Well it has left and right handed otter board fitted on both wings of the net to separate the 2 extremes, some nets may have weights usually a chain in front of the weighted net to stir the prawns off the bottom and into the moving net. The business end of the net is called the Cod end. In effect the net is dragged along the bottom. Down the Hawkesbury river these prawns would be called Hawkesbury daylight prawns. The prawns running at night are more of small king prawns and cook slightly redder: some say a better quality. I love them all.
