I started watching all your excel videos and practicing because I applied for a job promotion and needed to take a excel test, haven’t really had to use excel since high school (25yrs ago). Took my test and was very confident and comfortable, I’ll let everyone later if I passed or not.
@@TCflorida Thats great to hear! I have been watching his videos for days! So I am glad to see you really got something out of it! I am happy for you!😀
I just missed out on a job because my excel wasn't strong. Let me say that after I'm finished all your videos I think I'll have advanced knowledge. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you
Hello! Mr. Jamie, your videos are excellent without any question. I have a suggestion for you, please introduce "projects" on the basis of your videos, so we can apply your teachings as practical knowledge. regards.
12:53 IMPORTANT TIP! While setting data validation he wrote "Indoor,Outdoor,Both". If it doesn't work for you, try "Indoor;Outdoor; Both". Use semicolons. Hope it helped!
I have been trying to learn excel for quite some time now. But, all the channels I have found so far either works on the very basics or directly forwards to the advanced level. I think, yours is the best series I have foundon youtube to learn excel step by step. Thank you for your hardwork.
Hello Jamie, I will be watching Module 5 of this series on Excel for Beginners. After watching the first one, I must admit that I no longer needed to go anywhere else. You are really great in your way of explaining the functions and interactions of Excel. it is very clear and easy to assimilate, moreover by practicing with your example files, it is even better! I take a few moments to say hello and thank you for this great learning tool. Jacques from Canada :)
Hello Jamie, your vids must have at least 1 Million views. I wonder why so many people are still deprived of the great stuff you put out over here. Hats off sir.
Thank you. Excel doesn't seem so intimidating after practicing these tips with you. Your instructional style is awesome. Clear, to the point! Ready to move onto formulas!
Thanks, I'm new on computing but now getting better on self study having your videos and you as my lecturer.i started with Microsoft word for beginners and now I'm excellent....I want improve on typing and keyboarding
Jamie, you are amazing! I have been self-taught with excel have managed to get by but man! These instructional videos are having me do repeated face palms! I have been wasting way too much time and effort!! Many, many, many AHA moments. Can't wait to finish the series!

So I have been watching your tutorials for job interviews to freshen up on, and came to realize that a tutorial going through each ribbons options and what they can, a quick summary of each, would be GREAT!!! that way we can know what everything does with quick examples. Doesnt have to be drawn out or long on each part.
this beginners tutorial is very helpful. I use excel in work but i've forgotten how to do things a certain way, this video reminds me of all those techniques.
Thank you very much for a great tutorial! Please keep uploading and if possible make some videos for formulas, as much as possible, especially with IF and some nested IF formulas. Hope you won't stop uploading!
I never knew all the things i could do on Excell even after using it at work all the time, now im learning so much and im excited to check out the Videos
Hi Jamie, I am currently looking for a job and your tutorials are so helpful. I've never been very confident using Excel, however that is slowly changing because of your fantastic tutorials. Looking forward to Tutorial B Level 5 :) Thank you so much!!!
Mr. Jaime I just want to thank you so much for these tutorials! They are easy to understand I’ve learned do much in watching this first video, I truly appreciate you taking out time to do these videos.
Great video, enjoyed learning more about data validation and conditional formatting! Knew a little bit about data validation but nothing about conditional formatting and what its use could be.
Thank you very very much for this free teaching. I really appreciate it! I have learned a lot. I create my own sheets, stop the video and do physically what you are teaching to see if I can get it right. 😀😀😀😀😀
this has been wonderfull full and its free, lets not skip the ads for the creator to gain some money thus helping him produce more informative content in the future
I'm very thankful that you are doing this great lesson. Unfortunately, I was unable to practice the slicer. I followed what you did on youtube, but Microsoft didn't give the option you did, and I appreciate any suggestion on how to do it.
Hi Jamie, Thank you very much for the courses that you present. These are the great presentations. I have a question regarding creating a table via Insert/Format Table. When we have a long list of more than 2 pages, how we can add the title in the top of the pages? thank you.
Again, thank you for this complete effort. I have enjoyed all your videos on Excel. I realize this series was created a few months ago, but it is still relevant and important, so thank you too for not removing it as it is extremely helpful. (I hope it will be available for a very long time!) I hope you still review these comments. (Actually, I'd welcome help from anyone.) I'd like to know if features of WORD can be used in EXCEL as I have not discovered such an available function? For instance, working on a database of addresses; somehow, the one doing the data entry did not use proper punctuation or capitalization. How to easily select the data and transform it from "tom jones on parkway st" to show a more standard format of "Tom Jones on Parkway St." without having to click each individual error to fix the issue? As it is now, I have to cut the data - take it to WORD, create a document and fix the issue and take the corrected data back to the Excel project. There seems that a better way would be available. Would also perhaps use the option to make all names (i.e.) "Tom Jones" to show as "TOM JONES"? I have hundreds of corrections to make. Or perhaps to make a global change (or per column/row) of updating or just changing the word "at" to the "@" symbol? Or, for example changing all entries of the abbreviation "Bros." to "Brothers"? And finally, I am noticing that some downloads I have the task of unraveling utilize something called a "Z.test" whereas a data field is purposely left blank, but has a double negative "--" in the data field. (Perhaps from an outdated version of this program?) When I want to recalculate the entries, I get a circular reference error and I cannot find this field to reference any other field to cause such an error message. Or, is it referring to itself? (And if so, why and how?) Without having to clear hundreds of data page entries individually of these blank flags (as I call them - to indicate the space is blank intentionally) what can be done to either remove these Z.test entries (what is a Z.test anyway?) or otherwise fix this issue? What can I use to indicate a blank field without leaving it totally empty or can I use some character that the system is going to mistakenly look at as a mathematical entry? Of course, this symbol would be exempt from search/sort criteria. I hope I am making sense. Thanks for any reply from anyone! (created Jan 2022)
Thank you so far for these series. Regarding the conditional formatting, I wanted to ask, using the icon sets for example, how are the arrows applied? I understand that Green is for the highest & Red the lowest, but is there a range or a mark especially to determine like a base or average? I don't know if you understand 😕 🤔 Really don't know how best to say it
Thank you very much. I'm learning a lot but I would like and I'm not sure that you've already taught cascading sheets? Multiple things you can do with the (Sheets) looking and comparing information?
Thank you so much for your help. It's been very useful so far. Can you do a video on how to make a parts and price list for a plumbing business. I'm new at Excel and need to make a price list on all our parts where I can constantly change the price when needed. Thank you for your consideration.
I love your videos, I have been trying to figure out something and was wondering if you could shed some light on it for me. I work with a massive inventory spreadsheet for work for thousands of bottles of wine. I have been trying to figure out a way to select some of the more popular wines that sell quickly and organize those on a separate sheet but still have the data linked together so when the numbers of the bigger worksheet change the numbers on the smaller worksheet also change along with the big one. Is this possible or do I not understand excel well enough yet?
Thanks for the amazing information. Would love to know more about the Icon sets in Conditional Formating. How the direction of these arrows work? I don’t understand it

Hi, Jamie! First of all, thank you so much for doing these tutorials! I'm learning so much! I have a question, though! I see that you put the data we could use to input into excel, but it's not the same as the data you used. Do you have the data that you used? LOL, just don't wanna type all that. I couldn't, but my eyes are weak right now. I did level 3 before this. If you can't, that's ok! I maybe just have to break my sections up. My eyes hurt when I am looking at the screen too long. 😶 Again, thank you so much! Take care! 😃
