world map is LTTP+. Its literally an expanded version of LTTP's map. Zelda starts just south of Lake Hylia and its virtually identical in shape, you can see Eastern Palace, Hebra north of that (it was labeled Death Mountain in the localized version of LTTP), Hyrule Castle is in the same location. However, castle town is inside it instead of the courtyard from LTTP.
Death Mountain is now west of the Lost Woods and is an actual volcano; this is part of the "expanded" world map from LTTP.
Why I love directs. Shows a lot of awesome upcoming games to get for Steam deck
my wallet watching this is getting SMALLER. Marvel Vs Capcom, 2d Zelda and Mario and Luigi are the ones im looking the most forward to. Metroid will probably be Switch 2s "Breath of The Wild"

Thought the Nintendo Direct was better for actual games and release dates, but for pacing and major franchises the Xbox show was better

Was a good show! Not as heavy hitting as Microsoft's recent showing, but that's to be expected, seeing as most of the major games would have long been shifted over to the successor platform.
It was clearly better than Sony's lame duck showing. Where this presentation came out on top was; the number of classic goodies, and the number of titles that will be available THIS YEAR!
My expectation was set very low, so this show easily exceeded it. My hype-o-meter is reserved for Switch 2! 😉
The difference is most of Xbox's games are coming out later. This presentation was primarily focused on this year. By comparison, I'd argue this presentation was better because the reveals are more imminent.
@@JaidynReiman And also, the Switch is winding down while the XBSX should be at its peak. Taking that into account the Direct was great. That there're that many new first party games left for the Switch is quite amazing.

I think the biggest takeaway is; if this is how Nintendo is signing off on Switch AFTER 8 YEARS, just imagine what they'll be doing on Switch 2.
Nintendo is well aware of how epic Switch's launch window games were, and will be looking to recreate that magic. Whether they surpass, meet, or fall short of that target, the fact that they'll be heading into a new generation KNOWING the bar is already set THAT HIGH(by themselves no less!) means we'll be seeing Nintendo on their A-game! This should be fun...
People saying MP4 looks bad are absolutely delusional.
I've been rewatching the trailer and I've only played some of MP1. That fan base went from concern trolling about the roots of MP and how it's supposed to be to "It looks like a MP game." You can't make that stuff up.
@@NuiYabuko well there’s been some other games like Other M and Federation force which was not as good because they diverted so much from the other games, so there was good reason to be concerned until you see anything.
@@Bruh-nz8ub No, there wasn't. Other M is not MP and FF is a spin-off. Those games were supposed to divert. That's like taking MK to be concerned about a 3D Mario game. The thing is now being too similar to MP seems to be the issue.

I thought the show was a complete bummer. I'm glad we saw some Metroid Prime 4, but I would have hoped to see a little more than we got. The Zelda game looks cool! Hello Kitty for my 4-year-old daughter, though 2025 is a bummer. Everything else just isn't for me. The Donkey Kong remake was a total letdown.

Prime 4 looks like a downgrade from remastered remastered. Everything is too smooth and undetailed.

The direct was pure hype, a number of good surprises 😮😮😮! The hype train 🚂 🚆 went dropped the goods! Still no Wind waker Twilight princess hd or Kid icarus, Xenoblade. It was an A above recent directs. It was a Christmas 🎄 moment!😊
