I never look at Princess Catherine and think about her makeup, I just see that she looks naturally pretty. She is so classy and chic.

That's what makeup should do! Unless you're on a stage giving an address to people at a distance, makeup shouldn't be hat people notice. It's like if you're looking at a picture in a museum and what you notice is the frame, then it's been framed wrong. You're supposed to see the picture and hardly notice the frame. Princess Catherine looks gorgeous with very little makeup. The way she wears makeup only makes you notice her personality and how she shines. The former Duchess of Drama always wears makeup as though it's been applied with a trowel and she's hooking in Alphabet City.

Also, I love it when you call her Catherine, Princess of Wales instead of Kate. So many don’t call her Catherine.
Which would be okay if it was evenly done. However, I’ve noticed those that say ‘Kate’ will call Harry’s wife ‘The Duchess of Sussex’, which means the diminutive is meant to be disrespectful.
In my opinion they call her Kate as a form of endearment. She is so approachable that it is said in a friendly way. I'm glad that they don't refer to her as Kate Middleton anymore. How many years was she married to Prince William and they still called her by her maiden name. That was very disrespectful.

I think Catherine possesses a natural class and dignity, and she has learned how to use makeup to enhance her natural beauty without overwhelming her face. I admit I found her “Coronation cheeks” a little jarring, but with your explanation I understand the reason behind it. Thanks for spotlighting a Princess we all admire!
Catherine is just so lovely.
In the beginning circa 2011-2012, Catherine stayed with dark kohl eyeliner and she went a little heavy on the blush. But she did lighten up her makeup as she became more comfortable in front of the camera. She's a professional and she treats her public appearances as a job. It's part of her philosophy that it's the cause that's important - not her appearance.
Catherine is pure class.

Catherine is a refreshing change to "the other one" and her makeup,like everything else she does is always on point . I do remember the talk in the media before her wedding was about her "heavy handedness" with her blush but I ve always thought she looks lovely. Certainly no shining clown nose like she who will not be named 😂
The photo you showed of Catherine at The Queen's funeral was everything , beautiful but not trying to be over the top. I think another reason that she doesn't wear a lot of lipstick etc is because she actually talks to people and doesn't want to worry about having her teeth covered with product etc. Her whole persona is also a more sporty,natural (within the parameters of the event ) and her makeup look suits that. She has grown into herself so beautifully and rarely gets anything wrong.

I have found that I LOVE the way women with thinner lips look!!💖 I emphasize this because you also look at the way women with thinner lips age. Kate Jackson, Cheryl Tiegs, Farrah Fawcett, look at the women, Shelly Hack, look at those 70's women and models, how clean and fresh and youthful they are. The thicker, pumped lip generation might look glamorous but they don't have the clean fresh youthful appearance that thinner lipped women have. So I love the look.💖

I am not someone who usually watches makeup videos but i enjoy your combination of both professional analysis and down to earth attitude. My biggest makeup challenge is needing glasses, which makes it more challenging to do complicated eye makeup evenly but I work around this buy just making red lipstick and simple eye my signature look.
I have to wear contact lenses if I've decided to do make-up...I have thought of buying those glasses that you can flip down one side then the other, because magnifying mirror doesn't work.
I am visually impaired and I found rhe best way to get around this is to do a light shade in the inner third of my lid, a midtone shade in the middle and the darkest on the outer third and blend. This can all be done with fingers with cream shadows and I can use any color family.
What a contrast to the other one.
Being able to do your own make-up has the advantage that you don't have to ask the public to fund your make-up artist's expenses along with your own when travelling... not thinking about anyone (cough, cough, Invictus) in particular.
The public is not funding Meghan at all. She lives in the US, so it makes me wonder why you all still think of her.

Megan demanded that the charity pay for her expenses and pay to redecorate her hotel room (which was denied). For a previous Invictus Megan got them to pay thousands for her wardrobe.

I think Catherine does her own makeup and has a hairstylist on hand. There have been engagements where she shows up with her natural texture (beautifully curly) and she has mentioned that shes terrible at doing hair. She does what she knows but leaves some of it to the professionals and thats why she always looks stunning.
She went for a beauty course prior to marriage. She generally does her own hair and makeup for events. Did her own hair and makeup for her wedding.
I've always wanted to see her use a nude color on her lid next to her lashes and keep the brown above the crease. I have deep set eyes, and it's amazing how much that lighter shade can open up your eyes and make them look bigger!
And a note to all those who have allergies, there's a thing called an "allergic shiner." It is a description of the very dark circles that allergy sufferers have. No amount of skin care will help alleviate these circles, so go get some concealer that has a peach tone to use as a color corrector and also get a regular concealer to use over that. That combo works beautifully for me.

I think Catherine wears makeup to enhance her features and look pretty and attractive. I don’t think she wants to “play” with colors as they may not be flattering. The browns enhance her green eyes and a lighter lip color is best as her lips are rather thin. I think her makeup makes her look beautiful.

I personally thought the wedding eye makeup was a bit heavy. she could use some Light green in the eye makeup to play up her green eyes. other than that (I admit to being picky. sorry Catherine), she's beautiful and her skin is glowing. THE "other one"....honestly, a five year old could do better.

