i mean know what you need before you leave is pretty essential to any rvtrip. though i’d highly suggest making or buying a portable/collapsible wind turbine. has saved me many times when my solar was obsolete

We boondock only , we spent 12k plus on our system and installed ourselves. This works great for us use our bedroom ac at night when needed use coffee maker every morning waffles for breakfast watch tv run water heater, fridge on electric,
We are in twin lakes Colorado boondocking right now 😊
This is not cheap to do .

I'm a boondocker as well. And lemme tell ya, anything less than $10,000 spent and at least 8000watts, ain't getting you much. If you want to truly go and stay off grid, you have to spend the dough and time. Otherwise all those nifty electronic air conditioners, heaters, microwaves, ect, aren't going to work for long. But IF you spend the time and money, you'll be fairly free of long term charges at RV parks. Gotta have sun, and gotta charge the batteries now and then. Common sense, the world is in short supply of it. 😅

It’s very interesting that you installed the solar system and you didn’t tell the client what you can get and it’s limitations of the system. It might be best to do a little less coffee drinking.

I made this video because my client did not consult me about system design, he just talked to a sales person for an online seller of equipment, bought everything, asked me to install it, and never told me what he was trying to do with it until after the fact. If a client asks me to sell them equipment I always start with a consultation about what they want to get out of it so we can design a system that works for them. I hope that people watch this and don't make the same mistake.
