A friend of mine got picked up by the wave once in QLD, Australia. He reported speeds of 120 km/h and 10+m/s climb when he entered it. He said he was lucky to be dropped before it blew him over the Pacific Ocean. There was no way he could have escaped. This looks like a completely different scenario here.
3 Std später waren ziemlich viele Linsenwolken und die Cumuluswolken waren oben verweht! Ich glaube das war eine gute Zeit, der Wind war auch nicht zu stark zum einsteigen.

Robert Bernat The wave is always connected with mostly stable conditions and strong wind. What was the height you was able to get? What was the wind speed there? I got into a wave once with paraglider and I was going 15km/h backwards!

Hi Robert, you have my respect, regardless if this is a wave or not. Although, this cloud formation reminds on cumulus formation we see under waves, so called rotor clouds, I strongly believe this is cloud street formation, not wave. Also, I don't see any mountain in particular footage you presented us and no cumulus lenticularis or maybe altocumulus lenticularis. To me, it looks like you have entered in massive convergence. As I said I don't want to sound disrespectful, but now when we are discussing this thread let me tell you my case. I was flying at 30 m high hill in 10-12 m/s laminar wind. Sun was setting behind of horizon and it was end of the winter. So no thermals. I have gained over 1000m above hill. Is this possible for ridge soaring? No, if you ask me and I believe I have encountered mini wave. Care to comment?
Quite afew hours in sailplanes . If you are able to get above the clouds without ridge lift your in WAVE ....It may originate from wind shear over a cloud street but it is Wave. I've been in wind shear wave a number of times and 12-24 hrs pre frontal ,if you look in the distance there is a clue , high cirrus

The wave there from time to time. The gliders know them in this environment very well. I got the shaft there flew for the first time.