I thought the weight of who she was marrying and what her future will be suddenly hit her, she looked 10yrs older in the pictures before, than when she came out of the church....it showed how seriously she took it, how much she understood the role she was taking on and that her life would no longer be hers..... unlike bubble-brain MM, who just thought she was going to strut around like the Queen of Hearts in Alice In Wonderland screaming "Off with their head"!!!

I didn’t love her wedding day makeup either. My issue was with her frosted lipstick which l always see as so aging.

I agree with you about the make-up she wears. Usually it's very natural in the day to day looks, in her fancier looks it's still pretty similar except as you said it's darker and underblended.
Love how your make looked today -- glamorous yet not looking tacky or too much. Sad, I have monolid eyelid and glasses, so can't do much with it 😒 Can't recalled ever seeing Catherine with bad make-up. She is a beautiful lady inside out, and she can look natural or super glamorous without much effort. Her photo during late QEII funeral (black outfit + black hat) is the most iconic one. It gives me chill everytime I saw that photo. Regal like a future Queen should look like!.

When I was in theatre/drama, we needed to use heavier, underblended makeup so the lights didn't wash us out. For someone watching from the seats it looked perfectly fine. Reminds me of the "Clueless" Monet quote.
one thing I notice is that her left eyebrow is higher than her right one. She quit doing lower eyeliner when so many people commented on how not so attractive it was. She did it very early on and quit at some point after the wedding. Love your top
She had brain surgery on the left side, just inside her hair line beside her temple, when she was a child. Maybe it has something to do with that?
@@fibanocci314I knew she had a scar there but didn't know she had brain surgery. Yes it could have changed the nerve on that side of her face. I think that she could use product to make the other match better but maybe it really doesn't matter. Just something I noticed. She is so gorgeous it is of no consequence
I like to smudge a bit of darker purple or navy in with my neutrals at the outer edge
That tiny bit of color blends in and doesn’t stand out
The only makeup I did not like was the Earth Shot makeup with that awesome lime green dress and emerald. I felt the makeup was too strong and the colors didn’t look right …just off from other glam makeup she normally does that I like, the Bond movie premiere was great!

Catherine makeup is great as a business makeup.If you can be fotographed Your makeup depends on light, sometimes its impossible look great in natural and atrificial light the same time.
Makeup and clothing choices should make you look and feel good, as well as healthy. It should enhance you, not be something that people remark on. It’s a case of the person wearing clothes/ makeup, not the clothes/ makeup wearing the person, or just being a coat hanger

A story has gone around that Catherine began tweezing/grooming her eyebrows after experiencing bullying at school. Perhaps she is sure to have them professionally cared for.
I think she is gorgeous and her makeup is appropriate to her current role and future role in the monarchy. Plus, with the cameras following around, it would make sense that she needs to look professional while making appearances in supporting various causes. Love her simple yet classy look. 😊

Someone mentioned Catherine not looking like herself in that series of portraits. I agree. They look like oil paintings, not actual photographs of her. Just off a bit
They aren’t flattering in my opinion. Her features & color looked flat and washed-out.
And what do you think of Catherine's 70s-ish recent middle part and curtain bangs? I think it really suits her and is a nice change of pace.
I don't like middle parts generally (I've always had a side part myself) and don't know if I care for it on Catherine. In my opinion, almost everyone looks better with a side part.
It depends. My hair has waves, they don’t do centre partings. Doesn’t mean that I don’t think others shouldn’t have centre partings if they want

Catherine, Princess of Wales, is so amazing. She needs to be ready for day, night, inside, outside, rain, shine, natural light, super high intense flash. By doing her own makeup, she’s not dependent on another, in various places. And she’s a Mom. My mom and godmother had their eyebrows tattooed on at 80. It saved them so much time. And they both lost their eyebrows after chemo. Cheers! I wear a light glossed lip, it makes me feel fancy, ha!

I love the way Catherine the Princess of Wales does her makeup, so natural, accentuates her good looks. That is what makeup is supposed to do, unless you are a clown and we have an example of that in Harry’s wife.
Even before you mentioned your top I noticed it…except since watching your video regarding proper undergarments, my eyes always go directly to your bosom 😂😂😂😂. It looks very nice on you, and the frilly sleeves somehow reflect the sweetness of your person. To me, clothing and makeup are the “packaging” of our personality. That could be why Catherine looks like a “lady”, and her sister-in-law looks like a slu#.

This was great, seeing makeup on Kate in a variety of settings and how the techniques were adapted to different occasions. As far as state occasions with gowns and tiaras I am often surprised to find I am impressed with Q Camilla’s makeup. Hint hint.

If i'm not mistaken i heard that the royals are expected to appear more professional and neat, so no heavy makeup. Any type of filler, hair transplant, cosmetic surgery and those type of changes are frowned upon on royals, those fall into unnecessary spending and lean towards celebrity lifestyle instead of royals. I do love professional style especially when it comes to Catherine's coats and suits.

For her wedding makeup, I think she should have used maybe a dark brown eyeliner on the lower lash line instead of black. I think the black was too harsh. Overall, she looked pretty but that was the one critique I had.
Haven't watched the video yet, but I remember Catherine being roasted a bit in the press for her 'scouse brow' and heavy liner in the early days
I thought I heard on Caroline Hirons YT channel that British MUA Hannah Martin did Catherine's wedding makeup but Catherine ended up adding more eyeliner like she was used to wearing. Hannah had a softer take than Catherine wanted.
